I have had the privilege of not seeing this movie and I’m waiting for the right moment to watch it so I can enjoy it peacefully. The soundtrack is amazing and I just listen to it from time to time. But this is one of those movies that you wish you can rewatch it and not know anything about it. I just wanted to share this lol.

Love this score. I think of my parents when they migrated to the USA, they left behind their home village for a better life- carried a lot of struggles and trauma with them but they always made the best out of everything. I’m very thankful to be living the American dream each day.

The Revenant was the single most intense and beautiful movie I've ever seen in my entire life. Spotlight was an important movie, but this was the best picture of 2015

Ageless soundtrack 🐻

on the 23rd of January my mother died suddenly in a hospital during veins treatment. 8 days later passed away my father at home in front of my eyes.. The Revenant was the the last movie we watched together, just a few hours prior to that terrible event. Rough movie scenes in and this beautiful soundtrack will stay with me to the rest of my life.

Each time I listen I imagine the woodlands of a surrounding mountainous region being lightly cascaded upon by a flurry of small or large snow flakes, laying a white blanket upon the land to which it accepts for it to slumber for many days to come, no other sound resonating from the woods or the civilizations near and far but just the light drips from the icicles that formed just before from the freezing harbinger in the darkness of night.

Per me Ryuichi Sakamoto sarà sempre il grande maestro degli immensi spazi in cui l'essere umano attonito e contemplativo rimane fermo in una lunga pausa che nemmeno lui stesso vuol porvi fine a volte. Le pause della musica di questo nostro compianto compositore "suonano".. così come il "non finito" di Leonardo da Vinci, ci parla, evoca qualcosa ugualmente, ai nostri occhi interiori.

Every time I Listen to this I imagine a Native American warrior travelling around nature with his pet wolf or something like in this video with all these different landscape environments I wish native actors like Adam beach or Eric schweig were the lead characters in this film just to capture my imagination ☺

Something moved in me while watching the movie for the first time yeasterday. I knew those strings for about 5 years now from a remix made by Azaleh. Original score digs far more deeper though...
