If you are flying a G Reg Plane then just a UKCAA PPL. If you are flying an EU plane you need an EASA PPL

The morane saulnier ms 893 Commodore rallye its an absolute delight to fly. I have some 200 hrs in different versions. Once i took off on a 800m grassstrip, just to try if i could reach 1500ft before the end of the strip. With 40° flap,no problem at all. Me and my friends used it to towing banners, so the prop was tweaked to increase the climb, but cost a little in speed. I loved to fly them.😊

I love UA-cam algorithms because it led me here, I’ve no idea why but I’m pleased it did.

No such thing as a gyro copter.
Why were you not wearing a life jacket flying over water (English Channel) what equipment did you have for crossing English Channel, should have PLB, inflatable dingy on P2 seat and should be wearing life jacket in the very least.
@@nigeltaylor58 life jackets were on the back seat. You can wear life jackets on a crossing or have them close by. You don’t need a dingy. PLB is also on the aircraft. If you have an engine failure you follow your IA’s. You are in you best glide and you have plenty of time to put your life jacket on, circle a boat or glide to the coastline. When an aircraft flies over water is does not know. The more hazardous flying in Europe is flying over a Forest & flying over a mountain range. You need to understand how mountain waves and weather can change in the mountains

Nice one, I'm based at Hangar 13 in NWA, would like to link up next time you are around. Thanks for sharing this, keep up the vlogs. Would recommend reducing the music volume and also maybe try mounting the camera as its hard to follow due to the shaking. A 360deg camera works great for aviation content. Just one inside the cabin can capture all angles. Listing the ICAO codes of the airfields landed in the description is a nice touch. Thanks

@@tedkeegan4751 Hi Routing EGSX North Weald to LFOT Tours (Customs Check) LFOT Tours to LFCS Bordeux Léognan Saucats (Over night stay) LFCS Bordeaux to LEVD Valladolid there is alternate of Burgos LEBG LEVD Valladolid to LEJE - Granada Flying in Europe is a lot more relaxed than flying in the UK
I only go in the aircraft with two engines, knowing my luck!
With the modern single engines, you are just as safe. Especially with the turbines

It is "A Vglide 45 bank". Dont turn 60 bank like here or you will have to dip the nose down too much. Vglide 45 bank.. Only do if over the programmed altitude and into the crosswind if any crosswind. then flaps and cut the mixture if too high. Easy.. I leaned it in 1995.

Depends on where you fly to and from. From North Weald to Tours is 3hrs and then 2 hrs to Saucats Leognan Bordeaux.

The diesel DR400 is such a simple joy to fly… a really excellent plane.
Fuel burn is so low. You can do 7-8 hrs on 160L

I'm over in the US and found a Rallye 150st sitting out at an airport. Looks like it hasn't flown in years. Can you tell me if they have corrosion problems? Are they skinned with 2024 or 6061 aluminum?
These aircraft are susceptible to corrosion. The AD for every service is a corrosion check. It is also the corrosion you can not see inside the wings and wing spar. Get an engineer that knows these aircraft to check it. I know someone who bought one for 17k spent 12k on corrosion and it was in the workshop for 18 months. As a company we specialise in these aircraft in Europe.
