    This lady is anti home schooling for no good reason bar her ignorance. I hated school, In my life I have built my own business successfully, self educated and done well for myself. The state system this person is wed to doesn't work for all. Sat behind a desk, bored rigid, I'm an outdoors person and this lady doesn't understand that at all. Home schooling is great and my granddaughter is round the farm. No nursery she learnt so much more around the farm. This lady genuinely hasn't a clue

    New Labour had a great interest in equity gap see research by Deputy PM office on the topic and socialmobility. Sadly after 2010 election the research site was archived. New Labour invested heavily in provision for disadvantaged eg extended schools, Sure Start Children’s Centres. Plus many initiatives especially The London Challenge

    Wieder einmal ein hochinteressanter Beitrag des charismatischen Bildungsexperten, zu dessen Kernanliegen die vernunft- und empiriebasierte Überprüfung von vermeintlich heilsbringenden Trends im Schulsystem gehört. Überzeugend und zuhörenswert, auch in englischer Sprache.

    Racism by the numbers. According to the US Census Blacks are only 13% of the population. FBI table 43-a shows that Blacks commit 28% of the violent crime. On a per million basis Blacks commit robbery and murder at 6.5 times the rate Whites do, over 4 times the prostitution and weapons violations, over 3 times the embezzlement, stolen property and aggravated assault with other Blacks the predominant victims. Want to end Blackism? Put an end to that. Deduct the cost of Black crime from reparations and see what’s left.

    Communism a social science fr d west, which's perhaps by humanity aptly suitable for a 1.4b China. China has been hugely changing n is becoming, part of it accepting many constructive criticals n actions not published in western media? Aren't there any democracies within her communism, are they?

    • @Andrew-rc3vh
      @Andrew-rc3vh 2 роки тому

      They operate a democracy, but not a party political democracy. The views of the people are continually monitored and the constitution says the CCP go with mainstream opinion. Regarding communism, the thing they practice they call communism with Chinese characteristics, meaning central tenet of communism representing the common people still stands, but Marxist economics is out, and has been for a long time. They like to think of their system as innovative,so they experiment and try new things as would suit the current times. What they are not is ideological. It's more like pragmatism. They were ideological in Mao's time and things went badly wrong because of it.

    The supply and demand of skills between university education and the real market has not matched for a long time, at least 30 years before lock down occurred from covid fears. Graduates very frequently do not work in the field of their study and often use very little of what they were taught in their degree. The degree has been used as a filtering bonus in recruitment, where none graduates have had no opportunity to even apply. I studied Chemistry and have found it mostly worthless since the opportunity to apply what was taught was very limited, did not contribute to more than 6 months of relevant employment and the degree did not open these fast track schemes as alluded to. There was a great deal of pressure to go onto university from teachers, parents and peers. Speaking to so many graduates over a 20 year period and like myself finding how irrelevant our degrees were I would not want and would strongly discourage my own children to study at university unless it was truly necessary, in the cases of apprenticeships like medicine and nursing or where an employer paid for the course. (By discourage I mean I would not pay for their course, tuition costs and they would no longer be welcome in my home.) A levels are also somewhat redundant as I haven't even used much from those, so I also would not recommend my own taking them. Instead, I have crafted my own curriculum that is composed of all the useful skills I have, prioritized the skills in importance and the set of values I have found most useful. A young person trained in my curriculum would be extremely adept at producing capital and investing it, even at a very young age. The values would help them cope with hardship, control emotions and always seek value. I have felt extremely betrayed by the education system beyond the 16+ exams and will never trust it fully again. I will make sure my own know not trust it either. The academics must to be held to account for destroying all the credibility they once had. These academics never had their student's interests at heart, rather they needed them to remain employed.

    How can anything coming out of CHina be trusted? A nation that values official narratives over truth, and dissavows freedom of speech be trusted about ANYTHING they say, print, publish. Especially in the vulnerable Science community which relies on honesty as it's cornerstone? Fauci is funding gain of function in Wuhan; why on earth does he think he'll be informed truthfully on their findings. Why?
