I did not watch your hiking series but the algorithm found me. I hiked the Long Trail in 22 and 23 and in 22 it rarely rained and in 23 that’s all it did. I gave up early not walking in the mud and water and essentially had wet feet for almost the entire 270 to Canada. I also had my dog and she did not seem to care either way. I am bit surprised how you stopped, on a bad day but I assume you had to many bad days and it was not longer enjoyable. I am headed out to Colorado with my dog this summer to do the Colorado Trail. It’s the never ending rain that has made me stay off doing a thru hike of the AT. I am sure you learned a lot and you got to see a bunch. Unlike me you’re super young and you can always do it again if you want or not. take care
