Finally, another video from my fav battery girl
More to come soon! ⚡️😊
I believe it is a good idea to leave the battery industry if you have any other expertise. I will brush up on my old Internal combustion engine expertise and make the change soon :)
Thanks for watching! Glad to hear you’re paying attention to market trends and considering your interests/strengths/skills. ICE and EV are both here to stay in the US, so sounds like you have options 👍
Thank you for such great advice❤❤❤
Thanks again for this great video. As a battery scientist candidate, you help a lot by making these great videos. ❤❤❤. Good luck on your works.
Hi Jill fantastic video! Tbh with you I find it really tricky to develop relationships on LinkedIn. Everyone is really busy! For example I don't know a lot of battery professionals personally and I don't feel like a lot of them would want to talk to me. What's the specific strategy I could use to engage with other professionals?
Thank you and good question! In “Battery Industry Onboarding” I share LinkedIn tips for connecting with professionals more in depth. Have you subscribed? I’m not sure how you’re going about it or the purpose for you reaching out, so it’s tough to give 1:1 advice. I’ll just say- don’t say “no” to yourself by not reaching out in the first place, and don’t take it personally if someone doesn’t respond because they may just have other priorities. Try messaging again after a couple weeks or so if you failed to get a response the first time 😊
Thanks for your reply. I've subscribed to your newsletter. Basically reaching out as I'm interested in breaking into the battery industry as an electrochemist, I've got a PhD myself but I haven't seen many jobs posted online recently. I figure I need to network with people on LinkedIn to find other opportunities, so I want to see if there are any positions I can find outside of online job postings by networking.
Hey ma'am
Good evening ma'am I am from India I need help in deciding the research topic in concentration cell in electrochemistry.🙏
Can u make video how to became best instrumention engineering
I'm curious about your thought on the discovery of a large lithium resource discovered in Arkansas recently. Now that we have a deregulating pro pollution President, do you suppose that will create a whole new negotiating point? Especially, since the world runs on the U.S. Dollar and China's most effective boost to its economy is the currency exchange deficit?
I don't know if I agree with your point, tarriffs on battery imports will not make american manufactured batteries more cost friendly, they will be more competitive in the US market, because the tarriffs will make more expensive the imported batteries, but batteries manufactured in the US will be as costly as they are now, and any product that needs batteries will automatically be more expensive. Also batteries manufactured in the US will continue to be less competitive in outside markets, as they don't need to improve manufacturing to make it competitive inside the US, which is what happens always with protectionist measures, the industry thrives inside but then goes outside and it is not competitive. And when they open again to the free market that industry gets bankrupt.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! You have good points
How would west survive without pCAMs, CAMs, graphite imports from China? I believe it would be a disaster for many companies if China ban exports related to battery technology. Only China will win the tariff war.
Yeah… it will be rough if more restrictions
And this is bad? Battery's for what?
Batteries for EVs, stationary storage mostly, but also for other applications. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% bad, but it will present more challenges to reach climate goals which could be bad.
Cool start mfg here. We don't need their batteries.
It’s not that simple. Wish it was! Cuz mfg equipment to make cells is from China too.
Well make that too.@@AcrosstheNanoverse
I love your creativity and passion. For separator, you could use an edible rice paper wrap 😉
Omg yes. Sushi battery coming up next
Just discovered your channel, looking forward to viewing the other content. One thing I haven’t figured out is how to map dc resistance data to the two resistance values given by the semicircle on the nyquist plot. When I think of dc, I think low frequency but the low frequency behavior in EIS plots is dominated by the Warburg impedance, IIUC. And the high frequency end of the plot is used to extract resistance values. This seems counterintuitive. What am I missing?
Good question! The Nyquist plot is for an AC impedance measurement, not DC. For DC you’d get a resistance value for impedance (look up DCIR testing).
Now I’m sad😢I’m waiting patiently for QS to make money. 😂
Hello, I am doing LSV for a composite sample. I see an unusual peak in my LSV. Only sometimes reproducible.
How would this stack up against Voltaiq?
ENHANCED MY KNOWLEDGE , 🙏 INDIA
Wow beauty and brain..
I feel that I lost 35% of my brain cells🤨🤨🤨
Very informative, love from India
Thanks from the US! 🤝
Bella,Bella 😘
I like the way you explain it clearly. You helped me a lot on understanding the EIS concepts
Thank you so much for your explanation . That was really brilliant
i love this dress/apron
You should have taken a man in with you
Thanks a lot
Hello, I appreciate your videos! I am making anode half cells (coin cell form factor), and have been noticing much better intercalation at 40 celsius than 25 celsius. Basically the plateaus are more pronounced (on the voltage profile vs capacity) and at 25 celsius the CV step is as long or sometimes longer than the CC step (in terms of time) so an uncomfortable amount of capacity is attributed to the CV step. I have been having trouble finding literature related to this scenario. Any suggestions? I suspect it has something to do with electrolyte side interactions.

Thank you woman
I am doing as an automation engineer in lithium ion batteries manufacturing plant. If I have a clear understanding of battery science I can upgrade my position in process team and R&D.
Why can't I focus 😫
And no one seems concerned about EMP ability to destroy our electronics???Why buy electronic cars and appliances that can be so easily destroyed? Faraday technology can protect us but nobody even considers it!!😢
EMP events are not an everyday occurrence
But Chinese threats are a regular occurrence and still all heads turn the other way. Elon doesn't care. He'll just fly to Mars.
thankyou
For me personally, very little, it just won't be useful for my field. If I did understand though I would probably seek employment in your field of work instead. No offense though, I hope others disagree with me, I just wanted to be honest.
It’s only 3 that will get the nod
The question is which ones
0:54 I remember that moment saying that " is all the same, all connected 😊"
Magic 🪄
What are the things to look for when implementing Eis online ?
Thank you mam, You perfectly concise the bigger topic into a nutshell. I would like more videos about cv gcd eis of two electrode and three electrode systems.❤❤❤
I have two concerns. 1)Can you explain me as of why in the y-axis, why there is a negative sign in the impedance (which is the imaginary part of the total impedance ) is plotted. 2) What if we switch the real impedance to y axis and imaginary impedance to x-axis?
Hey Jill, great video. Why is the anodic voltage numerically higher than the cathodic voltage in the first CV diagram of Li/Li+ potential? Is there a specific reason for it?
Yes, this is state of the art explanation!
I have much appreciated your video! This is valuable accomplishment which helps me, and encouragement for further thinking and undertakings. Keep your narrations going! God bless you!
how is SOC (state of charge/capacity?) is determined by BMS of LFP battery.
Thank you so much for explaining the foundational math. You are a life saver!
Great Idea.....
I did PhD and my research area is Hybrid Supercapacitors and redox-active electrolytes. I am searching for an opportunity. Please help me to find a job in the industry.
