I’m liking and subbing to hopefully push it into the algorithm anyway personally I don’t know which game I like more between Jedi survivor and fallen order because I prefer fallen order’s story and I prefer survivor’s gameplay but both do an outstanding job at both story and gameplay also it’s weird when i hear everyone say that the game was super buggy because I played the game day 1 and replayed it a couple times and I haven’t experienced a single bug like not even one . Either way the story for survivor was one I really enjoyed I liked the bit of high republic in the story but I do prefer when the game is about the empire and I hope Jedi 3 goes all in on the empire just like fallen order I also loved all the stances in the game because it gives me a lot to experiment with and I hope they add even more stances to Jedi 3 even though I don’t even know what else they could do. Overall I love the Jedi games and I’m excited for the next one

Not just the worst FFXIV expansion, the worst expansion of any MMO I've played in the last 25 years. What's not getting mentioned anywhere is that crafting is dead compared to where it was a small number of years ago. The Market Boards are owned by a cartel who will instantly undercut you within minutes literally 24 / 7 on the large majority of things you can make to sell. Each item has the name of the crafter who made it. I spent a lot of time monitoring it. What looks like a random series of people selling items is a co-ordinated operation. They are working across all servers. The quickest way to spot them, which works most of the time, is that they will lower prices by a small amount to a random number eg set their price at 36,874, then the next of their accounts to 36,871, whereas most regular players will keep it rounded up to say 36,000 or 35,999. You put an item up and within a short time 4 of these have undercut you and they rotate which gets to set the lowest price. Finally you can tell when they do shift changes. At specific times of the day every day undercutting will stop for around 8 minutes. This is 24/7 365.

I think of DT as the Scion’s summer vacation. Just a classic Rick & Morty adventure. The ending was fantastic even if the first half dragged on for a bit longer than I’d like. I loved the twist on the Golden City. I love the Viper class, I haven’t had too much of an opportunity to try Pictomancer but I love the aesthetic. Really excited to see the Arcadion. 😁

Most of the MSQ was basically wacky races, but I enjoyed it for what it is. It never really felt like the stakes are high or there is any real threat, which is a step down from previous expansions imho.

I love Koana more than Wuk, I don't hate Wuk, I just think this expansion has a lot of unnecessary talking and tbh, most of the cutscene in DT can be skip without any problem to the story..... and the pacing is bad and not make sense, we are at the door of the city of gold and then, "Hey, you found city of gold, so you can leave now", WTF? Also, at the last zone when Sphene is going to kill people for souls, what are we doing? Sightseeing, watching Mirage music fountain and having ice-cream at living memory....

unbearable story in this one. Im not a fan of any of the ff14 story i just feel way too old for it and it doesnt click with me at all but this story and pacing is horrendous in this expac

I don't usually mind flawed characters if I can understand and empathize with them. Dawntrail's flawed characters are written in such a way where they don't feel like real people at all but instead walking plot devices with questionable-at-best decision making capabilities that even sometimes directly contradict with their personalities (in other words, doing some "huh?!" thing instead of what the player expects them to naturally do). All this made worse by the WoL suffering "silent protagonist syndrome" where in conflicts in cutscenes, we are limited to drawing our weapons and glaring but practically doing nothing at all while watching people die. And no, not all conflicts were about respecting 1v1 dueling honor or anything, those moments I do understand if we stand and watch.

The power scaling is so weird lol

I started off DT really liking wuk lamat, however by the time I really got going on act 2 I despised her simply because she is forced on us so much I felt less like a mentor and more like a damn babysitter. So much so that...spoilers...when she came in in the final trial I was pissed and hoping she dies. Especially with that flat voice acting in the trial. I love the new world and am excited for the patch content as long as wuk is involved as little as possible.

I did not enjoy DT because I fundamentally hate everything Wuk Lamat is. Far too much plot knowledge that is out of nowhere for her and her personality is overbearing. I wished her siblings would be far more conflicted, but loyal, because they all could have brought something unique to the rulership of a nation.

Yeah I disagree, We are the main character and letting us be a side character ruins the story and if this continues I don't know if i'll keep up with the story.

Natsuko Ishikawa, the writer of the MSQ from the Doma half of stormblood through all of Shadowbringers and Endwalker moved into some sort of "supervisory" role. The MSQ for Dawntrail was written by the team that wrote the Sky Pirates alliance raids in Heavensward and the Werlyt trial series in Shadowbringers. The whole story was written like a young adult novel, targeting an 11 - 14 year old audience. The age of the average gamer is 35 (I'm a good bit above this) and it's a 37 year old series. The previous expansion was written with this in mind. DT did not know its target audience. In this expansion, we offer help and friendship to people with generations old grudges who are in a struggle for their survival and real reasoning behind their strife and they just drop everything and have a love in because Wuk Lamat said something naïve and corny. One expansion back, we offer help and friendship to people with generations old grudges who are in a struggle for their survival and immediately two children run away to get mauled by animals and die rather than accept help and Quintus literally puts a gun in his mouth. This new direction was not the call. Also, the voice acting direction was very sub par. It was the worst directed and ill fitting voice acting since A Realm Reborn. This wasn't because of the voice actors at all, they were poorly directed.

