I thought the judgement day is about to come in just 5 days 😅

Only Allah is aware of the timing of Judgment day, no other creature (human, angel, or jinn) knows of its knowledge, as Allah has detailed in 7:187 May Allah allow us to be prepared & ready to meet him, Allahumma Ameen!

Ideally, you address these issues before you even take the job. Me and my friends all tell our employers that we need our lunch break during jummah time before hand. If it’s only 30 minutes and you need 30 more to get back and forth from the mosque, then you negotiate with them and don’t take a lunch another day of the week. Obviously if your circumstances don’t allow you to get there on time and you’re at risk of losing your livelihood, then it’s a different case. I’m also in the US and it does “fly here” for me

Alhamdulillah to take a break to pray Jummah is not too difficult for the majority of folks that live in the US since: 1) it often coincides with the lunch break (time-wise) 2) there are multiple mosques nearby, and a lot of times there are multiple timeslots offered for Jummah With that being said - it is almost an obligation upon a person - given the influx of choices in most places that they communicate with their workplace manager & let them know of this religious obligation. As another person suggested - you could possibly make up that time during another time of the week to compensate. We do, however, recognize some people might have extenuating circumstances which create roadblocks for them, however as Muslims our duty is to sincerely try our best to make it to Jummah on time, and in the end Allah knows best :)

Absolutely! That's why the Prophet SAW would seek refuge in Allah from laziness May Allah make us people who strive to the best of the ability he placed in us without laziness & hesitation, Allahumma Ameen!
