Autumn Ambience - A silent vlog - Walking Around Bristol, UK November 2024
Autumn Ambience
I love the changing of the seasons and Autumn is definitely my favourite.
Here I am walking from the shopping area of Bristol up to the BRI (Bristol Royal Infirmary) and back again.
You will see some beautiful old buildings along with some newer additions which I think adds to the eclectic vibe in Bristol.
You can see some artwork by Banksy, hear the sounds of the bustling streets and see some rich Autumn colours as I walk under the trees of St. James Park.
There are many gorgeous sights to see in Bristol, let me know if you want to see more

Hi great video! In the description it says 12lbs of flour!
I love an eclectic look but this year I have gone for pink, rose gold with white and silver
Hi Heather I hope you’re well ❤
@@simonedutch558 hi 👋 I know I haven’t done any videos for a couple of weeks. I am hoping to get back on track in time for Christmas 🎄
Your crystals look absolutely beautiful, I could have kept looking outside your window with the snow and a hot drink all day ❤❤
This is unusual for my city and even more for this time of year
I'm coming down on the 23rd city v Burnley looking forward to seeing a bit of Bristol love your content ❤️ keep it up 😊
@@MichaelBlake-kt8nw thank you so much I appreciate that ☺️
Hi Heather, this looks interesting! Will there be a longer version? Have a wonderful day X
@@simonedutch1264 there was going to be but it’s gone a bit haywire… I might have to make a video about how wrong it’s gone lols
@@CoffeewithHeatheroh no what happened? 😢
❤❤❤
Hi Heather, oh I loved this so much, I've had to watch it again. The first time I watched it I dosed off because it was so relaxing. I always find you so relaxing to watch, so thank you for bringing us along and doing this. It was beautiful XX
@@simonedutch1264 I am glad you enjoyed it. I will definitely take you for another walk
No gimble or phone holder was used in the making of this video. I hope it isn’t too bumpy
Bristol looks like the city of Buses 😂
Wow Heather what was that delicious pie at the end was that like a bread butter pudding with fruit? Would love to know how you made this PLEASE ❤❤❤
@@simonedutch558 oh yes it was raspberry and blueberry bread pudding - it’s really easy just put some bread in an oven proof dish with cinnamon, nutmeg ginger, the fruit that you want to add and cover with custard. Put it in the oven for about 20 minutes and you’re done
@@CoffeewithHeather brilliant thank you Heather I’m going to make it for sure, I love bread pudding. Thanks for sharing too
@@CoffeewithHeather thank you so much Heather I’m going to make this for sure. I love bread pudding so much and thank you for sharing
@ you’re welcome ☺️ let me know how you get on
Wow!
Brilliant shopping haul Heather, you got so much for your money I feel....well done! Your blueberry pie sounds delicious.
@@simonedutch1264 I will have to video the blueberry pie making 😋
Delicious meal idea Heather, I'm always looking for cheap family meals. This was extremely relaxing to watch, you could definitely be doing some asmr as this was so good to just relax too. Thank you, and I hope you have a wonderful day XX
@@simonedutch1264 thank you I love some ASMR myself and when I was editing this video I couldn’t bring myself to put any commentary on it so I thought I would experiment a little and try it without to see what happened
great content ! i really appreciate for your content !
Thank you ☺️ I am glad you enjoyed
great work !
Hey Heather, just checking in! I hope you're keeping well and had a lovely weekend. X
@@simonedutch1264 hi 👋 how are you? Hope you had a great weekend
@@CoffeewithHeather I good thank you. How are you? I hope you had a lovely Halloween with your family.
Hi Heahter, great video really enjoyed it. What was that at 2.14 it sounded like a spirit coming in? I've noticed before when the plant moved and another time it seemed like a spirit around you. Have you ever noticed this? I'm not trying to be weird or anything and it could just be nothing but maybe you've noticed things. Anyway I hope you have a fab weekend, take care XX
I think it was my budgies chirping but it wouldn’t surprise me if a spirit showed up in a video
@@CoffeewithHeather Maybe, but I don't think so. If I'm wearing headphones, it's definitely a lady voice whispering. Or maybe I'm just going mad LOL, it's totally possible hehehe! Have a wonderful Sunday.
