Great cars. I had a few Renault 1916v, them and the Clio 16v had the same seats, best seats I’ve sat in so far. The vent was to let the hot air out when parked as they learnt from the 1916v that the build up of hot air when parked for short periods cause hot starting issues due to the confined bay, hence why the vent on 1916v’s was a later add on when they came the UK market, so lessons were learnt from then.

How does it compare to a GTti it looks allot like Renault copied the GTti design

You can see where the design inspiration came for the last Megane RS seats. Those square seat bolsters seem to be somewhat a Renault trademark. I love these Clio's though.

The grey leather is from one of the 1990 limited edition cars (1200 made) as this car being a 1.6 would have had cloth being a 1.6 from new. Car Looks in great condition and a 1.9 shared the same block as a 1.6 so drops straight in .

Ive been looking for a full system for my 1.0 tsi fabia and piper are about the only company that offer one other than milltek. The price seems on point with a great saving over paying milltek tax. This review has been spot on detailing everything from build quality, customer service and most importantly the sound. (Like you the days of knocking about with a peco big bore 4 on a nova sr is behind me 😂) If you get a promo code that would be spot on👍 Also be interesting to see a follow up vid when its mapped. Hi car coming on nicely, I'm also restoring a p1 ,car no1008 ,had same issue as you with rear door cards .I noticed your front bumper support bracket ,as I'm after one ,mine been cut for front mount intercooler mod ,now going back to standard, I think your bracket poss also been cut ,regards rally ray read (RRR)

Piper are awesome! I had a full system off them for my Nova 1.4 SR whay back in around 2001! Sadly, the Nova got trashed in an accident and my brother fitted the system to his Nova GSI… it sounded brutal on that 1600 and flames would pop out occasionally! 😃 I had another Piper system fitted to my XR2 after that and again.. it sounded lovely! The ‘older guy’ that fitted it took it out for a test and when I went to collect it.. he said “That sounds much better now” 😃👍 If I ever want another aftermarket exhaust, Piper is where I’d go.
