Golf ball DIMPLE tech on CARS: Genius or Gimmick?
This is my opinion on the application of aerodynamic and fluid dynamics fundamentals to golf ball dimples car technology and a rough or smooth surface on drag. Let me know if you think I got it right or wrong in the comments.

DIY Easy Toy and Bicycle Storage System
Переглядів 14414 днів тому
I made a toy and bike French cleat style storage track system for my kids stuff. I wanted to get this stuff off the floor and mounted on the wall. This track or rack style system is adjustable so as my kids toys change I can easily mount them on the existing homemade track. ua-cam.com/video/LnKWp70niLY/v-deo.htmlsi=LaP4YaxJ51pkc7Hm ua-cam.com/video/dbRj2o3UrXA/v-deo.htmlsi=9UAD4fXGbtppSxJG ua-c...
Making a 3D Wood Emblem DIY
Переглядів 8721 день тому
A homemade wood logo is a great project for a beginner. I'm making a homemade wooden logo to cover up a mistake on my shop cabinets. I used book matched mahogany to make this logo or emblem using a bandsaw, sander, rotary tool, and hand saw. Once hand sanded, I applied a homemade stain brew and covered with Minwax wipe-on polyurethane. It covered up my sanding fail and was the final step before...

First Time Colored Epoxy Pour & Stain (Mica Powder)
Can you not just cut the first back piece to fit? Maybe I’m missing something…
@@kevinjohnson007 If you slide the cleats on from the end of the track that would work, but maybe scratch up the walls once installed. This way they are easy to move around and lock in place.
Interesting made this jig
@@ManuelCamiloSaldarriagaAcosta 👍 it made it easy installing my cabinets!
Got mine free with purchase of batteries. But I don't buy Ryobi anymore. I bought Bauer and Hercules tools and will probably never buy Ryobi anymore.
@@user-de3mg1hg5l so you like Bauer and Hercules more than Ryobi then? I bought this with a battery deal as well.
You should try out the magic markers! My kids love them they draw on themselves and nothing happens but then you draw on the paper and it’s like magic every time! I also bought face paint for when my kids want to draw on themselves. Both safe alternatives although the magic markers are much tidier. ❤ Glad you could fix it though! 🎉
@@SpookyBur That's a good idea. We will have to try some. You look away for 2 seconds and she's giving herself marker arm sleeve tattoos.
@@ClassicActWorkshop My son always gives himself a mustache. Can’t take him anywhere 😂
@@SpookyBur 😂
Lmaooo was just trying to see how to stop this 😂😂😂
@@jimmmmmypokemonplug206 👍 a new cap is worth a shot, but even then a shop rag and a zip tie still helps.
Id recommend looking for a counter bore bit, may help with the spade bits life and be useful if you ever meed to counter bore metal. Countersink as far as im aware is more when the sides of the screw+hole are angled.
@@Goodzikc yeah, if I needed to do this a lot or metal I would look for a better tool. This worked for making a quick French Cleat for kids toys and bikes.
Also youre suppose to put the drill in drill mode. You had it on clutch mode for not over tightening screws
@@turbojunkie971 👍 I know, I got there eventually.
This is a terrible tip. A spade bit is not the right tool for this application.
@@TheAndyCAK Are there better tools? Absolutely! Did this work just fine for what it is for? Also Yes! If I only did something I had the best tool for, I wouldn't get anything done.
Prime continent 10/10
Thanks.
Clean. What sound bar model is that?
Polk SB225, but it's a pretty old model that I doubt is still sold.
How has that 12v DCK been? I’ve been looking for a 12v drill, and I already have the hyper tough 3/8” impact. However, I’ve been seeing vids on the HT drill and it seems a little underpowered. I was curious about this one if you have any feedback. Great video!
@@sidsteverson1005 yeah, I like them. I have 3 of them. Good power, light weight, well balanced, battery life is good. The chuck isn't great being plastic, but it gets the job done. I tried the hypertough, but it wouldn't drill a 2" drywall screw into a stud (speed 1 or 2) and the DCK will do it on speed 2 with 1 bar of battery.
@@sidsteverson1005 with that said I paid 30-45 for mine. Prices are more expensive now, so id probably try to catch one on sale. At $70 id probably just step up and get a name brand.
old or new, we thought of german cars as luxury vehicles because those who own them have the money and the time. "being lazy is the privileges of the rich" - roof repairman
@@MRworldEtIkA yeah, I don't think I have either, but the 530 wagon keeps racking up miles hauling kids and dogs.
I hate the sound of children crying
Yeah it can be frustrating. With 2 kids, they just feed off each other and cry for no real reason at times.
It's not Ryobi's fault that you can't follow instructions. There are multiple arrows that point the way it should be wound. This is your fault alone.
I'm complaining that they wound it originally over the top of itself so it wouldn't unwind (out of the box). I had to cut it out then rewind it. Yes going the wrong direction was my fault.
This video is profoundly inspiring! - "Embrace your aspirations with unshakable resolve."
Thanks, much appreciated.
Usually we torque them on...
That would do it. Do you use a wobble socket or what do you do to get around the rudder?
@@ClassicActWorkshop I have a breaker style torque wrench....