@@simonedutch1264oh I listened with my headphones on and it’s the sound of the original audio 😂 the lady you’re hearing is me talking to my daughter
That sure does look cosy and comforting! Well deserved after a busy week I’m sure ❤❤❤
@@simonedutch558 it adds heat and helps us feel cosy
Putting the candles to work in the disused fireplace
Freezing is a great tip, as is reducing portion sizes. I also like to buy in bulk, and catch great deals. Recently I found 12oz of raspberries for $2.20 each, and strawberries 2lbs for $3.59, both at Costco! Been enjoying those lately. Also, you mentioned prices going up a few times. The short answer is that the food isn't getting more expensive, it's actually that the currencies are getting less valuable. Inflation is the core of this problem. I recommend "Broken Money" by Lyn Alden. I also recommend the UA-cam video summary of the book narrated by the author. Also checkout the "Hidden secrets of money" series on UA-cam by Mike Maloney. There is a solution, but it's hard to understand without understanding the problem first. Thanks again Heather!
👍
You're so right Heather, the freezer is our best friend. And stretch the meat out, and put things like dumplings in the casserole, Yorkshire with the Sunday roast to fill the family up and keep some roast meat back for another night. You need to make your own Yorkies Heather, they are so easy to do, and much cheaper. Have a great day X
@@simonedutch1264 I made Yorkshires this week. I love a Yorkshire pud. Have a great day hun x
@@CoffeewithHeather Oh so sorry I actually did see that...silly me!
@@simonedutch1264 no worries I forget what day of the week it is
@@CoffeewithHeatherHehehehe me too, but I remember thinking at the time what a stunning Yorkie yours was. I hope it tasted as good as it looks.
@@simonedutch1264 it did come out scrummy so it worked out
Hi Heather, definitely some great ideas here! I must have missed a vlog, which one had the carrot cake that you made please? Cheers and I hope you are having a great week.
@@simonedutch1264 hi 👋 don’t worry you didn’t miss anything it was on TikTok. It wasn’t a tutorial but I will make more because we love a bit of carrot cake here
@@CoffeewithHeather Brilliant thanks Heather, you're a gem.! Have a lovely day X
@@simonedutch1264 you too sweetheart
That looked absolutely delicious Heather, there is absolutely no way I would be able to buy smoked salmon for that price here in Australia. I wish I could because I love it. You are very clever at coming up with ways to stretch your money for meals. That is quite an art these days!
@@simonedutch1264 The old techniques are the best. It’s cheaper than chicken at the moment I can’t believe it
where are the items ????
@@carolinedunphy957 they are edited into the video. My husband had started putting everything away so I couldn’t just hold them up. At the start of the video I did show the bulk of the items in a clip and then went into details about what exactly I got and how much I paid. I also explained this format during the video and the reason.
Hello heather 👋🏾 i love your videos ❤
@@Makeda2TheWorld thank you so much hun 🥰 I hope you have a beautiful weekend
Hi Heather, oh I loved this one, I was with you on every single on of your points. Seriously cleaning products....where do I start they are honestly the biggest waste of money. I tracked my spending for the past 12 months and I tallied up I spend only $A10.00 for the year. I am not buying into the marketing and like you I'm older and grumpier now. I'm not even joking and my house is clean I promise you. Your nails always look lovely I thought you might be a hand model actually. I have an autistic daughter and life can be hard. I hope your son is doing well. What are you up to today? XX
Look forward to seeing more from your channel! Greetings from Tasmania!

@@Makeda2TheWorld hi there my friend welcome 🤗 so nice to have you here I hope you’re having a fantastic day
Are sure your water to flour proportions are correct?
@@dancingmatildashoes well I did get a fantastic loaf of bread out of it and I make it a couple of times a week. Different flours need different amounts of water and different amounts of prove times. What type of flour are you using? Wheat? Rye? Spelt?
12lbs is equal to about 2 and a half bags of flour in the US!
