finally uploading a video that my bestie made for blue lock - literally our newest obsession. xD
something about this anime just hits all the right notes. it's like the haikyuu, infusing the viewer with an adrenaline rush, but utterly devoid of "the power of friendship" trope. these are characters who will collaborate and build alliances, but at the end of the day, their main goal is to be the solitary winner. thus, as soon as the situation calls for it, they'll cut off their fellow comrade like a dead end. it's so incredibly refreshing, and while every successive episode gets more and more painful... the thrill is non-stop.

The answer is, while Rei is on the phone talking about Todoroki's injury and Todoroki calls out to his mother, Rei is shocked and spills the tea in Todoroki's left eye. Todoroki also loses 50% vision in his left eye.
How do you know that???
But she doesn’t spill it on accident. She snapped because the moment she saw Shoto’s fire side, she saw Endeavor and threw the tea on purpose. She only realized afterwards that she was wrong and tried to heal him with her ice quirk and only caused Shoto more pain. That’s how he got his scar.
