A rich seafaring culture, a history stretching from Ohlone Native Tribes to the 1849er Gold Rush days, and a glamorous, bohemian city in what is now present-day San Francisco, the City, which was founded on June 29, 1776, when Spanish settlers established the Presidio of San Francisco at Golden Gate and the Mission San Francisco de Asís, both named for Francis of Assisi

San Francisco has been my home since 1996 from the chilly westside near Lake Merced, The Sunset, Presidio, and Richmond District where Karl The Fog is prevalent at the Pacific Ocean, to the sunny Bayside neighborhoods of Mission Bay, SOMA, Potrero Hill, Noe Valley, Portola Garden District, The Mission, Excelsior, Little Hollywood, Candlestick Point, and the Bayview on the eastern side of the City by the Bay
