Thank you for this video; appreciate your time input and sharing your experience Would love to see a video on the perfect backlit photo or backlit portraits
Hi! Thank you so much for your kind comment! OK I will keep that in mind! 🙂
good video! i bought my first SLR in '76, a Mnolta 202 (i think). for the next 20 years i struggled with flash. i took notes of my settings, and shot alot. then took the film to be developed. a week later i tried to learn from my notes with not much success. then in the 2000's i bought my first Dslr, and soon a speedlight. man-o-man,, i door opened and the lights came on! the learning curve for flash dropped like a rock! now i am a flash-o-holic. i have a whole bunch of lights, modifiers and doo-dads and can't get enough of learning! thanks!!
Yay that’s so great you love flash now!!! I don’t actually own a speed light but have used it before in courses and stuff, they’re so great! What sort of things do you photograph?
Which course did you applied for ?
Hi, it was for Fine Art BA
I shall try to add a little more emotion into my images from now on. 🙂
oh fantastic! I hope it works for you!
Such a useful video. Thanks!
Thank you so much! What a nice comment 🤗
Wow, I also have pain in my hands, and elbows, along with shoulder blade and neck. Mine was also from computer and mouse clicking, and same thing I switched to my left and then both hands started hurting. I was also given a food pedal clicker the last couple of months at work but then my ankle started hurting too. I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand, but didn’t help much. I started a temp job 1 year after leaving my job, declutterring and now painting a house, but I still mourn my environmental scientist job and the time I put in my college classes. I am currently enrolled in some classes some for fun and some to change careers, they start it august and I am both nervous and excited. Best of luck to you, thank you for posting this video ❤
thank you so much for your comment!! I'm so sorry you had to go through all that, it's so disheartening and difficult and frustrating to constantly deal with injuries like that. I hope you won't face anymore restrictions or new injuries in the future. Good luck for your courses!
@@desireesydow thank you for the good wishes and for commenting back 💕 and I hope one day you’re able to draw again without pain

Thank you so much for saying that! Yes it’s definitely hard to always stay positive, but I am 100% sure it’s possible to make a living from our art if we just keep going!! Good luck to you too!

aw thanks so much!!!!! Let me check out your channel right now!!
Thanks for the tutorial! So useful and well explained!
thank you so much for commenting!!! I'm happy if it's helpful 😃
Okay yes you’re correct, I see it now! Thanks so much Desiree😊 Do you know how to just change the color of an article of clothing, like a shirt?? When I try to do it it says “this feature can only be applied in the “Full selection”. I am trying not to pull my hair out over this LOL
Hi!! Yes you can do that I think, although it's a little clunky (I usually make these kind of edits in the desktop version). Try this: tap on Adjustments, then at the top, you should see a range of options, like full, subject, background, etc. swipe to the right on those options and tap on the plus sign. you can now make your own selection...simply tap and draw on the t-shirt area, a rectangle should come up. once you have a small bit selected (just choose a random small area on the t-shirt), you will see a brush icon at the bottom, once you tap on that you can brush over the areas you want selected. this basically creates a mask, and if you now tap on that particular selection, you can adjust it individually. hope that makes sense!
Okay yesI can see why you prefer doing this on the desktop lol. I just gave it a whirl and yes that worked!! You are amazing 🙌🏾😍 thanks so much for your help Desiree!!
Hi there! Is this the older version of this app? For some reason I’m not seeing these same options…. 🤔
Hi Sheree, it's still there but I think they changed the name of the feature, it's now Color Mix. You have to go to "Adjustments", then you see a row at the top where it says "Light", Color", "Effects", "Details" etc. Swipe until you see "Color Mix", that's where you can adjust individual colours
Do you think it is too hard editing videos with this ? I got some wrist problem for clicking too much
Well I’ve done basic editing with it no problem, but I wouldn’t do more elaborate edits as eventually your feet hurt, and you don’t have the same control. Maybe you can try a tablet?
These are really good! The first and third are my favourites <3
wow thanks so much! I also like number one best 🙂
THATS AMAZONG ❤
Ooh thanks so much!!

Haha no worries I have already erased that in the meantime!
@@desireesydow 😂😂
@@realtfa because I watched the video back and it bothered me as well haha!
It’s not a hack. It’s the way the app was designed.
Well I mean by that that not everyone knows this function :-)
Nice work, tips for beginners?
Hi! So, I think depends a little on what you would like to get good at? For example, if you want to learn how to draw people and faces, it is really helpful to go to life drawing classes, to study anatomy of the human body and to draw people in every day life, like in a coffee shop. If for example you want to draw buildings and architecture, I would look into perspective, and so on. But in general, it always helps to: 1) Break down things you are drawing into simple geometrical shapes first, like
e.g. break a cat up into an oval, a circle, cylinders etc and then define the shape. Also, start looking at tonal values, e.g. where on an object, a person, a building etc do you see light and where do you see shade, and try to render that. If you want some fun drawing exercises to improve your skills, check out the top of my UA-cam profile, on the banner - you can see a link on the right side to download my free 30 drawing projects workbook 🙂
This needs more likes and followers !
Aw thanks so much!!! ❤️
she looks sad and that makes me sad
Oh nooo! I have to draw a happy face next then!
This is so realistic! Just beautiful
That’s so kind thanks for such a lovely comment!
SLAYY!!!
😀😀😀🥰
Nice. For the sake of my pointless undiagnosed OCD (alphabetically CDO, ofc) could you just do me the favour and blot out that Y, and such with the designated colour? I can see it/them poking through a little. Just let me know if you do so, I'll believe you. 😂😎
I dont want to come of as rude but what is that purple
haha no you're right, it isn't quite spot on. I think the colour red I used wasn't quite primary red, also the lighting in my room makes the colours appear a bit different. Anyways thanks for commenting!

Omg should I like go to the museum put it up or some random stuff idk
