Yeah rain races are usually shaking things up which is fun to watch. In the Clio it should produce great races too, best car in the rain so far. It's a challenge but not too difficult.

Yes I have been on real tracks before, sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't, for example if you would never take that one high curb with the real car because it maybe would be expensive, but you have to really attack it in sim to be fast 😅

The system is supposed to balance each other out,because it is almost impossible to immediately clarify the blame, even with live stewards it would be difficult, as in real life. There will probably always be discussions about it, ha. The problem seems to be that there is no better system (yet) and of course it is very annoying to get 4x for nothing. I don't know if and how it could be changed, it will probably remain that you have to get annoyed about the x every now and then 🤷‍♂. Surely we would be open for a better way, if there even is one 🤔

SR in Iracing is very unfortunate especially for dirt license one solution imo is to first split the license in trucks and cars to safeguard rallycross from trucks and create a new formula for SR based on who hit first gets the X and the following hit within that chain gets a fraction of the X. That way SR switch from an average of previous incidents to something based on meritocracy where first hit is more penalized

Is gonna take forever to get back on a 0.8 …what’s your favorite way to gain SR?

@@andycaretz6341 Yes it will take quite a while to get the SR up again. Maybe I'll throw in a TT here and there, but mostly just race the way I did before, this should lead to the same SR again. Many would say it doesn't matter if you have 3.xx or 4.xx and it doesn't, but I just like to be in the A4.xx range 😊

Wish we would have had more race laps. So we need to find some speed for the next series 😁

@@midfieldracing219 Was watching Justin's channel and Nick said they were restarting in 3rd gear, clearly I made an error starting in 2nd. Agree cant wait for the Minis it should be a more level playing field since the car will be new to all

It needs its own style, which felt a bit weird at the beginning. Still a nice race with it, maybe I'll use it more often.🤔

Yeah tried to be soft on it and still killed the tyres. Needs some more races to really get into it I guess

Don't know if you are using a clutch or not, but maybe your revs have been too high when trying to get into gear. The Clio won't take the first gear then, could be that. Did you try to shift without giving it any revs? Thanks for watching!

I think I came to the left a tiny bit too, the #1 to the right and in the middle the #3 had the perfect start from 2nd row. Racing incident imo too. I'm sure everybody has calmed down now 🤷‍♂🙂

Yeah I talked about it at the replays in the same way, no one to blame but bad luck imo. One of those moments that can happen in a situation like this 🤷‍♂. Of course the #1 car got it worst there.

Yeah I get it, every track needs some weird part to shake things up. I think perfection would be kind of boring. Hm, well...anyway....I like this track , ha.

The 87’s at bumpy Daytona does require a bit more skill than the newer plated cars imp. Unrestricted, tire saving comes into play a bit depending on how long the run is and you're not just mashing the gas like in the new cars. Incredibly difficult combo surprisingly, although luck definitely still does play a factor for sure.

I agree with that, newer models just isn’t fun to watch

Not my favorite kind of racing, but it depends a lot who you are racing with. I never know if the race will be pretty cool or just a waste of time 😄.

@@thehotlapclash7089 There are always the same names on top, so yes they must be doing something right. In the 87's it's about skill (and some luck), don't know about plate racing tbh.

Yes in some corners I didn't get the feel for it ,the car felt quite sluggish. Or maybe it was me 😁

It's amazing how many bad beats I'm getting dealt🙄. Bubble wrap or spikes or something like that....

First we had no luck and then bad luck came along. Will try again next time 🤘

I usually just stay awake without problems, but of course this time I couldn't for some reason 🥱. The time I actually practiced for Q and would have been around P10 with my usual laptimes in practice. 🤪
