Bro wtf happend too skylanders that shi was hella fun back in the day

Personally if I were to bring the franchise back I’d release a remastered version of the first 4 games for new consoles to bring back old fans and introduce the franchise to a new generation. The twist would be that it would all be completely digital and you wouldn’t need buy any figures to play the game. You’d unlock characters when you unlock their soul gems in the different levels but you’d start the game out with the starter pack characters already unlocked. I would also make it where you could plug and of your old portals into your console and scan your old figures in and you’d unlock certain gear and cosmetics only available through your old figures, kinda like what Nintendo does with amiibo’s where you don’t need them to play the game. I would save the introduction of the light and dark elements and have that be the gimmick of the new story, story wise superchargers and imaginators would be completely retconned and Kaos’ story as a villain would end with him being trapped in trap team

The competence between Skylanders, Disney Infinity, Amiibo and LEGO Dimensions was fierce around late 2015-early 2016, a battle only worth spectating LIVE until it silently ended by the end of the latter year, as the 'toys-to-life' format ceased all through.

Imagine, if you will, Disney Infinity 3.0: Gold Edition was ported to consoles. All characters unlocked, all play sets available, everything built in. The steam version lacks multiplayer and some post-launch content, so that can be added back in. I think it'd be a decent commercial success.

I was obsessed with this game

I Really hope one day that Disney finally have the balls to greenlit there own crossover platform fighter game in style of super smash bros featuring characters from Disney animation, Pixar, 20th fox, blue sky, star wars, marvel, and Disney Television Animation. Along with an adventure mode in style of Subspace Emissary from smash bros brawl.

Although I never got to play it Skylanders was a part of my childhood, I really miss the commercials and sense of community that was often associated with it

It was too expensive, that was the issue with Skylanders, my parents couldn't afford it anymore so we had to stop getting the games. I loved those games

so no one is going to mention the first minute of this video includes "that" music....

Thank you for making this video fr. I’ve always wondered why this game just stopped getting updates as a kid and never understood. This video helped me understand why Disney made the choice they did.

I still have skylanders spyros adventure and skylanders giants. I have many figures and used to play it all the time when I was a kid

the racing playset (specifically the san fransokyo and gravity falls tracks) and the inside out storyline were childhood staples

I remember this game, it was so fun me and my little brother would play all the time. Our only time we bonded. I really wish we could’ve seen 4.0 because i loved sandbox mode. And we would built the stupidest boss fights. But hated how much we spawned lol.

The concept of the game came from Skylanders. Skylanders was a success, so Disney wanted to capitalize on that success with their own version of Skylanders.

I used to play this but it would always lag and freeze on the part with Mickey and Minnie riding their red car or Donald Duck was riding the magic carpet in the first scenes of the game.

One of my cousins used to have this game and my other cousin had Skylanders, unfortunately my mum couldn’t afford either for me at the time so I used to have the most fun hanging out with them lol 😂

I was a Lego Dimensions kid and for some reason I had a visceral hatred for Disney Infinity because my child brain thought of them as "the enemy" (i don't even know why). Lego Dimensions was a banger game tho, i still like to come back to it every couple of years. Also, no hate, but I realized towards the end that this video sounds exactly like a high school essay which made me laugh a little bit

I'm gonna be honest, I had no clue EA did anything but snatch up companies and make bad games. Just look what they did to Spore and Peggle.
