Cal Kestis is such a great character. You see his suffering and pain and struggles and yet he grows, slowly, but surely. He isn’t too confident in his abilities, yet doesn’t shy away from his duties. He seemingly has a Captain Jack Sparrow sense of humor. His enemy will say something like “It would be wise to surrender.” He responds with “Yeah, probably.”
