Friend and I used too race T/A RC 10 at our local carpet and dirt tracks.in the late 90's. He didn't wrench and i didn't drive and had some decent finishes and a championship in a modified class, had the carpet paperclips figured out !

Kyosho had some sweet stuff back in the day! My dad just gave me back my old Kyosho Raider Pro buggy from my childhood. Think I'll have to resurrect it.

Well i guess i was wrong on the rear pod and fixed the title i guess its a stock aluminum bolink rear pod.

That truck is old, Tamiya may longer care or have legal claim any longer. I looked at them a few years ago. good to see that they are still available. I have the F350 High lift. Enjoy! Thanks for sharing.

That was the very first RC car I built I was 12 I think yeah. My brother helped me buy it. Still love the way it looks,yours came out great. Well done.

Love the story and your love for RC. My RC story is similar just instead of the lunch box it was the Marui Big Bear my older brother stopped using when he started driving a real car. The first hobby grade RC I saved up and bought with my money was the losi xx. Managed to buy a mint shelf queen losi xx and also have a crapy picture of the original losi I bought and built as a kid. I'd go to the local RC off-road track every weekend for years with my cousin RIP he past away not long ago. I got back into vintage RC a few years ago after losing my cousin. Last year I lost my last RC buddy on Christmas day to a house fire. I have so many fun memories with he hobby burnt into my memory.

I actually have a stealth transmission box. I of course used the tranny a long time ago. I wonder if the original box is worth anything? Thoughts?

I grandpas had a friend with a Rc dirt track and my dad and his brother would go there to race their rustler but then my grandpa got intrigued and bought a rc10gt and my dad was always with losi when racing so I have a xxxnt and my dad has 2 nice xxxnt and 1 nxt and my grandpa got a rc10gt and a rc10gt2

Some of the parts like the front bulkhead looks the same as my dads nxt parts

My son had one of the RC10's in the late eighties. He learned a lot from that and ended up a mechanical engineer. We bought a body for it that was a copy of the ZZ Top Cadzilla. It turned out awesome. I don't know what became of it! Maybe he still has it. Your video is great and it brought back memories for sure.

While it has its differences, the FX10 was heavily based on the Tamiya Striker chassis which also includes the Sonic Fighter. The FXT uses the same basic transmission as the FX10 which is a Tamiya based unit. It differs from the FX10 in the mounting tabs and of course the output cups but the inner components are the same. I picked up an FX10 basketcase some years ago and put it back together but not restored. I have not come across an FXT to add to the collection however as like you said, they are kind of rare. Especially so in Canada where I'm from.

Had no clue Bolink was so competitive in the RC market. Maybe someone can buy the Bolink name and start making RC's again under Bolink?
