Making Big Room Techno (Like Space Laces)
Nasty 🔥🔥🔥
I got asked to do a dnb remix by a friend, and I do nothing but house music lmao. This video is a fucking god send for basic dnb sound design. Lots of ideas to work off here. Thanks dude.
Dude you are awesome
This help me so much. I’m not using a step sequencer anymore and putting my samples into the daw so I can visually see my chain
Dope vid thanks
very well done
Really sick bro !
DUDE! SICK! 😁🙏👊
This is incredible 🤯❤️🔥
Funny in all my years producing i didn’t think of the tail end and to freeze and flatten 👌
Great tutorial, would like you to explain the "side-chain utility" a little deeper. What is a side-chain uitlity?
🤘😈🤘
how do you go about mixing this bro? I'm guessing the basses got their own individual channels?
Great video bro! Do you put a saturator, eq, ott and glue compressor on everything manually or is it a preset that you made? It sounds sick!
And that’s pimp
i couldnt make this in a week
Noice! Would have liked to hear it in a full track, though.
Thanks for the tutorial bro.
Do you have a Discord server?
not quite tearout but still fire
Hey, why don't you release this as an album ? That will be so much better
👍
you should do a vid just on detailed intros! class vid bro learnt a few things, looking forward on whats to come in the future
This is sick dude!!!
This is insane !! Great work
This is mad !!! X)))
We need a full tutorial 😮
As if dubstep wasn't slow enough already
Some homework for you 50 Carrot - Silent Imitations 50 Carrot - Original Haze ROKLEM - Distorted Minds Mjora x Glowa - Everblack Roadsbeaf - The Monster Roadsbeaf - Time Goli & Ashburner - Field Of Vibrations (Benton Remix) Shudder - Psychosis
Make a public playlist then
dope tune dude! can i grab it from another platform, not spotify
Funny way to complex bassline ! Usually i do the rythm with a init patch then split les notes between differents presets
I'll have to give that a go!!
Promo_SM 😎
really cool seeing this come together, great video
Thanks a bunch!!
yo dawgy dawg, what key is the pluck in or is it pitched down
Bro, das klingt no joke fire
indeed
Hallo Kamerad
good
Super
You down with OTT? Yeah you know me!
Nice
some eye-opening stuff, great vid keep it up
Much appreciated
Youre overcomplicating the reese and especially the sub
How do you do yours?
@@andrwwaughi use sytrus, so for ableton use operator or some other fm synth. 2 saws detune manually (no unison) with a little bit of noise and then distortion. if you're worried about the sub. get a multiband compressor and boost the lows slightly BEFORE the distortion. the slight pitch modulation from the 2 saws is enough you just have to appreciate it. if you want a more nasty reese play with your shapes a little bit and add in some phaser and unision and a amp plugin (im a huge fan of The anvil, vst, its free) i can make a quick preset of it in serum since everyone uses it and i can post it if you want.
@@entity6966 that would be great!
@@entity6966 Unison is a personal choice, not a complication. I just tend to use an oscillator with 2 voices in mono, detuned to taste, but sometimes I really want a thicker, meatier, wider sound without extensive Hyper or other stereo fx. The issue with the sub is because of all the phasing going on, not because of the distortion or its volume. Especially applying FURTHER stereo processing *on* the sub could make it phase like hell in stereo (ie wub in and out, just listen to the original reese) or just make it completely disappear in mono. That rhythmic phasing may be what you're looking for, but typically in drum n bass I find consistent subs hit harder and are easier to work with.
Addendum: I do use 2 Serum oscillators instead of unison if I want them to act on each other, I find a bit of FM on one from another can be really nice on neuro basses.
heat 100
yessir
“right”?
"you know?"
right
Great tutorial ! thanks for sharing :) Sometimes you look like Deadmau5 ahah !
lol I just noticed that!
Just upgraded to Live 12, game-changing bruh! Loved that video, gonna' apply some advices asap
Yessir I love it!
Dopppe🔥🔥
dopper
Hell Yea🔥🎈🔥
i want that Serum skin
You should already have it, just click on the serum logo in the top left and go to skins, then select the parathion one!!
So eloquent. But seriously some good tidbits just feel like your vids could be a lil more focused and or planned/scripted
OTT on subs is just completely destroying your waveforms. OTT on anything under 100hz is terrible. This isn’t good advice.
I can second this for sure. the first reason is the way the bands are split actually causes phase problems which actually screws with the transients and the waveform. the 2nd is that it OTT engages upwards and downward compression which again could mess with impact of the transients but also crush the dynamics too hard.
Thanks For The Tip!! I Definitely tend to use OTT a but much.
@@cryocrew Its no problem on other sounds :D just knowing how its affecting the sound is key.
heavy dnb=neurofunk(?)
Nerofunk has more complex drum patterns and variations than heavy dnb i think, also the basses in neurofunk are more simplistic
