Styling Tip✨What to do when you don't like a color in your color palette 🎨Don’t judge the color until you try it on!
I had a client who loved her palette except for the yellows.
👉So, I did a little trick: I gently placed my yellow vest on her shoulders, and she fell in love with it!
Then I showed her my new Digital Palette Swatch, and it was exactly the yellow from her palette!
At first glance, a color might trigger some negative emotions, but it may look damn good on you. If you don’t try it on, you’re going to miss out. So give all colors a try.
My Digital Palette Swatch will be your little helper for headache-free color matching ✅

What colors best suit you? How to find your perfect palette?
She has a cool undertone, but a fair olive skin -> that can confuse some people. Her MUA shared the products she uses for Lily: her foundation is an ivory in a neutral shade, the eyeshadows are often mauves (perfect for people with an olive skin). BTW: orange does'nt suit her at all. She looks greenish-grey in it. She could be one of those Soft Winters.
The irony that the "expert" skin tone looks more yellow than the asian lady. Anyway I don't see a problem with her natural skin tone. I dated an asian girl for two years, her skin tone would vary a lot depending on the time of year, I found it beautiful no matter when. It made me realize she could make any color (of cloth) work too.
That deep blue and Burgundy is stunning on her. Rock those darks gurl!
all look great lol it’s about how you utilize these colors
I guess, seems highly subjective though.
These videos really don't do it justice, most videos are not color accurate enough, not to mention they don't have traditional color management going through social media. It's subjective but it's based upon the fact that we see colors not for what they are but as a result of their surroundings. That's why everything is on a white or gray or black background in art because people want no cast from surrounding colors to influence viewing. Now with people that usually want the colors to look harmonious with their coloring or make them appear brighter. That's what color theory comes in but it does have pretty limiting categories, very few people have decided to expand it, good luck if you're olive or dark summer
Autumn orange and winter bright blue looks nice.. haha confused again
Yes
Not only does the 16-season exist, I've seen different versions of it!
It goes up to 24
@@ReneeDeane I haven't seen a 24-season one yet! Now off to Google... lol
The insanity of this comment ... 1. It is called color THEORY 2. These colors literally exist in nature, this is just a different way to categorize then. There are more ways than we can count to organize and categorize colors.
I think I saw a Korean one where the fourth season is the season that seems to contradict the main trait of the mother season. Say a soft winter. And I‘ve seen one that has one season for every variation of muted to brightness (so you have two poles and the middle as a position where a person could be on that spectrum). And the same for all color dimensions like chroma, i and temperature.
Are the True palettes in the 16 season system the same as the “true” ones in a 12 season system? By this I mean if you’ve ever seen the Color Analysis Studio videos, when they go to find your sub-season, if all the subs in a season (say Winter) look good and non of their sister seasons (Cool Summer, Deep Autumn, Bright Spring) look good, then instead of having a sister season paired with your main sub-season, you are a true Winter and get to use all three winter sun-seasons equally and avoid any palettes from a sister season.
yes and no, I have seen totally different colors for all 4.
There's more than one 16-season system.
Workshop
Well, most agree, that cool winter = true winter, warm spring= true spring etc.
Most 12 Season systems call them by the same names, but in 16 seasons you can see they're very distinct palettes. Warm Spring is a bit warmer and richer than True Spring, Cool Summer is clearer and more saturated than True Summer, Warm Autumn is a bit clearer than True Autumn, Cool Winter is a bit cooler and softer/toned than True Winter. And in some 16 season systems being a "True" season means you can wear any of your sub-seasons equally well, rather than having a sister season that flows into another season.
@@Nerdy-By-Nature ok, so what is then the main characteristic of the true spring? For example Bright spring would be clear and contrasted (not apparently warm), light spring - light and clear, (not apparently warm), and warm spring - warm and clear (not apparently light). ?
@@sestricaanutkain the 16 season theory in which a "true" season can wear all subs equally, all characteristics of the season are dominant - that is the point of the true seasons in this system. So they would be equally light, warm, and clear/bright.
@@sestricaanutka Neutral, clear, bright, light, & only slightly warm.
