I dont understand americans system about owning a place and stuff like that. In indonesia, you buy the land, you build the house, then it is yours. You only need to pay yearly tax, the amount are different for certain areas. Like if you live in a small town like me, I own 500m2 land with a house in it. I'm paying the land and house tax Rp. 60.000,- (like 4 US$). and no one is going to take your property, not even the goverment. because its yours.
