      @@yotatech5032 Thanks for the reply. Thankfully it’ll be under warranty (bought extended). I just wonder if I’ll have to have it replaced again down the road. They gave me a Titan Pro 4X to drive while it’s getting fixed. I kinda like that more. And if I’m going to have to do this again, I might just dump it now.

      This also reminds me of when I used to see the old-timer stainless steel pink Valley View ice cream truck that had these sniper hunting rifle bullet holes in them. One of the ice cream trucks wheel axles was still spinning. There was an old-timer willow tree that had algae growing on its branches that was rightnexttotheice cream truck. Even the Center Street Calvary Episcopal Church used to have a willow tree. It had to have one support rod to keep one of its branches from touching the ground. This was in the Winkle Avenue neighborhoods that had a truck junkyard that had the stainless steel pink ice cream truck. 🧊 😍 💕 💗 💖 😄 🧊

    Is this the same procedure for a 2011?? I took my 2011 Rogue to the dealership. For binding noises, when turning full lock, @ very slow speeds. So the tech says its got a bad ( REAR COUPLER) which is an absurd amount of money 💰 🤑 to replace at the dealership. I dont have a lift so i was wondering if a guy can do this job at his house? Do you need a tourch, or any special tools? You kinda made it seem super easy, But this ride is a 23, so there might be a GINORMOUS difference. Lmk.

    • @yotatech5032
      @yotatech5032 2 місяці тому

      No if you replace the coupler and don’t reprogram it with the consult you’ll get warning lights as soon as the vehicle starts moving. They need to save the data before and after replacement of the part so unfortunately you’ll need the dealer for this repair :/

    i used to work at a newly opened Honda dealership and they had oil king buckets like this and a cdk software for doing multipoints and closing out RO tickets the equipment was like the latest stuff i recently left because i didn't like the work environment place felt too toxic i applied at a different honda dealership with the expectations of it being the exact same just a different layout in design of the facility but i was surprised to find out it was really different i don't know how their oil buckets work the big ol oil king bucket was easy to use can drain the oil and oil filter at the same time because its big enough to catch it all and can do a ton of oil changes before getting full and i could place the oil filters on there as well as my oil filter wrench and ratchet and towels and brake wash this honda dealership i'm going to be working at has small oil buckets so it's not going to be as convenience and to get the oil they use a jar that needs to be filled up while at the new honda i worked at it had a hose with an oil gun which makes it a lot more easier and convenient then to go fill up a jar for oil and their system software for closing out tickets it's weird seems complicated i don't know i prefer the system we used at the Honda i worked at it was so much easier and so quick to close tickets out and all so this is going to be a new learning process for me at this honda dealership but this place is really lay back and i have a good feeling i'll learn A LOT ! i just wish they had the stuff the other honda dealership had it would make this honda a 10/10

    Hey man totally random question. I own two v6 hondas 11 accord and 07 ridgeline I have no idea if they have ever had a valve adjustment they run perfectly and I take really good care of them. Are there symptoms for needed a valve adjustment? I have come across many honda owners with very high mileage on their engines most well over 230k miles and most of these owners have never had a valve adjustment and they have been perfectly fine so I guess I'm just trying to understand how some owners make it so far without one and if I need one ?

    Glad to see you used the torque wrench for the drain bolt. I do my own oil changes even when the car is brand new but I’ve changed some oil for people in my neighborhood and the drain bolt was over tightened and they over tightened the plastic oil filter housing and I had to chisel it off. I always use the torque wrench for any bolt I tighten under the hood but I even wrote the torque spec on the oil pan for the next person. Now my question i see you didn’t prefill the oil filter but let’s say the capacity is 4.6 quarts of oil do you compensate for the amount that is going into the filter? I always double check and even after prefilling the filter I put the required amount and check the dipstick and it’s still .5 quarts low so I know to add some to the required hash mark.
