Fascinating. Thank you
Was the invention of changeable-gauge railway-car ever used? patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/f4/6d/c5/c3914bc52f404c/US94874.pdf
Jack as usual your a fount of knowledge! Thank you!
Sweet.
5:00 that was interesting .. fits right in with my study of Lawren Harris and the Group of Seven. Thomas was the artists father and passed on in 1894 from a liver infection. Alanson Harris was the artists grandfather and also passed on in 1894. He was no starving artist when he met up with Tom Thomson and the others. The group went into the Algoma District to paint. Did they reach Salter township where the Massey mine was being opened c1900 when Lawren was 15 years old ? Did the Massey mine name fit into the story of Massey Harris ? These machines were always important to farmers but the technology in general was important to the war efforts of the 20th century which made mining very important to them all....
Im gonna post this on btfd page Thanks
Hi Nathan
Looking forward to enjoying more, smiles, PW
LOVE THE BEGINNING part, haha!
Too bad you didn't have any inside pics with it. Just love the history of the building and some of it's stories.
What an outstanding piece of architecture!!! So they moved the bodies from this Greenwood Cemetery to the one we see today? Hummm ... neat little fact.
Do you know where the 3 locks were on the canal? Just wondering if you knew. Also love the pic at 02:11.
I’m thinking one must have been at Locks Road.
My Uncle Joe Judge was a dowser during this time and he told my dad when he was young about this story. I totally forgot about this event until you guys retold it, thanx fro bringing it back to life.
I like the map at counter 04:46. Never seen this before.
My dad and I have always wondered why the island that held Ott's Tannery disappeared?
Where is the picture that we see at Counter 00:13 in the video? Can't figure it out.
Did they ever find the arsonist who set it on fire? When I was a kid being driven to play Church Hockey with my father, Owen Power, we drove by the Kerby and he always talked about the historical significance. He told me that one day he'd take me in but unfortunately it burnt down before we got the chance. Do you guys have any pics of what it was like inside? PLEASE keep up the great work!
Hate the distracting music!
This is my favourite video in the series.
Another fascinating look at the history of Brantford and Brant County. Love these videos!

How about just get outside and do the walk yourself. Lot healthier than sitting on couch and letting someone else do it for you.
One has to have the seed planted then soon afterwards the journey will begin! While driving around the city with family/friends, I tend to tell them about the history of Btfd that I've obtained through watching these gems here in front of the same URL that your viewing.
This is a fantastic video! Great work BHS team.