Brilliant Heather, I love beetroot with feta salad and I also love beetroot juice.. it’s delicious ❤
That sounds delicious. I love beetroot. I had some for breakfast the other day with a boiled egg - it sounds weird but I basically ate the beetroot while I was waiting for the egg to boil lols

Broccoli STALKS 😮💨
@@missyb40 yes delicious 😋
@@missyb40 thanks for commenting it really helps my channel. I noticed last week that people are more interested in commenting about errors. You are the third person to do that - be negative when someone is posting positive content. Anyway keep going it really helps small channels like mine get more attention from the algorithm. And feel free to troll my other videos I could use the watch time
@@CoffeewithHeather I don't troll honey I just want people to take you seriously. Not everyone wants to see you fail or pour negativity into your greatness. You are right to NOT get discouraged but also don't allow any to make you defensive. Some people feed off of that energy simply because they're miserable.
That looks so good omg I need to try that🩷🩷
@@Crystal_Clearx I hope you enjoy ☺️
You can live well for less if you’re prepared to learn new skills and are willing to try new things
Soup
A fantastic price on the chicken this week
Cooked? Baked !!!!!!!
@@WW-nt7wt it’s a play on words - a little modern slang the use of the word ‘cooked’. You may have heard people using it in seemingly non-related situations. Cooked being a metaphor for something being ready or very good but that it took time for it to be prepared properly
@@WW-nt7wt just to clarify, ‘cooked’ is a term referencing that the tutorial video is ready to watch not that the bread is ready
But in fairness the use of the word “cooked” as a metaphor is not new. The phrase “your goose is cooked “ has been around for centuries in English as a way to tell someone that they’re “done” or “finished” with a task at hand.
Hi Heather, there are lots of things I wish I could tell my younger self, but that would be more around parenting and things I wish I'd known about mental health. But on the financial side I knew very young that I wanted to make lots of money, and I was a very careful spender and a huge saver of money.
Mental health is definitely something I want to talk about on this channel and this video is part of that. Money and financial security are a major source of stress and anxiety for many people. Knowing that you aren’t alone in your experience can help.
Lots of people mention don’t waste money on useless stuff that doesn’t last or that is just junk for the house
Brown Sauce all the way for me 😂
Using up bread is a great way to make the most out of your weekly groceries and reduce your waste
Brilliant ideas Heather, thank you for sharing. Cranks recipe book has a great recipe for bread pudding. I have my nan's old book which she would have brought out from England many years ago. Also, another great recipe for leftover bread is Welsh Rarebit....super tasty!! Have a great day XX
@@simonedutch1264 thank you so much 😊 have a wonderful day
Keep in mind that I am in the UK mild climate in Autumn 🍂 so it’s important to keep the dough temperature up by wrapping it up warm and using steam 😊
❤❤❤ 😋
Hi Heather how are you? Brilliant job, I was really looking forward to this recipe. It looks absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to make it. Thank you so much for sharing and have a wonderful Monday ❤
@@simonedutch558 let me know how you get on with it. You are very welcome
@@CoffeewithHeather Thanks Heahter, I definitely will.
Sometimes I can think I’m the only one fighting in the Battle of the Mould! I found your video useful so, thank you. I’ve been spraying cooking/cleaning vinegar (which is only 5% acidity) with lemon juice mixed in and that has helped but, with all the continuous rain & damp weather that we’ve been having, mould has come back with a vengeance🙁 I bought a dehumidifier from B&Q online and that is helping but it hasn’t irradiated the mould! Anyhow, over the summer we were able to kill the weeds growing in between the block paving using 15% white vinegar mixed with washing up liquid and salt. So, I’m going to use 15% or 20% white vinegar with a teaspoon of lemon in a spray bottle and see if this solution finally kills the mould for good! Also simonedutch558 comment about using clove oil is super useful, so I’ll give that combination a try as well! I’m going to make a video though I’m a bit nervous and embarrassed to show the mould on my bathroom ceiling🫣😬🇬🇧
@@flowers1-2-1 don’t worry you’re not alone I try so many things but so far the vinegar seems to work well
@@flowers1-2-1 sounds like a nightmare I think it’s in the house it’s hard to remove without emptying everything and cleaning