@@ReneeDeane neutral and warm are mutually exclusive...
Hi Julia. Love your videos.
This is extremely helpful if you have "vertical" in the Kibbe system (or other body styling systems). It's much easier to prevent a break in your vertical line when youre staying in season, and you don't have to be stuck in monochromatic.
Yes, based on that I’d be going for deep winter, and having seen many drapings online I don’t even think they’re representative of the drapes and I know I’m not deep too.
No, it makes her yellow. It’s so obvious that she’s cool, deep and medium/bright. The dark grey was perfect.
While I think she's probably a "neutral" season, and dark silver wasn't awful, her lips and cheeks have much healthier pigment in the dark gold, and the darkness around her eyes lightens/brightens. In the dark silver her forehead looks much yellower than the rest of her face and her jawline loses definition because it's blending into the drape. In the dark gold she has definition in her jawline and her skin tones are finding their harmony. Warm season people *will* have a healthy golden or sunkissed look in their best colors, but it's not a sickly/jaundiced yellow.
Is it actually possible to buy somewhere such a rainbow piece of cloth for a given color season (like the one you’re holding in the video)? Thank you
A Winter with depth, I am assusming is a dark winter?
Good tips :)
Brunette definitely suits her
Question: Are you an autumn or a winter kind of person when it comes to your pallette? Love the videos by the way!
Nice, what is your season?
I like the green, I am a spring)
I'll have to adjust all of those 😅
For work, you can add hair accessories, jewelry in your season, and other accessories in your season. Wear drop earings and a v or lower neck shirt with a necklace (mid-length to lariat).
I love this 💜 what color system are you using?
What is the palette that you said the undertone is more neutral?
Did you compare light spring?
I always thought she would be a bright winter 🤔
I personally loooove cool and warm tones together tbh, Khaki and pink is a great combination for instance ❤
But every palette has their own version of khaki and pink, so staying within your season doesn't exclude combining those types of colors 😊
That is what was so nice about when the International Image Institute came out with a flag for fully neutral undertoned Bright people between BW and BS. Because BW may not perfectly align on its own, BS may not, but especially you can't pull colors together from both, so you end up lost when you know you're season. I think more places for analyzing need to branch off more and do this, and stop making things for the most part strictly cool or warm, bc the neutral world is just forgotten about lol.
Are there clothing stores that sell based on seasons?
That would actually be so cool 😮
Kettlewell! They're an online UK based clothing store.
@@Nerdy-By-Nature thank you!!! ❤. You are the first person to ACTUALLY answer this question 😂
@@LeaOverAtVatic no worries! I looked for so long, myself 🤣 There is also a woman who has a color analysis service, and operates an online second hand store - categorized by the 12 seasons. I have to see if I can find her again.
@@Nerdy-By-Nature oh wow!
Are there clothing stores that sell based on seasons?
Just curious about your personal pallette. Are you a deep neutral (autumn or winter)? You seem to wear both autumn and winter colours I've noticed.
Winter deep
yes I'm a deep winter
Neautral?
Yes she is a muted summer. check this video 👇🏻 ua-cam.com/users/shortsUnCeEXbM12A
I agree! Unless it is stated it is a celebration of life specifically, I would wear black if the person and their family are apart of the culture where that is the norm. I couldn't imagine wearing color to a funeral just because you're an autumn, when it is a funeral. Some things you must do out of respect. :)
Cool ❄️
Oczywiście, że nie wszędzie i wszystkim musimy się podobać, są sytuacje, kiedy nie ma to żadnego znaczenia.
Cool
I really like the 16 season approach. Which specific system do you use? Some 16 season systems are designed in such a way that the "True" seasons can wear any color from their home season. Others are four distinct groups in each home season.
Interesting enough, darker hair always makes lighter eyes pop. I have true green eyes and always have noticed that change in me as well 😊
Cool 😎
Warm but neutral leaning because she doesn’t look horrible in either.
Cool😘
I thought "seasons" were done and color analysis had moved on to something else?
Beautiful
i think ur a neutral 😭 everything looks pretty good
