    Nice video! Assembling one right now and this video helped a bunch between Micron documents and Formbot differences. Where did you find the EBB36 mount/Can wire strain relief bracket? Can't find one with connecting to Klicky mount. Did you have to make custom?

    Thanks for covering the Micron+ ! It looks like the manual is pretty well polished at this point. What are those red metal angles called by the way? Looks like a great way to align extrusions.

    So I have a v2.4 350mm, would you go v0.2 or micron+ for next build? I really want to go micron+ esp for 180mm, but for some reason I like the idea of v0.2 as just different from v2.4, but still love flying gantry. Porque no los dos?!

      I planned on going v0 after micron I no longer want a v0, the micron is so great!

    Something is loose or not rigid in the gantry. I've seen input shapers with zv over 28k accel with their formbot kits. Have you gone through and checked this?

    If I want to mimic this exact color scheme, is it obvious on which parts to print teal and which to print purple or is it pretty custom design not easily replicated?

      I did opposing parts in one of each Top right xy joint purple means bottom left is purple (etc) then on parts like the screen holder you only have 2 pieces, so one of each

    Cool video, looks good! Just finished my Formbot micron+ and did have some bumps on the way, partly due to the "workbench" (cough*, very old and wobbly Ikea table) I'm using not being square. Did your kit come with the 180mm gantry beam for the AB drives? My kit had 190, but 180 was specified, so I ended up building it with the older gantry and later cut it to fit the new one. Also you might find this interesting. If you use some standard M3 standoffs, nylon or brass you can mount a beacon/IDM/etc scanner directly to the x carriage. I use 20mm for mine, with Phaetus XG. Might have to try out the BZI idlers, already run BFI. Keep up the good work

      @@bubajou I get about 9k on x and 4.3k on Y, cleanest graphs I've seen on a 2.4 350

    I find that 100% CPAP cooling is too much. I rarely go above 50%. It's just so much better than a toolhead mounted fan.

      Yeah I run 90% on heavy PLA overhangs Usually 20-50% for anything else

    Nice work keep up the good, I like the no nonsense approach. Some UA-cams would make 5 videos about each step.. it would be interesting to see a an as bull BOM form each stage. I feel like some people would gain a lot by self sourcing.. the 2.4 almost needs a r3… with some of these mods straight away..

      Mammoth is three times the size. Plus most of the noise comes from the air coming out at the hotend. A bigger muffler wouldn't do anything.

      @@Browzzrr having researched the mods I think I’m going to sell the 2.4 and built a new one. I want to have stealthchanger and therefore need to rebuild half the gantry and upgrade to a new board. For now I will upgrade the hinges add The Filter and print parts for a v0.2 built

      @dezent so the x/y joints (that carry the x beam on the y rails) and the a/b motor mounts use bearing stacks and idler for the belts They are held in place with m5 bolts and nuts stock, but if overtightened they bind, or too loose they cause bad Input shaping graphs from too much play. The pin mod replaces those m5 bolts with pins so that you remove the risk of them binding or having too much play!

    Very nice! Quick question since I recently got in a linear rail: is it really necessary to clean off the shipping grease? Just curious what the benefits of doing that are

      100% the shipping oil isn't a lubricant for motion, its to prevent rust while in storage. the grease is designed for long term use, I would recommend using the Voron spec EP2 grease, lots of 3d printing sites sell small syringes cheap

      @@WarriorServent009 yep blue threadlocker for the frame, never near ABS/ASA as it will degrade it, EP1 is also recommended!

      ​@@Browzzrr I am a bit unsure where to start - with Micron or 2.4 I like the Micron because of optics & mods & tiny - But to be more rational i might go with 2.4 (first).... argh :)

      @@jimwhite4482 if you have never built a printer before, the trident is the easiest! if you really want the flying gantry, the 2.4 is also excellent, just a bit more challenging

      @@Browzzrr I assembled an Anet A8 approx 7 Years ago and modded with alu profile case due to the lack of stock stiffnes etc. It is still working btw. I am familiar with raspberry pi, arduino, electronic and tinkering things. 2 Months ago i bought the Creality K1 and now i want to get back in. I guess it is only a matter of time that i own more then just one Voron. I am just struggeling where to start with ; for now i want them all :)
