Jason you do not get wet on Sheikra either, the water tubes are right on the bcak of the carriage. You only get wet if you stand underneath the ride watching where you get a big wave splashes over the side, Its a great ride, Im looking forward to trying out Manta when I get to visit again

Haha yeah I agree with you there. But I also think that Manta isn't one of the best roller coasters you will ever get on either. Plenty of better coasters very close by, including one in the same park. Manta is still really great though.

No one cares about a stupid car. Is a car one of the best roller coasters you will ever get on? No. It's a vehicle that people drive around.

I went on it today...IT WAS FUCKIN AWESOME!!!!!! The G force is really heavy. I ended up with a headache after I rode it.

Seriously? That would be great since I live a lot closer to the San Diego one, but that one has almost no good rides. Journey to Atlantis there is ok but most of it is slow.

oh cool, thanks! i just wanted to know because my best friend went out to Florida on the day Manta opened and she texted me saying that she loved it (so jealous) but she said the water bit was amazing.

no, you do not get wet. unlike sheikra @ busch gardens. manta doenst actually dip into the water. sheikra utilizes its "rooster tail" for show and also to slow the coaster down. but, jets hiddin in the water are timed to go off as the wing of manta dips near the water to give the appearance of splash, but in reality its all smoke and mirrors ;-)

I agree. It's completely different... Just because it is the same type of coaster and has the same first drop, doesn't mean that they are the same. That's like saying Batman ride at SFOG is the same as Montu at Busch Gardens africa.

Duh, I'm not talking about the roller coaster submerging in water. I was talking about it going through tunnels with the rays, fish etc around you. I'm not that dumb...

OK Thanks, I read about it but didn't know if would be in the line...I thought the roller coaster went through the aquariums.

after passing the lockers/employee greeter/height check, and enter the queue line for Manta, you go through a set of well themed "underwater" caves, which ends at a fork where the line splits into both loading areas. While in these caves, you pass wall after wall of aquarium with various sea life from rays to sharks, with one LARGE aquarium in about the middle with a massive number of rays. The queue is very similar in fashion to the way Dueling Dragons was built.

I thought it was supposed to take you through aquariums and stuff...I havn't found a video yet that shows that.
