Any suggestions for doing an out and back on the Silver Comet/Chief Ladiaga trails? My wife and I are 62, 70. We only ride rail trails. Don't like riding with cars. We like to do 35 - 50 mi. per day. We ride around 10 - 13 mph. We love stopping at trail side brewpubs. We don't camp! Obvious stopping points would be Rockmart, Cedertown, Piedmont, and Jacksonville. Any positive (or negative) info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Why no helmet, especially with an ebike?
Some research has shown drivers are more aggressive towards people wearing helmets. Plus, if someone hits me going 30+ mph I don't think a helmet will help me much.
@@LoveToday8 I’m sorry but your answer leaves me shocked. You can easily sustain a head injury riding your bike 5 mph, if you’re not wearing a helmet. All it takes is hitting a bump and landing on your head. Head injuries are very common in cycling accidents. As for research vs reality, that’s a poor excuse not to wear a helmet. There is always a risk of getting hit on your bike. The chances of survival are far greater if you are wearing a helmet. Ebikes are much faster than analog bikes which means the risk involving head trauma, due to an accident, is inevitable if you’re not wearing a helmet. This is why there are helmets made especially for ebike safety. But, on a personal level, for me, I wear a helmet so I can live to ride another day.
