1987 Ford F150 Restoration | Episode 1: Intro
This was back last year, I haven't been working on it for a while and going to be starting to work on it more and more on my days off and completing the build hopefully by end of year. Thats a big goal of mine. I'm not asking to like or subscribe. I just want to document my build for my kids one day... enjoy! God Bless everyone.

Переглядів 42 тис.4 роки тому
In this video I install the Diablo I three platinum tuner for the jeep grand Cherokee 5.7 HEMI. The video is pretty straightforward if you have any questions or comments leave them down below I’ll be sure to answer them. This is part of my jeep grand Cherokee build series which is right around creating an over landing rig that I can take exploring all the way through Washington and hit some tra...
Tahuya ORV Park | Washington | Bronco FJ JK JKU Xterra 4x4 Wheeling
Переглядів 45 тис.4 роки тому
This is just a collection of fun clips this past Sunday where we were wheeling with a bunch of guys! This was my first time ever wheeling! We took a couple Broncos,, a JK, a FJ, and an Xterra to go wheeling in Tahuya State Forest ORV Park. This was insane, growing up in the city, i've never had an opportunity to experience something like this and was super grateful for everyone that made this h...
Loved the Intro! Where are the other videos?
Nice.
What’s the cleaning foamy-spray you were using in the interior
Building my 1990 rn. Can’t wait to see how it turns out
I recently purchased an 88 Ford f150 service truck, I wanted the 300 straight six, but it has the 302, looking forward to seeing what you'll do to yours, thanks and good luck.
Know this is super late question but did this take off your speed governor?
I have not gone fast enough to test that lol. I dont think I will, youll have to find out yourself
Hey, you have the rare and elusive spare tire
I am a year into my 1991 xlt lariat extended cab body rebuild and engine overhaul. I will tell you man anything OEM 8th gen f150 is a nightmare to come by. Happy hunting. I will be watching how this goes . Good luck .
wow, that fuel line just proves once again that it's a thin line between incompetent shade tree mechanic and criminally irresponsible.
..only half-way thru, and I really hope you keep this project series going - the more little details the better. Nice format so far, we have the.exact.same.truck. but in brown - same leaky windshield rust on the drivers rocker, not quite to your extent; same down to the faded front lockers and sweet old wheels! Looking forward to your progress and ideas, I'm following intently, heh.
Know what lift is on it?
Can I use this to put my Overland in 2WD mode?
!!!DOPE!!!
Ive personally done this same trail in my 89 bronco it had a little more clearance with a 6" skyjacker lift. It may look like a cake walk from the outside but it was super tedious and nerve wracking frim inside. Should have tightened up the steering first for sure.
Loosen all the bumper brackets for the rear bumper. You should be able to straighten it out. I would keep the u-haul trailer hitch, as it spreads the load of a trailer to the frame rails instead of a bumper installed ball hitch. The fuel line must be the hard plastic type! That hack job is a fire waiting to erupt. You can find a good used tailgate at your local pull-a-apart junkyard. LMC and AMD have floor patch panels. Have a local upholstery shop re-skin the headliner with a new cloth sheet.
That's quite a project you have on your hands. Should be fun, but don't break the bank.
My neighbor's Ranger had floorboard damage like that after he borrowed my floor jack and tried to jack the whole side of his truck. Naturally, the jack slipped off the frame and pounded up through the floor of the truck. Total ding dong.
Been working on my 90 f150 4x4 scsb for a yr now the plastic welder I bought has been a life saver
Great video man. I love it.
Keep the videos coming! I'm going to be picking up a family members 1987 F150 later this year. This is holding me over until I can get my hands dirty too.
The rust on your driver's side could be caused by a seam up by your windshield leaking or your windshield leaking it is puddling up inside that trough and rust out
Currently restoring a 93 bronco. Can’t wait to watch this build
I'm 2.5 years into my 1989 4x4 5.0 short box, stoked for you man. Mine was 10x worse than yours re: rust. I wonder if the front driveshaft exploded causing that sheet metal by the shifter boot to crumple? One thing that makes the instrument cluster look 100x better is painting the gauge needles! Orange paint on the needles, trust me ; )
Good Job young man, these Bull and Brick Nose F150's have become THE hot truck build now because they are the last of the affordable classic truck, even the OBS Chevy's are getting out of reach for alot guys but you can still find these 7th, 8th and 9th Gen F150's that run and drive for $2000-$2500 all day long. Have fun with that build bud. 1 thing I would do though is while the interior is all apart I'd change the colors, Krylon makes a REALLY good plastic paint for that and it's reasonable cheap. I personally would go with Grey or Black and then clear coat it afterwards.
Man I will tell you 8th generation interiors are not in any way easy to source parts for or anything bricknose really. Its been a nightmare for me a year into rebuilding my 1991 and I have a 1993 next. 7th and 9th generations as I have seen it are way easier to restore parts availability wise I am not sure why that is . I think that will probably get harder as more people snatch them up.
@@hybridagri maybe, but alot of the guys and girls for that matter aren't doing a 500 point nut and bolt restoration. They aren't looking for a specific year seat or a specific color dash, They are buying what they can find and customizing them to daily drive and have fun on the weekends to fit their needs.
Watching from Belfast, Northern Ireland. I love seeing these old trucks being refreshed. Keep up the videos!!
Those cracks on the rear driver's corner look like Bondo. Great truck! looking forward to vicariously fixing it up with you.
Bro love the video I love this episode can’t wait to see the next one bro I wanna see you restore that brick nose
If you're gonna rebuild the axle i would consider swaping them to a 05 super duty axle set up. Lot stronger axles. In my opinion nice truck.
Thanks Jackson, I've got a 91 xlt that needs tlc as well. I'm interested in the carb conversion on my 4.9 I6 too. Don't know about going the turbo route though, just want a solid driver without so much garbage under the hood. Thanks for video. Steve from pa
I know A guy for your winch mount
Where can I buy
Where is the performance comparo- Vid? We/I would love to see Pre and Post Mod Vids!
How you removed the speed limit? My 2012 jeep doesn’t go more than 110MPH
I dont know dude, I dont drive my jeep at 110 lol
What it’s the life kit and tires of the black bronco???
Sounds like a foreign way of saying SOB
Does this engine on these model have the mds system?
Yes, any 2011 or newer 5.7 HEMI V8 Grand Cherokee does come with the MDS system from the factory.
The black on black bronco just proves that you don't need a lift or big tires to go through that stuff
Where can I buy this at
Could you make it a rear wheel mode ???
I have a 2016 GC limited 5.7, any recommendations for reliable tunes?
the two broncos looks the coolest #classic
Hummer H3 can do that ?
Disculpa y eso para que es es para darle más potencia al motor
Looking at this for my 07 Commander HEMI. Do the supplied tunes turn off MDS or do you have to go into the options for that before flashing them? Would be looking at doing the 93 octane tune and turning off MDS.
You have the option for that in the parameters to turn it on or off
Boring sorry dudes good try though
I just picked up a 2020 with the 5.7l. Do they have anything for it yet?
Did you end up finding anything? I just picked up one as well same year
@@cedricandre78 i ahvent found anything yet
Why is this place a whole state away from me XD
I have one of these for my 2011 ram 5.7 not impressed save your money and get a custom tune.
I miss my 1980 ford bronco that had a 460 in it with a 3 inch lift! That thing was a beast off-roading! Those bronco are bad ass
why do all the jk-ish style jeep videos always play the same lame*ss music?
cause we all have the same subscriptions to the same music services....
