I love fighting games and the mentality that surrounds learning them. As a content creator, I want to help new players get into fighting games while also dropping parallels on getting good at life.

Using REAL LIFE To Help YOU Understand Fighting Games
Переглядів 1,4 тис.2 роки тому
Something about a video game that’s suppose to simulate real combat felt like an opportunity to highlight the difference between real combat and traditional 2d video games. How trades and risk vs reward in small interactions define fighting games. It's easy to get lost in the sauce of all the buttons and crazy combos you see but it all follows some basic rules. Fighting game developers have eve...
Guilty Gear Strive | Basic Game Sense
Переглядів 6 тис.2 роки тому
Situation recognition and game sense is probably one of the most important things in fighting games. It’s something that normally comes with time grinding the game. However, I wanted to take a shot at helping you skip some of it. This video is going to focus in on 3 different scenarios that will help you win more and more importantly learn faster. Essentially this is a things you should always ...
THE Chipp Zanuff Adaptability Guide
Переглядів 37 тис.2 роки тому
It's finally time! I've been putting this off for awhile because I wanted to make sure I did this right and gave our boi justice. Due to Chipp's low health and speed it's really easy to build up a autopilot play style to get by. This mainly because opponents can easily get overwhelmed by Chipp's sheer speed and mix-up potential and at the same time it feels like trying something new mid match c...
Guilty Gear Strive | OTG Tutorial
Переглядів 2,7 тис.3 роки тому
OTGs aka on the ground attacks are a simple but effective way to boost your offensive options. As you climb higher in the tower you may find that your okizeme or mixups on hard knockdown are being blocked and blown up by DP's more often. Mixing your opponent harder is not always the answer. OTGs are great for changing the pace of the match and will make it harder for your opponent to hit their ...

Guilty Gear Strive | How To NEVER Stop Improving
Переглядів 12 тис.3 роки тому
Guilty Gear -STRIVE- has been out for a while. Over time it may seem like you are making growth as a player is becoming slower and plateauing off. You may find yourself winning often but having a clear wall between you and the players right above you. This video will explain why you may feel that way and how to ultimately overcome that to start improving again. Link to Kengan Affiliated’s origi...

