comment if you're still watching this in December 2024 :)
Are there any good live performances of this song
I look back on that Illinois tour with great joy. Throwing those inflatable Superman's around the theater was fun..Incredible music from a really gifted man
O cabelo dela ao vento, sua voz, o fim de tarde, é tudo tao perfeito q me emociono 😢😂❤
Who gave Vic permission to be that stunning?
this is one of my favorite sufjan songs <3 i love him so much
That was cool
What if you could change all the voices in chourus overpedal thing and fuse rhem to make another voice in melody.

Please don't get mad at me, I'm an old fart (60) who doesn't listen to much music that was made after the 80's. Sorry. But when I randomly saw this song title and the artist's name, 2 things came to mind. 1) I thought this would be a parody of "Cum On Feel the Noize" by Quiet Riot (80's) 2) And if #1 was correct, then maybe this guy was related to Ray Stevens, who parodied a few songs and had a lot of novelty songs.
What did you think of it? (I would also recommend the album/studio version, its somewhat different {I and I think many others prefer that version})
If you enjoy, please investigate the rest of the album, “Illinois.” Excellent music!
@@sevsthepokeyfuture and sufjan stevens… you and I are not so different
such a good time <3 I long for these days again
The trumpets are so good here
this reminds me of ma a very special person. that i wish was here so bad. this is what loneliness feels like :(.
when Julian C. saw Danielle H.. and the rest was history...
Wonder where this person recording is now in life
to see this comment from today when every other comment is from years ago. Crazy!
Were Vic and Drost ever an item? Does anybody know?
Ed is gay so unlikely
@@heyya99 ok thanks
This is one of those videos that you just leave on repeat. I can't get tired of watching Victoria.
I dont understand
:0
I remember this Sunday afternoon in Williamsburg so well. It was just as good as this looks, nostalgia + times of perfection included.
I was visiting New York from the UK and remember just stumbling upon this gig randomly. Was such a perfect day
Que sorte a de vocês 😢❤
Omg I thought the hat was a part of his hair
Genuinely one of the best live performances I've heard
When was this? As to where, it looks like they’re in Williamsburg, across from East River Park (RIP).
Wow Beach House has been on repeat for me these days. This is amazing
It's just her
is st. vicent in the backgroung?
Tell me, baby, tell me Are you still on the stoop Watching the windows close? I've not seen you lately On the street by the beach Or places we used to go I've a picture of you On our favorite day By the seaside There's a bird stealing bread That I brought Out from under my nose Tell me, baby, tell me Does his company make Light of a rainy day? How I've missed you lately And the way we would speak And all that we wouldn't say Do his hands in your hair Feel a lot like a thing You believe in Or a bit like a bird Stealing bread out from under your nose? Tell me, baby, tell me Do you carry the words Around like a key or change? I've been thinking lately Of a night on the stoop And all that we wouldn't say If I see you again On the street by the beach In the evening Will you fly like a bird Stealing bread out from under my nose?

Hands down, this is the best, raw, honest, version of this song ever recorded. 9 years later, I still revisit this specific recording. Thanks, Sam!
Danielle with bangs was the only Danielle I loved.
so beautiful
Agreed
she’s so adorable
idk why but i am in tears every time i watch this
I was there. Brooklyn, NY on a beautiful summer evening. Gosh, I miss live music.
ㅋㅋㅋ이거지 이거야
still waiting for album version
Mitch Hedberg on trumpet!
Looking back at this makes Danielle even more adorable 😍.
To have someone be as obsessed with me as I am with this video... I watch it like my life depends upon it
This is everything I didn't know I needed
I was at this show! LOVE how the song went from this to it's final form. I remember thinking "this is kinda like Pink Floyd"
She fückin' owns it . Vicky is the real deal..... An authentic musical hero.
Nice sax solo
lovely
she's a Legend!
okay but I cried?? this video is beautiful like idk why
How?
@@InternalRevenueServices probably because you just see their shadows in the sunset lit background. And because the song is beautiful
Thanks for the upload, you're the best!
why is this not more popular
This song is on permanent rotation on the Kroger grocery store I work at. It plays on the overhead PA system at least once a day. I HATE THIS SONG. The yodel vocals thing is barely on key. Who green-lit this song. Who picked it as a permanent Kroger song?? Maybe it was cheap to buy the rights to. Enjoy your Kroger residuals, wailing guy.
9 years later, this gem has just over 4,000 views. Unbelievable
This mix is bad but this song is beautiful, the transition from part 1 to part 3 is so fucking amazing.
