Yesterday we posted a photo featuring hockey greats Pavel Bure, Wayne Gretzky, Paul Kariya, Jaromir Jagr, Mario Lemieux, Eric Lindros, and Gordie Howe. Here now is the video to accompany the photo.

NHL 1 liga Motor Ceske Budejovice - Rytiri Kladno
Then the ice broke and they all fell in....fin
All four "boys" became hall of famers later.
I remembered watching this as 10 year old wondering if he could come back and he did.
The modern NHL was built for guys like Kariya and Bure.
Respect jagr
Man, this is the first time I see this video, and as a NHL-noob, this gave me goosebumps because of the legends represented in one single video. Loved it!
Jaromir is an anagram for Mario Jr
Best vidéo ever respect
Its weird but only Jagr won the cup in that group
Wayne: “It’s your turn now.” Mario: “Jaromir and I could totally take the rest of these losers.” (Begins plotting comeback).
You know legend
Legend
Absolute chills watching this, so good!
i'd say add bobby orr to the royalty, but he's a trump supporting goof...screw Orr
Without Yzerman, Stevens, Foppa and Marty Brodeur
Never seen this before........RESPECT 💙🏒
Wow! This is something that gets a man emotional.
Thank you
Wow, Gordie, Wayne and Mario.....what a great line that would be
Ainiin, voisi mennä muualle kentälle jossa ei ole kaukaloita, eilen lli hyvä idea, nätti... Nössöt pelaa ilman kaukaloa , Niin ja jotkut leikkii kaukalolla ei kaukalossa
Thank you goosebump
They should have been brought Scott Stevens #4
And that's...................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................acting!
Missing Orr...
Scott Stevens, Steve Yzerman, Peter Forsberg, Marty Brodeur and Mike Modano too
Three of four guys on the pond did not win the Cup.
7 Amazing NHL Players In One Great Commercial
One of The Coolest Sports Commercials Of All Time in my Opinion
Wild to think that even at that stage Howe could have skated with them and been competitive
Howe could probably play in this era but hed maybe be just a 3rd liner. Could you imagine Lemieux and Gretzky in todays game with no redline and no clutching/grabbing? Theyd put up 200 pts easily every year
Just missing Bobby Orr
You mean Scott Stevens because Eric Lindros and Paul Kariya dosen't want him.
I'm not crying, you're crying!
I remember watching this when it came out, I believe it was before an All Star game on Fox, could be wrong there. So old that the players I grew up watching are older than the Legends(except for Mr Hockey himself) in the video.
Childhood hero’s!!! We used to spend winters on frozen lakes just like them 🫡
Wow this is nice ❤️ Now they are legends too!
Miss these day. This makes me emotional.
Strange and sad feeling to see Jagr and Lemieux in differing stages at that moment. 90s Pens were elite with those 2 at the helm.
Where was #4....!!😠
#4 Stevens, #19 Yzerman and #21 Forsberg are missing
Fuck yaaaaaa
Awesome. Paul Kariya. Representing North Vancouver.
Sickter 🤘🔨
I think the funniest part of this commercial is that not to long after this, the original big boy, Mario, came back to try his luck against these "kids". He of course....dominated!
Most talented player ever to wear skates. I have no idea what else than man was born to do but keep other players awake at night.
I absolutely love this😊🏒❤️
WE WANT BOSSY WE WANT BOSSY Bossy is the NHL's all-time leader in average goals scored per regular season game, holds the NHL's third-highest all-time average points scored per regular season game, and is the second of five players to score 50 goals in 50 games, being the first to accomplish this feat 36 years after Maurice Richard did so. He tied for the record for most 50-goal seasons with Wayne Gretzky and Alexander Ovechkin with nine, though his were consecutive as opposed to Gretzky's and Ovechkin's being non-consecutive; he thus is the sole record-holder for most consecutive 50-goal seasons.
Throw in Maurice Richard & Bobby Orr with the veterans.
And Yzerman is also missing.
the monde stop being pussies and eat pussies and ass. usa needs truck drivers
I love this cheesy commercial with all my heart. Those highlights aren’t exactly necessary though, like any of us don’t know who these people are.
Back to back players shown were Stevens victims
Both Lindros and Kariya
They need to get the new guys to show respect to the guys on the lake now.
Суперстары
There will never be another decade like the 80's and 90 of hockey. I wish i could relive it all over again....today's hockey is just a watered down version of itself.
Especially the playoffs, they were absolutely brutal, the game a lot more personality back then, & players had a lot more character, both seem more robotic these days. I'm not crapping on modern hockey, it is faster & more skilled, but it doesn't seem to have the ambience that made that era so special.
The mid-90s was rough to watch and Lemieux eventually quit because of it. They didn’t let the skill come out - teams just got stacked with talentless, clutch-and-grab goons who would hack these players and take them down. Pathetic. I stopped watching around that time.
@@NoahBodze I blame the Florida Panthers and Devils for creating the neutral zone trap. It may have been effective but it made the game miserably boring to watch.
@@Dueville7777 I do, too. When the panthers bounced the Pens in 94, I think it was, was when you could see Mario essentially quit on hockey. He played longer, of course, but it was then that he started to consider a white flight, as it were, from the unpunished crimes of the game he grew up playing. It was just so goonish, and he didn’t want to put up with it anymore. I don’t blame him.
I love this video. Makes me tear up every time. I was blessed to have met Mario when I was 10 years old. My parents took me to Pittsburgh for the final 2 regular season games at the Mellon Arena. At the end of the week, we were waiting for the bus to take us to the airport and the bellhop said “Mario Lemieux is in the restaurant right through that doorway if you want to get a picture with him.” I’ll never forget him stopping a meeting with GM Ray Shero to meet my family and take a picture with me
Glad to hear that I am not the only one who gets a little emotional (in a good way) to this commercial lol. Also, that is such a cool story and I appreciate you sharing it. My grandmother briefly dated Pat Stapleton (Rest in Peace) around 93-94 and he asked his son Mike to grab a stick for my mom, who was/is a huge Lemieux fan (I am even named after him 😁) Ever the gentleman, he made sure to sign it, and it is very well-worn and covered in marks, which thrills me to know that at least one of Mario Lemieux’s points was likely scored with this stick. Anyways... if you still have that picture with the Magnificent One, I’d really love to see it!
This piece is cornballs
Worst. Acting. Of. All. Time. Should have stuck with the iconic photo and called it good.
Do a modern day version. Old timers could be Gretzky, Iginla, Yzerman. Current players could be: McDavid, Matthews, Bergeron, and Ovechkin