how on earth is this considered a tutorial. u didnt explain anything. this is just a combo guide for a specific patch...not at all what u advertised and even then how on earth is ur notation useful i have to look at all your combo and figureout what u binded x to and all the other buttons. ur just an asshole at this point. u cant even see what patch its so grainy u didnt even write it anywhere like wtf. anyone calling me a jerk at this point is just part of the problem.
12:34 As a zato main with over 1k hours, i have to correct you... There are a few moments when holding all 4 attack buttons is absolutely the way to go. Simply because it frees up a response based on how the opponenent responds or acts. But this is easily possible with a good fat thump technique once you get the placement down.
@@kevintrent7485 I agree 100% this is just to get people started so they eventually make it to your level. When they get there they will start holding more buttons to address more specific problems/situations.
@StrawHatCentral He is so much fun once you get the concepts of holding buttons and negative edge internalized. I've never enjoyed a fighting character more. Great video, though! I keep these things going in the background. Zato can be played so many different ways that even the most basic of tutorials can have major influence on gameplay
Bro this was phenomenal. Thanks for all the info bro
notably the specials have to actually cover different options if you pick 2 unsafe mids then the only mixup is which attack the opponent has to pick in order to punish you, and they'll generally be able to pick the right one on reaction also you can replace the normal chain with a hard knockdown when playing a vortex character; the main point is to make them a captive audience for your rock paper scissors
I love this content bro This is really easy to understand and practical
This guide is a work of art.
Yeah I’m good on this guy
My friend started playing zato and this is my counter play information video. Most effective counter play is with bedman. You can disrespect a lot of combos if youre fast enough with side switches and ruin eddie set ups. Bedmans combos also deal a chunk of damage and almost everything converts into a combo so it’s very punishing when a zato player misplays which is inevitable
Didn't even know fast roman cancels were in the game! I wish asuka had a guide so detailed
Amigo usted es un Rey muchas gracias
walking backwards is required for FD braking, not just a tool for a little extra distance. FD itself does very little to your momentum, it just allows you to get around the skidding animation and go straight into walking backwards -- the walking backwards is what stops your momentum
ik im 2y late but i just wanted to tell you that this was extremly helpful guide!ive been playing the game for almost a month and every time i blocked something i tried to hit S and get my combo going, not knowing that i should be hitting P and K.Now i wont be getting oneshoted as Chipp as much
respectfully disagree with Sanji, i think Giovanna suits him a bit better as a lady who kicks who's not paid enough for this shit
(unsolicited advice from an amateur zato enjoyer) longest charged dust combo that i've found; S -> D -> S -> Airdash BACKWARDS -> wait a tiny bit -> HS -> D -> D(finisher) if anyone knows a longer or higher damaging charged dust combo i'd like to hear it
Dat intro tho
Hey, I just started playing GG Strive a few days ago, and lo and behold im maining Chipp. This is a GOD tier video thanks for the help and tips
the description of happy chaos being difficult to play is blown out of the water by asuka lmao
I would love to see an unsummon pressure guide, love your work
amazing guide here. I just started playing the game a month ago and I'm still trying to find a main and I love funny gun man but his kit is so complex. thanks for helping me understand it.
I started playing 2 days ago and try to main chipp this realy helps me thanks man
10
holy shit silver bullet thats based
except for me it isn't a month in, it's like a couple weeks in and now basically everything i do gets countered by a single move which they spam all game, the game is balanced HORRENDOUSLY
What move?
skill issue
Invaluable resource, thanks a lot, man!
Love this a lot, fav strive vid by a mile Can you break down the post drives a little more? There’s tutorials and breakdowns to go practice and work on for the other topics but post drive is uniquely hard imo, bc I get hit trying to poke a whole lot
incredible content thank you
this helped a lot, thank you!!
Yo I can’t do the first corner comobo
Does this apply to I-No's air dash?
2:45 I had never seen someone use a wall run in that way
where is wall run?
im new to fighting games and got this one bc chipp is so neat i love him :) anyway im sure my friends are bored of beating me up by now so hopefully i can apply even an ounce of knowledge i gain here
Strawhat the legend
Please make more videos like this, this is one of the best guides on anything fighting game related that I've ever seen
AYYOOOOO JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU ALL YO!!!!!❤ this is the GREATEST NEWS OF ALL TIME! literally EVERYBODY NEEDS to know this! please read closely with an open mind, and most importantly, an open and soft heart :333 to anyone who is reading this, if you are unsure of who you are or if you are going to heaven read this: without JESUS , we are all doomed to eternity in hell! but with HIM and because of HIS sacrifice for us when HE died on the cross and rose again, we can have eternal life in heaven!!! GOD created all things, that includes you, and loves you dearly. you are a creation of GOD , and you can be a child of GOD too yo :3 Romans 10:9 tells us that if we openly confess that JESUS CHRIST is LORD and if we believe in our hearts that GOD raised JESUS CHRIST from the dead, then we will be saved! we will be welcomed into our true home. pray this prayer with me, “thank YOU JESUS for YOUR love. LORD JESUS, i confess that YOU and YOU alone are GOD, and that YOU are LORD OVER ALL THINGS. i realize now that i have made mistakes, i have sinned, but now i have also learned of YOUR good news. YOU took all of my sins and all of my shortcomings and died on the cross for me so that my sin would be put to death also. but YOU did not stay dead. GOD rose YOU from the dead, and i believe this with all that i am. i believe this with all of my heart. LORD JESUS, i repent of my sins, and i thank YOU for YOUR forgiveness for me. i thank YOU for all of YOUR love for me and for everyone that i love. please teach me how to love and trust YOU with all my heart, mind, body, soul, spirit, and strength. please teach me to follow YOUR ways and glorify YOU and YOU alone, LORD JESUS. i pray this in JESUS CHRIST’S HOLY NAME, amen.” you are saved now! go and tell people about it! read The Bible and learn more about JESUS, find a good church that challenges you, and most of all: praise JESUS CHRIST! (if you don’t know where to start in The Bible, try John! i personally really like Matthew as well, or just start at Genesis, the beginning!) JESUS loves you yo <3 May the grace and peace that comes from GOD THE FATHER and JESUS CHRIST our LORD and SAVIOR be upon you.
whats the name of the song at the start?
the one after drift
its blue water blue sky if anyone was wondering
The thumbnail lmao
I loved the tutorial!
Why not just use thr triggers for p, k, s, and hs so u can negative edge them
All things aside but Deus Ex Machina right before before death is the ultimate technique even if you get hit and it cancels
"I WANT TO BECOME, 'GLOCKAGE' ONE DAY! THAT'S MY CHAOS WAY, BELIEVE IT!"
goated guide, was worried its outdated but nah
Please make more content bro
I got you!
Although you used SF6, this is by far one of the best explanations of how to play fighting games, I have ever seen or heard.
Yea i had to get over RCing after holding multiple buttons while i have meter
Guilty Gear Strive is the first fighting game I've ever gotten into, and so many tutorials would just confuse the hell out of me since they only showed how to do things rather than why or when to do things, and failed to show how to successfully apply these strats to games in an in-game situation. This sort of tutorial is what all Coaches should strive to create.
Heh. STRIVE to create.
strive actually does a great job on combo tutorials. If you cant understand it, you might just be a bit slow mate.
I don't think you understood fully what I said. While the tutorials or good, they still don't explain why the combo works or when you would utilize them in a match@@Lumaz001
Strive has shockingly good tutorials, which DO tell you when to do certain stuff. There's even some missions that tell you "Deal X damage in one combo" or things like that, for which you need to apply what you have learned on the rest of the tutorials. It's miles ahead of most fighting game's half-assed tutorials, which tend to just make you drill combos which are useless half of the time.
@@Lumaz001 bro can't read lmao
