Welcome to our American Fifth Wheel, that we've affectionately named 'Gracie Lou' - a nod to 'Miss Congeniality'.
She's a Rockwood Ultra Lite 2622RK - made by Forest River.
Fifth Wheel's aren't that common here in the UK so we'd like to use our channel to take you to sites and parks that can accommodate bigger rigs - and also as we spend more time with Gracie Lou, if there are any ideas, hacks or hints then we'll try to tell you about those too.
Like all touring, things can be a little hit and miss, and we'd like to share things, good, bad and down-right ugly!

Woodlake Camping & Caravan Park, Great Hatfield, Hornsea
@gracielougoesto is off on another little adventure, and this time we're heading to the East Yorkshire coast to a beautiful site called Woodlake Camping & Caravan Site.
This is an Adults Only site, and is perfect for those of us who has our furry friends come with them to enjoy the sights and sounds, and what the site has to offer.
One thing I don't mention in the video is price as I know that things like this can change, but I can assure you that it is extremely reasonable, and very much worth the money.

Street Farm caravan park is a relatively new park (at time of adding it's less than a year old), and it's owned and run by a farmer called Jimmy. He really knows what he's doing as this site it a gem, an absolute diamond! Pitches are flat, level and well spaced. Metered EHU, Water and Grey Waste are on each pitch. @gracielougoesto is taking us down the repair route on this journey. Having discovered that the living room slide-out was damp, and sagging - action is needed to rectify the problem. This is Delph Bank, Adults Only touring park, in Lincolnshire. This small-ish park has everything that you need. Extremely well-maintained pitches, beautiful surroundings, peaceful evenings, and even a lovely little shop. Just a HUGE thank you for your video. The content and your video skills are exactly what I have been looking for. I'm sure that you are a great looking person, but I don't want to see you, I want to look at the site you are visiting. You may have a dog, but I don't want to see it cavorting on a field. You may like a full English breakfast, but I don't want to see it on your plate........ you get the picture....... in more ways that one. Hi! We bought ours at CCRV Mildenhall. Paul and Avril were excellent, and their team were so helpful. This is a big purchase item and having that level of service was so good. Definitely have a look at their website!

Hi @stuartvarney5944 - We bought the fifth wheel about 2 years ago now, when it was new off the boat from the USA. This is the first time we've had an issue with it. We don't live in Gracie Lou full time, and tour around the UK all year round, so she is shaken about a bit (well a lot sometimes - the UK roads are horrendous after all). I'm just pleased that we found out what the problem was and fixed it. I guess it's like a lot of things these days, when you pull them apart, and see what's underneath, it's not what you'd expect or hope for. Thanks for watching.
I understand that possibly you’re been a little unlucky. However it seems the actual construction methods were perhaps below par. Did you not consider purchasing from The Fifth Wheel Company in North Wales?
We did look at them - their layouts were too limited and they were small in comparison to the American Fifth Wheel styles. They didn't suit our needs.
Terrible build quality - should have bought British made from the Fifth Wheel Company.

We have a 2020 model year Cedar Creek 38EFK, we had an even worse issue with a kitchen slide, after about 18months I noticed water dripping from under the slide when it wasn’t raining! I discovered that the person whose job it was to apply sealant to the slide “T” pieces had missed 1/2” on both the left trim and the right trim. The result of this was that rainwater was allowed to run between the T trim and the slide face, then down into the floor, causing it to rot. I jacked up the slide, supported it inside and out while still allowing me access to remove it. I purchased a sheet of recycled plastic the size of the old floor and replaced the whole thing. Now, even if it were to develop another leak, there is nothing to rot.
Oh no! But a sheet of recycled plastic is a piece of genius! Love it! Our fifth wheels bring so much pleasure, but like a home they need looking after and upkeep. Good luck Peter, and I hope that your Cedar Creek gives you many years of trouble free travels!
Doesn't the warranty cover it? I'm looking at buying a 5th in future and it has always concerned me that it could get leaks in slide out or bow due to weight.
You have to have an extended warranty and then you would have to live in the USA.
Forest River - the manufacturer of our Rockwood 2622RK, only offer a 1 year warranty and that's limited. Some places that you buy from may offer an extended warranty if you ask. Always worth asking. Ours is out of warranty anyway, and even though it was a pain to fix, in real terms we could have just made good, and not pulled Gracie Lou's slide out to pieces, but this way we are safe knowing it is done, and done right. I would never put you off buying a fifth wheel, it is our little peaceful place - well once we aren't being gawked at by everyone on the site! LOL!

Hardest and dirtiest is the roof. It's also the most important to check for any damage or deterioration. ??
Hi there, yes the roof is always a must for us too. The roof was cleaned first - it makes me a nervous wreck when he's up there! We didn't record that bit - sorry! One thing we like to check is that when we're visiting somewhere that there are no low-hanging trees in the driveway or by the pitch. We've got a few scratches up there from those kind of things.
Hi Karon and John - picking up our 2622RK in May so enjoying all the hints and tips and your reviews of campsites are great! We were just wondering about how you get on with black and grey waste disposal when you're not on a service pitch. I think we'll be getting quite a sizable tote but I see most Elsan points are raised so might be hard to lift a big tote.
Hi Paul, glad you're enjoying the videos. There will be more to come this year. As for a tote, we have a 21 gallon tote (US gallons), and yes, they are super heavy when filled, and yes, it can be a pain when the ElSan point is off the ground. If it is, then it's a two man job, or sometimes, if you're lucky there may be a manhole cover close by... and if you politely ask the warden or staff if you can raise it, then it may make for an easier life. We've been to a couple of sites where they had no issue with us lifting the manhole cover. Good luck and let us know how you get on!

Thanks for your video, I'm toyed at visiting Naburn Lock site or Poplar site just further down on the other side of River. Poplar farm site is a bit more expensive been a Riverside site but not adults only. Thinking of going end of October 😊
