@@ChrisMidmark I watched on UA-cam😀 I'm not a driver, just got interested in motorsports after watching a movie "Gran Turismo". Then I wanted to know about GT academy and found the videos. Recently, I started to play "Assetto Corza Competizione" and found that it is really difficult😂 but fascinating👍

@@SM-mc6xo Ah, I see. Yes the 2008 GT Academy was the first ever, big competition to make a driver from sim. ACC is the best sim for GT3 racing. Other than that iRacing is the best if you got a PC and a good sim-rig. Good luck with the simracing. :) The tracks in simracing is extremely well done. Its amazing.

Without boring or stroking, they likely just use upgraded internal components combined with an ECU loaded with a custom tune for racing.

the engine is the 1KR-FE and it makes 81 hp stock

There's up to 10HP to free in the exhaust system. The synergy's still with the original manifold, the bigger pipe frees 6hp. The stock intake box is also slightly restricted - 2-4hp depending on the temp drop. Nowadays, these synergys run with ITB. I believe they run about 95HP today.

I hope you know.. that this car doesn't produce as much downforce that it comes into effect how fast you take the turn... this is not an F1 or LMP here.. this car is still on the "normal side" of physics :) .. but non the less slowing down up eau rouge... well you can do it but only in a very gentle manner... doing it wrong/abrubtly and so on... will bite you.. but that has to do with vehicle dynamics... (weight transfer and so on) ... not because of aerodynamics...(in a car like this)

Hi, its the passenger speaking :) I am not sure if you did, but if you watch the video until the end, you can see how happy I actually am... And you would've heard us talk about the previous lap we did, where he actually says that this time we were going faster. So yes, the first time he did take it slow with me. I have known the driver for a very long time (we have been friends for years and years), know all about his extensive racing career and I trust him completely. I would never have gotten in to his car (twice!) if I didn't feel safe. And of course I was scared, but I think it should be compared with going on a rollercoaster or jumping out of an airplane with a parachute... Oh, and we did talk about what was going to happen during the ride. We actually agreed on a sign (me waving my hand up and down) that means I want him to slow down. I have used it a couple of times and whenever I tell him to slow down, he actually does (you can even hear in the video that he takes his foot of the pedal when I ask him to)

Hey Nicster, Thanks for the reply. Great that you trust your driver; most certainly that you've known him for years. Obviously that changes a lot. But you seemed very stressed... which made me -as a demonstration driver- feel very uncomfortable. Have a great day and enjoy your next ride!

​@@nicster8558 This was a long time ago, but I just love how you settled in and started to enjoy it. For most people it takes a few laps to realize "wow, I can actually survive this", then the fun really begins.
