How to convert old phone into a cheap IP/security camera
Переглядів 814 роки тому
This is a very cheap trick of converting an old or cheap phone into a remote IP camera (like a CCTV of sorts). NB: If you don't have a separate router, one of the devices can be set up as a wifi hot spot, i.e either the old phone that is being used as the camera as the hot spot then connect the surveillance device as a station or vice versa.Eitherway the old phone remains to be server, you just n...

Thats a Dangerous way of connecting your Subwoofer you can easily start a fire.. looping is a no no.. avoid shortcuts when it comes to Audio Visual installations.. cheers
True there are dangers associated with poor connections which might cause short circuits and overloads...but in this case looping power is perfectly fine if done correctly and with good termination. I would incorporate an in-line fuse where necessary. Thanks for your kind observation.
@@TheAbsolutelyAnyTechGuy When I watched this video, I was looking if someone made this comment. And someone already did. I think that is not a safe connection for power in your under seat subwoofer. It might overload the line and can cause fire. I hope you changed it already.
Do you know what make/model your head unit screen is?
The head unit is an Android head unit, if you'd like to replace your screen you might want to remove the existing one and check the part number as they might appear similar to other units but the ribbon cable might be in a different position
I have the same unit The yellow wires are connected to the amp ctrl and amp cont?
Hello, one end goes to remote power or enable terminal that is located between the 12v and ground power terminals and the other loops back positive 12v terminal. You can cut this loop and add a switch in between to be able to disable the woofer or use acc power line straight to the remote power port instead of 12v positive for autonomous power/enable when vehicle is on or off
Not helpful ,y skip then vuallar the wiring is done
use crossover so pure bass output
I like the video. Kindly please explain how you connected the remote cable coz mine aint responding
The remote enable is looped to positive 12v source, just pick that from the +ve battery line or acc or loop in the +12 port using a toggle switch. As for the remote control, it should be straight forward plug and play, unless it's broken
Not helpful at all
That’s not the correct way to wire up that subwoofer my man. You’re not supposed to be “grounding” those yellow wires
The yellow wires are not grounded, they are connected to the remote switch port. Connecting them at the ends simulates a switch to enable or disable the woofer. Thanks for watching please share and subscribe
Terrible video you don’t show were the other wires go you just mention remote but where does the other end go ? As I have a controller that plugs into the back of the unit stating remote Not a very good video
The remote controller connection is quite straight forward, it's plug and play. My explanation is based on the "remote power" or in other words "remote enable" whereby the yellow cables are provided for looping 12v power back to the enable terminal. With that you have the option to switch the sub on or off without disconnecting main input power to it. I hope this explains it better
great explanation
Glad you liked it
Learnt something new today, awesome vid buddy
