Hey man, I have been following your videos for a while now and I really appreciate what you're doing. I have been in the battle with lust for a few years but I only started taking the "freedom fight" seriously around 8-12 months ago. How long did it take for you to experience absolute deliverance from lust? Or did you have instant delivery. Thanks man, just trying to stay hopeful here because this battle is breaking me.

Excellent & concise thoughts 👌🏼 I’m also in Texas and wear all black and I get pushback all the time about it cuz of the heat (which is real af lol). To combat this, I wear oversized, flowy, drapey stuff which looks fun and lets the body breathe nicely. And I basically wear the same thing every day in the summer cuz layering is tough in this heat 🥵

Well, thank goodness for you. You will never stand in front of God. This analogy that Christians are pushing is absolutely ridiculous. God is not going to meet with you, the expectation of being a Christian is that you live to a higher moral standard based on the teachings from the Bible. Stop trying to make it like you’re gonna have to go interview to get into heaven or something. It is a moral code, it is not an exact science. Your morality may have a slightly different outcome than somebody else’s. Acting like you’re going to interview with your maker is a bunch of bullshit and even Christians should acknowledge that.

I go with a gray shirt, gray shoes and black pants, every day. What I realized is that in the eyes of other people you actually stand out more. People start perceiving you as the main character, as that's what main characters in video games and some movies look like.

AMEN!!!!!! In University, the church people attacked me for not dressing up, I just wore a suit---the same suit. Several decades later, I have not changed much. I bought 3 pairs of dress pants (black) and went to the discount store and bought 5 dress shirts (9.99 each). Five years after that I decided to upgrade and buy dress shirts from the department store (29.99 each)--3 pairs of black dress pants and 7 dress shirts rotating between 3 colours (going up to 29.99 for a dress shirt-that really hurt, and I make over 6 figures)!!! I bought the same 19.99 sneakers for 20 years. Last year, I asked my students what the up-to-date sneaker is - VANS. I saw a pair for 69.99 - they last an entire year. The thing is: I have 6 uni degrees with and have NO debt, ---I have NO DEBT of any kind. People around me spend so much money on the look----I am set for every day. Love it.

I struggled with porn for 10+ years. I used it as a crutch and a tool to numb the deep scars, trauma, and pain from my past heartbreak and loss of a parent at a young age. The dopamine overload, lust, and temptation destroyed my ability to build intimacy and drove me toward seeking pleasures of the flesh with other women despite the fact I had a girl who loved and supported me unconditionally. These are causes, but not reasons. I take ownership of the fact that I did so because it was easy, available, and I could. It was like choosing soda over water or video games over studying, I indulged in the easier wrong over the harder right. I literally destroyed a healthy intimate relationship for the junk food of lust and I'll have to live with that. After breaking up as a result of my lying, cheating, and failures as a partner, I attempted to numb again with porn and alcohol, but on April 7th after waking up hungover more empty than ever I somehow managed to make my way to church. The sermon talked about how in Acts, the Eunuch (who didn't plan on being baptized) submitted himself and got baptized on the spot. The pastor talked about being at the right place and the right time, and they offered Baptisms to the crowd. I got over my fears and social anxiety and just submitted to the Lord. At that moment under the water, I felt as though years of pain and suffering had been lifted from my shoulders. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and handed over my burdens to him for his yoke is easy, and his burden is light. That day I realized the thing I truly needed was the love and intimacy that can only come through a spiritual journey with the Lord. For the past 3 years, I tried doing all the "methods" of meditation, cold showers, working out, and journaling - which have been good...but fundamentally my identity was still rooted in being a porn addict and I would come running back the moment I felt alone and the stress got too unbearable. I just accepted I would always be an addict and could only do so much to change my behavior because I never actually addressed the underlying causes. As you said back in episode 1 with Ephesians 6, the belt of Truth - the capital T Truth of God - helps one stand on firm ground and resist temptations in their path. Thank you for what you are doing, trying to watch as many episodes as I can daily to deepen my understanding, faith, and walk with the Lord. Keep it up! The content is great ✝

Unfortunately I have to confess I gave in few days after my last comment about feeling small hints of thoughts lurking back 30+ days in. It was true for me as well, since it was also due to idleness time and the break I took from exercising. But the past month during the 30+ days, I briefly experienced the healthy frame of mind, and I think I let my guard down too far like you said and also other triggers from interpersonal frictions. Pls pray I will be able to put out the fire from growing and have a humble heart to repent and not depend on myself. For this new journey again I started this journey in the past as I felt it was linked to social anxiety, and also difficulty when communicating with woman in the past due to shame. My question is, in your own experiences, or from people you met, Is there a link between a mind overdriven with lust and the lack of ability to socialise with the opposite gender (putting beauty on a pedestal, etc)? 2nd is, what does it look like after day 90, how will the healthy mindset/outlook look like?

Clarity hits hard. Anyway I'm still on the path currently, The app says I'm on day 35 on 7th Feb. Going past 30 days is new for me this year, though I do feel the slight increase in sensitivity to the feelings especially one of the days when I was alone at home.
