This video was copied from someone else's content, but edited some. In the video that was originally uploaded, you see that he is presented with the gun case, opens it up, and looks at the gun. The host of the podcast tells him where it came from and what it is (basically a long On-Air Commercial for his buddy's gun store). Afterwards he tells the guy he doesn't actually get the gun, he has to go to the buddy's store (and again plugs the name and location of his friends business On-Air). What that does is use this person who has built up their own brand, giving your platform the opportunity to grow because his followers want to watch the interview. He agreed to come into your podcast, and do an interview with you, giving you content and potentially causing your channel and earnings. Seems like a fair trade, I guess. What wasn't agreed upon was the back door way that he was used to plug your pal's gun store multiple times during the interview. Then having the part of the interview that was basically a commercial cropped into a short 60 second or less clip (so it can be automatically and randomly placed in the UA-cam Shorts playlists algorithm of countless viewers who would never see it any other way because they don't watch your podcast. That's what makes it a commercial, it's a 60 second clip promoting a business by name and location, that randomly pops up between the videos that you actually selected to watch. The problem I have with it is the person who is plugging the Gun Store and the Sig Sauer brand didn't get paid for the endorsement, because he didn't know that was what it was going to end up being. 💥As a side note, fast forward to present day, and someone mentioned if he felt hesitant to actually carry the Sig dude gave him, for fear of it being used and somehow that leading trouble for him. To which he responded that he had never received a weapon. He and the store owner were supposed to get together to pick the firearm, and file the prerequisite paperwork, etc., but every time he attempted to get with the store owner to make it happen, there was always some unforeseen occurrence that came up causing the store owner to have to reschedule. After several attempts, and several excuses, he finally decided if he ever wants one or feels like he actually NEEDS a firearm, he will do some research make an informed choice as to what would be a good fit for him, and then find a well known, established, and reputable Firearms Distributor on his own. So basically they used him as a spokesperson, without telling him or compensating him for it, using false pretenses. And ultimately showed anyone paying attention that the Gun Store is not trustworthy, uses dishonest, and shady business practices, and can't even produce the products it has promised.