@@SayWhatinAz gotcha, what torque spec do you use? I thought you meant using an impact originally.
@ClassicActWorkshop it varies on prop size, for mine it's 35 ft/#...if I has a Pic I would post it
Does the sound it makes matter? Or tell you anything? Im honestly asking i dont know much about props 🤷♂️
Absolutely not. I was messing around. It's a new prop from Acme propellers. In my experience new CNC props are a nice upgrade over older props (probably cast).
@@ClassicActWorkshop huh,ok cool I guess 🤷♂️ like I said I don't know much about them lol thanks for the answer btw
Not the CNC I was expecting
What did you expect? Cause I might have to check it out.
Could have just shoved a screw driver or an old bolt in there
Yeah, I have the pin, but it wants to fall out. So this won't fall out on me.
Even the corded jig saw has that table problem. I thought it was me because i couldn't get it to lock squarely. It had me doubting myself so bad i stayed away from jigsaws😂.
Ryobi I assume or another brand?
@@ClassicActWorkshop yeah ryobi
@@mgd9151 I have an old black and Decker corded that I really like, but the power of cordless is pretty impressive.
@@ClassicActWorkshop i will have a try, been buying a lot of ryobi stuff lately, it's cheap but get the job done around the house.
Softer!
Idk who taught her to use a pencil like a chisel, but it wasn't me.
clean my toolbox? wtf?
😂 give it a shot sometime.
Can't you replace the plastic with metal?
I don't think so unless I make something myself. If I do that it would probably be out of wood.
@ClassicActWorkshop yes wood, or a 3D printer aswell, will it be difficult?
Homeowner tool. Complete crap
I have used Ryobi tools specifically drills for a lot more than the typical homeowner and been pleased with them, but the jigsaws aren't good IMO
I don’t think you should be relying on a jigsaw of any make or model to make square cuts though… as a finish carpenter I usually reserve the jigsaw for rough cut outs or scribing
Yeah, completely agree. I probably use a jigsaw in situations I should use something else, but I still at least set my jigsaw up square and find this frustrating.
@@ClassicActWorkshop yeah fair enough! Bosch’s 18v cordless jigsaw is far and away my favorite one- I’d recommend it!
@@Chatoyance96 Appreciate the recommendation, I was thinking Bosch or Makita for a better one.
What u mean!! ..it does the job..
Yeah that’s unfortunate and no realistic way of solving it either
I'll probably try to rip the plate off and try to make a wooden base plate sometime, but I'll always have to manually make it square.
Omg that is an irredeemably bad design.
For sure. Sucks because aside from the base plate it is a good tool.
Paint thinner
Seems hard on the finish but likely works quickly.
Brake cleaner
Sounds a bit aggressive, but should work well.
BMW and Volvo smell like crayons lol
Yeah someone also told me his early 2000s Chevy dash smelled like this.
E for effort 😂
😂
Ima go with replace or repair the lug bolts also.
For sure.
i would probably change the lugnuts before it causes you a headache
Agreed. Had them on order.
Now lug nuts and a wash
Yup, maybe even brakes and rotors.
Nice work. Keep it up
Thanks, much appreciated
Why should shelves line up? If anything, I would have made those shelves adjustable so they can be moved to how you need them. That would have been easy enough. That is how my shelves are. I guess if you never plan on needing a change then it's fine.
Yeah agree, because these are for my shop and for tools and heavy stuff I thought it better to mount them securely.
Shelves should be the way you want them and don't care about anybody else
Agreed! 👍
It worked well for the wide cabinets.
That's smart
Thanks, made it nice taking my time to mount securely to the wall.
Those clamp ends are reversable lol no need for anything but a chunk of 2x
Yeah, I just wanted the extra stability. The cabinets to the right were 60" wide so the tool was more for installing them.
... they make shorties for a reason
Yeah, making my own seemed better than buying something.
Been there done that before that's why they call it wrenching have a blessed day today 🙏
For sure. It's just part of it!
Universal joint socket adapter?
I HAD TO DO THAT TO A BOX END FOR A REAR SHOCK ON A DODGE RAM. THE TOP BOLT WAS IN A DUMB SPOT LIKE THAT!
Somehow the easy stuff just never turns out to be easy.
I had a fender flare fly off on the freeway
Haha, did you go back and get the fender or was it a goner?
Must be a gm
BMW
Well not really on the first trip buy my clutch broke after 5 months🙃
Yeah, pretty costly repair Im sure.
Wish i could see whats going on but theres words over whats going on 😢
Sorry newbie! Thanks for pointing that out. If you watch till the end you can see it. I also plan to post a youtube video with more details on building them and how they work on Sunday!
Thats pretty slick! Bet you could use that for tons of other stuff too! Better hurry and patent that! You could definitely sell that !
I wish I could take credit, but I saw it on @fatthumbwood. This is just my version in use!
I like ur cupboard install, cool ...however do u fare that termites may be in plywood, ....in Jamaica we have that challenge of termites in the ply we buy sad.
I've never had an issue like that with plywood here in the US.
I would have just used a 2 x 4 and a bottle jack
That would work too. I don't have bottle jacks and the cabinets to the right of the one installed in the video are double width (60").
