The final round of the 2024 4wd regionals at the Potteries. I was pushed around the track pretty much for the whole 5 minutes, the orange car just would not go away. I had to really make sure i kept it clean. I made a few mistakes but was really lucky to not need marshalling, and kept my bottle to hold on to 3rd. It was an interesting day. 1 practice and 5 finals with the top from each club going up and the bottom from each club going down. My first round I was in Race two but my camber link came off so I only did 5 laps and was demoted straight away. What a brilliant weekend at Sheffield. We had practice from noon till whenever Marc finished building his car for practice on the Saturday. I got 174 laps in!! The grass dissapeared pretty quickly and turned to dust so the grip was all over the place. After qualifying I was able to make the B Final. Went to the Potteries for some practice ahead of the regional in a few weeks. Lucky enough to make the B final and had a great race with Craig. Really had to make sure I hit every apex, he was quicker but I was wider!!!

I'll be honest, I hoped for a better result. Its my home track and should have had an advantage but it didnt pay off. I started really well, after Q1 i was 66/120 which for me is awesome. Luke didnt count because he was cheating and using his 4wd. He got TQ for the night, but as the A final is 2wd only, Luke got dropped tot he B. I love Oswestry. Well it was an absolute joy to watch these three go round. We are very lucky in the west midlands to have such top drivers. It wasnt really a battle between the three in the end, Tommy Hall just sped off into the distance and was never in any danger, but the battle for second was where it was at. Went to the Potteries to suss it out before the upcoming regionals and glad I did. The track was very bumpy with not much grip so was always tinkering to find the right set up but got there in the end. Made the C final. Got up to 3rd but got taken out by 4th. A gentleman would have waited but hey ho. Ended up 7th.

Great days racing at Bingham, definatly one of the toughest tracks ive been on. Not one flat bit!! Only 4 trucks ran today so a nice little points earner. Amazing driving, you nailed it on every apex. There was no way I was getting past. Well done again, the best race I've had in a long time, I had a smile on my face all night. Well done again, great driving and great video.

I race 1/8 nitro buggy but over here in Ireland we just got our first 1/10 buggy track so will be getting a buggy very soon to race along side the nitro, what buggy have you got here And also rang your bell too 😊

Super consistent, you made it look easy 😅 you did well to weave through that lot at the start, then nudge, nudge coming through past the leader on lap 5. Car looked really planted and I do love the look of that track. I’d say what you run there might well work really well at RHR

The start was very confusing, you can hear the ref shout theres no countdown.
I'm quite surprised at the speed for a 2S -- great video! I have a 3S Typhon and generally run it at 75%, so that's pretty close to what a 2S would output, though these 1/10th scale would be much smaller and lightweight, and would definitely appear faster. I have a few of these re-releases (kits I wanted but never had back in the day), and need to get them built. :)
Ah, you're running a 5400kv motor. I think I'm used to seeing the 2550 kv LE MANS 240S in other videos. So you're getting about 2x the RPMs for the same 2S 7.4v voltage. If my math is correct, your 2S 5400kv is the same as a hypothetical 3S 3600kv, and the 3S Typhon comes with a Spektrum 3200Kv, so you're outputting more power in this 1/10th scale buggy than in the 1/8th scale. Does this make sense? Let me know if my calculations are incorrect.
Now my question is -- can the Kyosho handle this much power, sustained? :) Or is this a one-off for a speed run?
It’s the motor that went in it from the start and is still in it now. It handles the power really well.

Nice, that was a nice move to take the lead, see the gap and nail the throttle 👌 but the car that took you on the big jump 😮 big air time, but couldnt make it stick. May have to look at going to this next year if its on again ?
Doing the big jump at our level was such a massive gamble. I found wimping it was the way forward.

@thc_rc I can remember it well even tho its nearly 29 years since I raced 🏁 last. My very last race was a Northwest regional at Oldham . Finished 4th in A final , can still remember the top 3. 1st Neil Cragg , 2nd Richard (tricky) Taylor and 3rd Stu Wood. I often wonder if I'd be any good now after 1000000000000 pints of Stella at the age of 45.............🤔

I just got one of these (unbuilt) and curious what it is like on a high KV brushless setup. Damn that thing is wild. And the tires… lol
It can handle the high power beautifully, but make sure you glue the tyres!!!!!
