Lead Time, Takt Time, Throughput Time - A Lean Tutorial
I really like your videos, but it is so said, that you are not having any videos in German. It would help me a lot to train our production workers :-)
This is so bad. Even 5 year olds would laugh at it.
Gimme a break. Is this thing made for kindergarten?
90 secs?? What McDonald's you eating at?
Man hört, dass du Deutscher bist. warum machst du dann nicht das Video auf deutsch?👀
first discussion of lean layout and one-piece flow that ever highlighted its flexibility potential for different amounts of operators. real lightbulb moment for me. thank you!!!!
but what if we are abroad? so you dont have this gamification training for online?
That is a new term Tackt rime
Very well explained, thank you!
Very nicely explained
wunderbar!!!1
i would like to know how to calculate and give allowance for each step when we make cycle time study
What if the same production line is used for multiple different products with different cycle times (müesli for example), and demand consists of a mix of these different müesli products? How would you then calculate takt time?
Is value added time equal to lead time
Love this game and I will be teaching this to my colleagues. Thank you so much!
Hi, does the game support the Italian language?
Free palastine
Relevance?
There is a process analysis sw that easily solves difficult answers in tact time analysis. TIMSIM
Thank you very much
Very nicely explained! Thank you!
So we can say Takt time means the maximum amount of time each station of the assembly line has to complete its assigned task? Or the minimum amount of time or the mean amount of time or the median amount of time?
Nice presentation. But I have a small doubt. While assembling the refill with a spring at faster rate, will the spring hold to refill if it's not handled properly. Particularly while assembling in bulk. Sorry if my doubt is not sensible.
Hi. In the spirit of kaizen and Toyota Kata, my recommendation is for you (or your team) to make a prediction, a hypothesis, then test it, and finally reflect (compare expectation vs actual results). It is a good practice for kaizen mentality.
So, the lean layout is to improve the relationships between the man and the steps, to optimize / maximize the production capability.
Thank you for the explanation, helpfull!
Can we please take example of johnnie and walker for the next video?
Interesting distinction. From my understanding in the industry Tact time = work content (manual movements & assembly) + Cycle time (if additional process with set time to perform action ex vibration welder might have a cycle time of 19 sec).
Very interesting simulation, thx for share! Question, where can I buy one set of it? 😀 Thx again.

Apakah ada buku terkait Yamazumi Chart 5 tahun terakhir
Super easy to understand
This video / explanation could be 1 min long.. it is soooooo slow..
super useful!! about to take my final and nail it.
This is excellent! Thank you for creating and sharing this video - this perfectly explains one perspective of DOWNTIME or waste in an office setting which may help people understand how waste can affect the rest of the process. It also helps capture a variety of ways waste occurs, even when it appears to a simple procedure. This clearly shows how it is true, waste can happen at any step in a process. Very well done and explained. Thank you!
Many thanks for your words. Much appreciated!
I liked it. A Simple way to explain it. Maybe you can add the "cycle time" explanation, more related to flow-based agile projects, as an extension of the vídeo. That way you will get a lot of PMP students as viewers.
What is the difference between lead time and Cycle time?
Thank you
thanks for the specific explanation
Really clear and easy to understand. Thank you mister.
Cleary explained. Understood takt time only now.
While calculating takt time , Total time of 8 hrs we have to take or reduction of breaks??
The 8 hours in the video are available working time, in other words this is effective production time. All breaks and planned stoppages have been removed already.
