I played a similar game and I must admit that the lack of direction, purpose and story spoils the gameplay for me, somehow I need to have something to achieve in the game 😅

Ngl, the story lost me. It felt like the most Cookie Cutter political story ever seen, one faction hates the other, oh wow. And the general pacing was off a bit, wish we could actually further one faction vision once the other is gone.

Background of the game goes like this. Your character is an old mob boss that just got out of prison and reconnects with his old mob crew but their previous territory is managed by the new younger "made" members. Since you've been in prison you've not only become estranged from the daughter but ur beloved city has gotten horribly overrun with violence and new crews popping up because of the power vaccum. After a disagreement and assaulting a made member you get kidnapped, betrayed and ostracized to a new territory for your operation. The agent is an FBI agent that you reluctantly work with to gain more power in hopes to retake your old town, consolidate power, stop the violence from spreading and ultimately reconnect with your daughter. If you know Chicago mob history and/or seen King of Tulsa you saw the background story right away. The game is basically you building a drug money laundering town sim, funny that they call it GoGo Town cuz Go Go Juice is a slang term for liquid ecstacy (GHB) look it up lol

It's so refreshing to hear recommendations that aren't the same fifteen farming sims. Please continue this series!!

You've articulated my feelings about this game better than i ever could. Perfectly said. Frostpunk 2 had me hyped, but it just simply lacks everything that made OG Frostpunk so fun. I planned for months to do a FP2 series on my channel, but after putting like 40 hrs into the game off-camera, to me it just came off as.....meh.

Its like a stylized stick fight. Should be very fun.

I kept thinking of sandwhich instead of Sand Witch 😂 This game kind of suffers something similar to another game called Sable. The world is pretty, it's nice to travel around, and the stories are thoughtful, but the depth really isn't there. To the developers credit. It is a indie game and I understand so much can be done with a solo/small dev team.

I loved the chill cleanup gameplay of this demo! Spilled being developed by a solo dev living on an actual boat makes it extra appealing to me to dive into when we can! 💜