Just started playing it it's a really good game can't recommend it enough the graphics are amazing really set's the tone of the game.

Was my first Horizon game, took a chance on it since I had no interest in playing this even though it came for free with my ps5. Finally gave it a chance a year later after playing Elden ring and GOWR, and so glad I finally gave it a shot. The world was amazing, was unsure during the 1st part, but think it opens up brilliantly providing more and more to the world that awaits. Was so impressed by the experience the game gave that I might just have it as my favorite out the 3 big titles released in 2022

Thanks for a well constructed and fair review. Full disclosure...I'm a HUGE Horizon fan...having picked up Zero Dawn in early 2020 and becoming totally hooked. I totally agree with your assessment of the "story" component of Forbidden West. Yes...is was ok...even good at times...but wow...Zero Dawn kept me on the edge of my seat for hours as the story unfolded. Like some others I would love to be able to re-experience that as I did the first time through. It still holds up (I played Zero Dawn about 2 months ago). IF you're interested in other UA-camrs who cover a lot of Horizon content check out the channel Kirsty's Focus (pun very much intended). She's currently doing a full play through of Forbidden West on PC. The mechanics, animations, NPCs, etc., were all a step up from Zero Dawn (but surprisingly not as big a step up from Frozen Wilds...which is my favorite part of the Horizon franchise, minus the story thingie...and I would put Frozen Wilds story ahead of Forbidden West). I didn't have as much problem with the utilization of the original Zero Dawn characters...and I was actually relieved when they played a role in "softening" Aloy's Go It Alone attitude (face it Aloy at the beginning of Forbidden West is just shy of actively unlikeable). Love the underwater implementation, and LOVED the shield wing gilder (how many times when I went back recently to play Zero Dawn did I jump off somewhere high to recall...drat...death by gravity exists again). I look forward to where part 3 will go. I have some "concern" based on the story from Forbidden West, but hope the developers will pull out all the stops to give us an amazing story and experience.

Burning Shores dlc idea that come to me in 1 minute . Aloy hunt Hephaestus travel to Burning Shores with the sunwing ( we are doing the flying ) lands fight some machines and a fem that see all that ( Seyka ) goes to her and tells her about the Quen . Aloy contacts Alva with the focus and after that Seyka takes Aloy to her tribe . Seyka is arrested because a soldier can wear focus . 3 or 4 side mission to help the Quen and a main mission that Aloy will use a Tallneck to find Hephaestus . More side mission that Alva will give to Aloy so both Quen tribes can meet . Last mission in the Caldron with Seyka ( the Quen will send Seyka there to redeem herself ) she will help Aloy kill Hephaestus but she will have the same fate as Qurea. No relationships so the thing that Aloy have say to Talanah in Forbidden West stays the same ( i don´t care about relationships ) and Aloy stays in character . Third game Aloy will go to find Cyan but Hephaestus that have live some of his code to Cyan have take over and Cyan is no more . Third game main mission something to do with Hephaestus and Nemesis they are allies and at the end Beta helps Aloy to end Nemesis but Beta have the same fate as Qurea ( that will make true the thing that the guy from the first game have say to Aloy but it´s not Aloy it´s Betta ) . Third game dlc Aloy will hunt Hephaestus to purge him and takes Cyan to Gaia .

Is more borderline problematic than predictable since if analize Dances of Wolves it explains why we not supposed to treat native like saints that destined to be martyrs unless their saved, why they can be part of out post conquest to avoid the problematic issue. The encyclopedia is the best part it it drown the problematic story for me.

I’ve played 25 hours and have not had a single issue with freezing or pop in/lag or anything like that. I feel like this game is very slow to get going and it takes quite a while to really figure out what you are supposed to do but once you get it it really kicks into high gear and is an amazing game. I was thinking about giving up a few times but that $70 (now $49 at certain retailer 🙄) price tag kept making me go back and try to advance and I’m so glad I did. I look forward to getting off work every day or my days off just to spend hours in this world. I’ve never experienced a game like this. I’ve never played Far Cry so I don’t really understand the comparison. I 100% would recommend this game to anyone who is looking for something new.

For me, even tho I loved both movies and the visuals, I am just not that invested in the world to buy the game. Maybe I shall wait for a sale as you recommended, but I think I will have a more fun with other games to be honest.
