(I can’t believe this video is 17 years old ) - I saw 3-4 small cuttlefish in Virgin Gorda , BVI. It was really close to shore , and their movements were synchronized. It was thirty + years ago , probably lasted 2-3 min and it’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

This is why playing hide and seek with a cuttlefish sucks. They don’t move. They just change color and texture. You can hear them breath while you count.

Lot of funny comments. But their beaks are incredibly strong a bite from her? would of been very nasty indeed, certainly capable of taking a finger/s off. And any blood in the water is never a good thing.

I live in Western Australia, quite a while ago, maybe 20 years(?) a diver died in an accident with a Cuttlefish. From memory it went for his head and grabbed hold of him, knocking his mouthpiece out. It was near Rottnest Island.

Diver died at Rottnest in the 90""s I think. Cuttlefish took a chunk of his ear off and he lost his reg. Wouldn't let go of his face. Lots having a laugh, and but defenceless land mammal under water is near the bottom of the page defence ladder.

Did that belong to Orderouse Urungus. Only a Gwar fan will get that.
