    You ever thought about playing semi pro basketball to get in competitive basketball shape and sharpen your skills as well as well as gain film , and try to go to overseas exposure camps and or other minor leagues like NBL Canada and TBL ? Theres other Avenues you can try to play professional basketball.

      I’ve been offered to attend numerous tryouts to play for semi-pro leagues and pro leagues, but I’m tired of going down the same road. I impress every scout, am the best player there only to be told they’re already full. I’m waiting until an offer is saying “I WANT YOU ON THE TEAM”.

    I did a G league tryout back in 2009 and 2012 it was obviously called the D league back then. It was great and fun experience I don’t regret doing but as time has passed and I’ve gain knowledge on those tryouts It was a waste of time and money. The only true way to make the NBA is having D1 or maybe D2 college experience and having a agent that represent you.

    • @judahbryantbasketballjourney
      @judahbryantbasketballjourney 4 роки тому

      Agreed, but it all depends on networking, regardless of your basketball experience, some people get scouted off the streets, Rec leagues, and posting content on social media. But yeah, it is a waste of time of money because they already have their roster and since they’ve done this so many times by corralling hundreds of hoopers every year for a tryout, make them spend hard earned money, knowing none of them are going to get selected. SAVAGES lol

      A lot of ppl that weren’t exposed to high level basketball, don’t realize that the world is competitive af and some even think that talent isn’t a factor (it really is, especially if you don’t waste it). The truth is that if making it to the NBA isn’t possible for most people, no matter how har you try. You can always become a good basketball player if you work hard, but the NBA literally has like 500 spots for the whole world, and there’s super talented people coming in and out each year. Then you look at the a Euroleague, extremely talented aswell, about 200 spots in that league, obviously the NBA is better, but if you weren’t the best player on your high school team and a really good player in college, you likely won’t make roster. The world is competitive and nothing is given

      @judahbryantbasketballjourney 4 роки тому

      LL Cool D if this is your dream, then go for it. Don’t let people give you a Plan B for your Plan A. Yeah it’s cool to go to college and have decent job, but it’s always best to pursue in what you’re most passionate about. If you want to make it to the NBA, then work your ass off to get there. It’s very possible, talent is never overlooked. Everybody has a slim chance to make it to the NBA, but there’s still a chance. So why not take it?! That’s what life is all about.

    • @judahbryantbasketballjourney
      @judahbryantbasketballjourney 4 роки тому

      LL Cool D those who keep grinding and working hard to achieve those goals, will eventually achieve them. Never distract yourself from accomplishing your Plan A, that’s why most people fail at it, because of distractions.

    • @judahbryantbasketballjourney
      @judahbryantbasketballjourney 4 роки тому

      LL Cool D and about the G-League, they most likely already know who they’re looking out for in those tryouts, you’ll see it when you get there, you see coaches conversing and laughing with certain players, then they call those same players up to go to the “actual” tryout. In an honest opinion, those tryouts are like a big payday for those guys, they know what they already have probably months before tryouts and they still persuade athletes with hoop dreams to go to them. But if you do decide to go, use short breaths because you’ll be running A LOT, pay attention to every detail, engage with your coaches and players, make sure you make 75% of your shots, have good footwork, show that you can be a leader, and please show them that you’re team player.

    • @judahbryantbasketballjourney
      @judahbryantbasketballjourney 4 роки тому

      LL Cool D but if I were you, I’d take my chances going to community college, then transferring to a D1, D2, or D3 school, play great in college, and hire an agent to help me make an NBA or G-League roster, that’s one of the easiest ways to reach those NBA courts. G-League teams love D2, and D3 players.

      User 654322 lol, I mean whatever you feel is best for your career you should pursue that. But, if you’re eligible to enter the draft, you’re most likely eligible to play at a high level, no matter if it’s the NBA or overseas.

    Sound like a regular basketball tryout. When they say “core guys” they mean they have pieces already you still can make the team & get built around the core.. you trying to play professional basketball you have to be able. To pass with both hands it’s not biased drills. Them guys who probably walked in? Were probably the “core guys” lol

      Those guys who walked in was literally the actual team. So many great players was in that tryout and not one made the cut. The head coach even said “we already have our team but, we wanted you guys to get the NBA experience”.

      Jay Simpson I know guys who’ve participated in the National G League tryout, and were deserving of a roster spot. But some things never change, from hs, to college, to the pros, if a team already has their players, no matter how good you are they’ll overlook you.

      Jay Simpson and “them guys” most definitely included players like Chris McCoullough and Theo Pinson. So many guys that went there should’ve made the team, and that’s a fact.

      Judah Bryant can you register and pay the day off..I’m trying to go on September 7th in Brooklyn..I much rather sign the agreements and pay that particular day

      MixTapeTMZ ChiChi well this is how unprofessional they are, on the advertisement, they said that they had reservations for a certain amount of players, and that your reservation had to be paid before all the spots were taken. So when I get there, there’s way more than the predicted 175 participants that were presumed of participating. But, when you go to the registration table, they tell you that you can fill out paperwork and pay for a tryout on the spot. I’m not saying it’s ok to fill out paperwork and pay the day of but, I’m also not saying that it isn’t ok. These people are unpredictable lol, so my best guess is to just follow everything that is saids on their website, because who knows what changes they may decide to do this year. Or you can just contact the people that work there, and they’ll tell you everything that you need to know . #StayBlessed #KeepBeingGreat

      741rockrock you have a very good chance, it’ll become even greater if you could hire an agent to persuade some G League teams that you’re capable of being on one of their rosters. A 6’5 guard like yourself has the ticket to play anywhere, because that’s what teams are mostly looking for (big guards). Just have to keep working, get your name out there, and stay consistent with your craft and everything will fall into place. You can even try your local G League but most of the time they already have their players.

    All BS they just look at flashy players who’ll bring attention to there team. Not the ones who are a real baller who can rebound and do the little things etc. They want big name players who played college. BS.

      Dylan Garcia I feel the same way, the better players are usually the ones who ends up being screwed because of politics. We just have to keep working to show the world that we belong in the big boys league😎💪🏽.
