I 100% want this
That's a perfect boat for southern California. All our rivers and lakes are real shallow.
When u need to get to the fishing hole in a hurry... I love it..

I might be able to come across the motor for cheap but how much am I looking at money wise everything included except a motor. I want to build mine with a trolling motor fish finder and gps with night lights. I also want a deck with storage and a plywood floor. My dad is going to help me a lot and he’s really handy and owns a machine shop and 7 different welders so he could make me a lot but I just need to know how much $ I’m looking at spending.
Now this is what I'm talking about keep the controls on the handle bar, non of this joy stick set up.
*_I enjoy spending time on their website [Check Details Here==>_**_t.co/Gd41Ly3cO8_**_ ] . Aside from the wide range of boats to choose from, there is so much back up information on the actual construction as well as the ancillaries required to complete that how to make a boat entirely. Great site._*
what kind of speed are you getting?
OWNED a Yamaha Waveraider 701cc and it was fast miss that engine sound
I really loved your clip. Great post.
Hmm that's a cool creation bud looks like it goes pretty quick with no problems
Just to have a little more room... And it will be a semi V so cavitation is less.
Why are you going to do an 18 footer next? Are you going to keep it a flat bottom for the next one, or are you going to do a semi V?
cool vid. man. hey look at my vid.
email me at jherring101@yahoo.com and I will send you some photos...
do you still have pictures of how you mounted the pump, is it basically externally mounted?
nope its just a flat bottom... really don't need a tunnel.
Mississippi police boat.
Question: Do the HP coast guard limits on each individual Jon/rowboat apply when you convert your boat from a OB motor to a jet motor?
How did you mount pump? I'm building a jet boat with twin 700 Yamaha's.....you could email me picd or advice on how to do that part. Thanks Kevin
thats kool shyt dude...Nice going
Everyone rise for the UFC national anthem......
sorry I meant hole shot... the amount of time it takes you to plain out the boat. if it takes a long time you will need a lot of water to get up to speed. the slower you go the deeper you run.
What do you mean by hull shot... I thought a bigger jet would be better. Thanks and keep me posted on your new boat. I am looking for an 18' now, gonna have to upgrade the ski I have.
mine is a 14ft. extra wide... I would think it depends on how much decking and overall weight u will add to the boat. also depends how thick ur boat is... I would think it would push it but it may not plain out as fast as you want it to.... if you could go bigger I would... 18 is a pretty big boat. I will be building a new one soon and I plan on putting a 1200 yamaha on an 18ft. your Hull shot is really important!!!
John Herring hi John herring do you install one for me I'm willing to pay for it please let me know sir
how man feet is the boat, would a kawasaki 650 be under powered on an 18 ft. flat bottom...?
Like the boat! I just finished building a jet Jon with a rotax 787, like you said the best boat I have ever owned also. I live in buda and launch at little webberville at least once a week for hunting or fishing. Just curious how often you make it to the Colorado and where you run at. I always like exploring new waters.
no we didn't we rarely go that shallow only if we have to... have ran it for about 2 years and had it clogged up once... just took it apart and cleared the line....
Did you put any kind of inline filter to catch the gravel from going up cooling feed line?
700cc yamaha
it actually handles very well... it will slide!!!!!
how does it turn on a scale 1-10? Will that flat bottom whip around without taking on water?
what size ski motor was it?
it is riveted... wish it were welded!!! but i only jump small sand bars... lol
is that a welded aluminum or riveted
@ chileo1 It really depends on how the jet piece comes apart... Im sure it can be done just may require a little more fabrication!!!
Do you think this could be done with a seadoo 4-tec 215HP supercharged intercooled engine? I have a spare one id like to use.
I was trout fishing 10 yrs ago from my 12 ft jon when I was passed by a guy that had installed an early stick drive setup from a jet ski into his 12 ft alum jon. That thing flew!
im thinking about making one of these how hard was it
Wanna race mine
yo thats badass bro..haha
@acknob If you go to photobucket and type in jherring101 it will help you alot...
@thaleslourenco1 lol True
@barredondo001 If you go to photobucket and type in jherring101 it will help you alot.... and it's great in the flats!
@oakland002 My buddy has one and it is awesome!!!
For Pics of the build go to photobucket and type in jherring101...
@sargentsun.... It really isn't that bad... I've had to take it apart one time on the river because of a rock, but other then that its been really good!!! And we push her pretty hard. And our river is very shallow, so if i know i'm about to go over something really skinny, I'll let off the gas and coast over it if I can... Best of luck on your build, if u have any questions send me a message, I'll help if I can!!!
@jherring101 How does it do with the small gravel as far as it getting into the intake? Got a very shallow river here with alot of sand and gravel in places, which i'm sure yours is probably the same.
If u think that was good, look at the kayak one
LOL Badass..
sweet boat, how about slow manuability?
