“The Hand I Fan With” by Tina McElroy Ansa
Tina McElroy Ansa, passed from this world to the next two days ago. What’s wild? I was on page 175, rereading this book a second time, when I got the news. I’m reading it again because a couple months back, on July 17th, I met her in person-at her home. So grateful for being one of her beloved “schoolgirls.”
Buy or borrow this book to learn the leading up to Herman appearing and their life together from this excerpt forward-including what he can and can’t do as a ghost brought back.
And until I learn how to easily upload captions, use the closed captions (CC) aka subtitles provided by UA-cam.
P.S.: I’m reading this on Friday, the 13th. This is the 13th chapter. My birthday is on the 13th. That’s my favorite number lol

Thursdays and Every Other Sunday Off by Vertamae Smart-Grosvenor
Переглядів 34Місяць тому
“Thursdays and Every Other Sunday Off is an exploration of the lives of African American domestic workers in cities throughout the United States during the mid-twentieth century. With dry wit and honesty, Vertamae Smart-Grosvenor relates the testimonies of maids, cooks, child care workers, and others as they discuss their relationships with their employers and their experiences on the job. She ...

No...they called them indian wars because we were the Indians, Alabama Georgia, Mississippi, Virginia, Bahamas Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico Cuba was all the west Indies, and we were the west Indians, that's why we are the only people in this country legally documented as Indians back then, and then they changed our names to negro, colored, black, African American... Columbus sailed here in 1492 to come to india/west Indies, the British didn't start the East India company until the 1600s, and Hindustan wasn't changed to india until 1974.. and corn beans and squash is ancient here we called it the3sisters 🤎🤎🤎🍃🪶

DNA tests have been done. Many have strong Angolan ancestry. Black people in this country have a beautiful story to tell. We must tell our own story and to stop trying to co op other peoples. Actually no, Gullah's are Guale Indians and the true "Geechies" are the Georgia tribes that lived along the Ogeechee River Most folks are unaware of the East Coast and Southeast was predominately Negro Indian tribes, when the Europeans invaded, we're the "Copper Colored People" they've encountered and not those who presently identify as Native American Europeans had very little contact with Mongoloid tribes around the first 200 years of invading the Americas and it wasn't until they started pushing further west, was when they began running into them (Plain Indians) but around the Mississippi River to the Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean NEGRO TRIBES!!! Gullah's are Muskogean Indians and not West Africans, numbers of Africans sent to the Americas is overtly inflated and not in the millions "Geechie" is Muskogean and is in reference to the "Yuchi" Indians "Ogeechee" means "River of the Yuchi" Gullah is a mispronunciation of Guale

Unfortunately that's an Afrocentric hijack, Gullah/Guale origin is with the Yamasee Indians the Aboriginal Negro Indians of the Southeast and have been there before Columbus, most are of Mayan & Caribe descent I'm Gullah/Creek Blackfoot Paternal and Cherokee Maternal Apalachee Creek Choctaw Natchez Seminole and Yamacraw etc... are all of Yamasee origin, that Ponce De Leon encountered when Europeans invaded the Americas, out of the 388,000 slaves shipped to North America up to 30,000 are Africans from African soil and the rest are indigenous from the Caribbean and South & Central America The vast majority of what is called "African American" a misnomer and Caribbean's are the Autochthonous Eumelanated Niijii's of Amaruca aka Turtle Island, so our lineage is indigenous and were indoctrinated into believing we're African Those people you see on the Bonampak Murals are you're ancestors and not Kunta Kinte, the fictional character from Roots which was a propaganda piece put out to counter the finding of Luzia that proved Negros were the first Americans, here 10,000 years before the Bering Strait Crossing and also to counter Sertima's book "They Came Before Columbus" that's what started alot of us from listening to our elders whom told us we're Indians cause we fell for the hijack We're the original Pyramid and Mound Builders, that's your actual heritage and the majority of enslaved Africans exported to the Americas wound up in Brazil, that already had hundred of thousands of Negro Indians there already If you look at the tables of the slave journey site, there's more trading the indigenous negros throughout the Americas as opposed to importing Africans and more Negro Indians was shipped to West Africa since Columbus came than enslaved Africans sent here to the Americas

Barbados was a dumping ground for most of the Black Indigenous Indians Jamaicans and Haitians have alot of Yamasee and Natchez lineage but don't know it and lots of Pequot and Narragansets wound up in Bermuda and in the Bahamas, the majority of Black Americans and Caribbean's are of indigenous lineage and are not Africans It doesn't negate Africans being brought here but they're a minority and not the majority as we've been indoctrinated to believe
