I’m glad the mixing sounds decent since I still don’t have producer-quality headphones lol! I have two $20 headphones, one that’s a bit tinny and one that’s got enhanced bass. I spent a lot of time switching back and forth tweaking things with both of them until everything sounded balanced enough. I probably should invest into getting a good pair soon tho, it would save a lot of time. Glad you enjoyed chasing down Mr. Snuggles! 👍

Im using it for my game which has a sewers section, and in those sewers you find a sewer rat which wants to brutally murder you. After encountering him, a chase sequence starts. So basically im using this music for a chase sequence! @@sardomgames

How do you change the velocity is it a paid plug in?
I'm assuming you mean the sidechain? There's an automation editor built into Garageband that I spent like half an hour on getting the sidechain just right. There's probably a better way of doing that, but it's what I know. I also sometimes edit the velocity on specific notes, but I didn't do that much here. I haven't (yet) paid for any plugins or soundfonts... I may do that in the future because I've been having some trouble getting the OG Garageband drums to sound alright LOL, I work with what I have!
OHH wait I think I know what you mean now… if you turn up/down the “cutoff” knob while recording a track, Garageband saves the knob being turned. Afterwards you can place your notes.

I know a little bit of music theory, but honestly IDK… I think I just have an ear to hear what sounds good and what doesn’t, and I’ve played around with different music softwares for a long time. What I mean to say is that I’m entirely self-taught, if that answers your question. 👍

Glad you like it! I make music by themes. I first think of a situation (particularly concerning a game concept) and then think of how music could enhance the experience! For this song, I thought something along the lines of “Flood Escape-style facility destruction (caused by player).” When I think of these scenes, themes simply come to mind, and I try my best to recreate them in GarageBand (it takes a while to find the right sound fonts). IDK if this helps in any way, it’s just my process of doing things. Thanks for comparing this song to ultrakill, though. It’s really motivating! 👍
