Haruki Solo Travel Japan / 春来旅
Japan
Приєднався 29 бер 2023
Thank you for watching my channel. This channel introduces my solo travel blog in Japan.
The origin of the name Haruki means spring comes in Japanese. The kanji that means the season when new encounters begin is "spring". Having lots of people watch my videos is like meeting new people. Like this channel name, I would be happy if there was a new encounter with you.
I will make videos in the hope that people who see this video will come to Japan someday. And someday I want to go to your country and shoot a video.
May your life be good.
Thank you from Haruki

Wow nice
thank you!
@@harukisolotravel I have been following you for a few days. Your video content quality is very good. But I noticed that, due to video optimization problems, the videos are not getting more views and subscribers. You need to fix it. Best wishes
Hello Haruki!!!!! The cherry blossoms are so pretty. A very nice sight when you look out your office window. Troy said to say hello and he misses you.
Troy & Tammy Long time no see.I haven't been able to film UA-cam since I've been busy with work lately.I am always healed because I can see cherry blossoms from the company.Since Japan is the home of cherry blossoms, you can see them anywhere.Cherry blossoms are always planted in schools and parks, and you can enjoy wonderful pink scenery in spring. And when the flowers fall, the pink petals become a very beautiful view as if it were snowing.I will go on a trip and shoot again when I calm down a little.Troy & Tammy, thank you for always caring about me!
@@harukisolotravel Troy and I are always here with you. The cherry blossoms are so pretty. I saw on our news that the Japanese Prime Minister is here in the US and has said he will be gifting 250 cherry trees to the US. We watched both of the short videos you put on here. With the container hotel video Troy said "he's funny when he jumps on the bed".
Troy and Tammy are really kind people. Thank you for looking forward to my channel. I would be happy if Japanese cherry blossoms would be enjoyed in America as well. I'm sorry that I've been busy and haven't been able to go to shoot, but please wait a little longer. I also plan to go on a trip and take pictures once my work has calmed down. I'll do my best to make Troy and Tammy happy.
@@harukisolotravel we understand that people get busy with work and can not always upload. Whenever you do upload we are always here to watch. Whenever I tell Troy its one of your videos he always says "that's my friend". I think the trees will all be planted in Washington DC. That is a 9 hour drive from where I live but will be worth it to see the trees. We miss you and understand you get busy and may take awhile to upload, but are always here for you when you do.
Troy and Tammy are my precious friends. I am very grateful that you are worried about me and understand me. I hope Troy and Tammy are happy and healthy.
Chef Haruki making an amazing meal
Thank you, Tammy! The teacher next to me seems worried that I won't fail. lol
@@harukisolotravel Troy and I knew you wouldn't fail at making them. I forgot to mention in the other video. Troy said all of the snacks you had on the window looked good. He has tried some of them and he likes them. We have a Japanese market close to where we live and have gone there a few times. Troy always picks out the snacks he wants.
@odson7589 Troy always watches my videos closely. I am very happy. There are many types of sweets in Japan, and famous sweets companies compete with each other to see how delicious they are, so the lineup is amazing and they are very popular among tourists from overseas. Some people buy a lot as souvenirs to take home. In addition, beauty products sold at pharmacies are popular souvenirs for tourists from overseas. Surprisingly, nail clippers are also a rare item that was featured on TV as a popular souvenir among foreign tourists. Like Troy, I also love sweets. Even as an adult, I still end up eating too many sweets. It's a strange feeling that the same sweets I had can be bought where Troy and Tammy live. Isn't it expensive to buy Japanese sweets in America? Troy and Tammy, thank you so much for always following me. I can't thank you enough.
@@harukisolotravel yes he does watch all of his videos closely. The prices on the items really isn't high. At our local grocery store I always buy his two favorite things. The Lotte Koala cookies ($1.20) and the Ramune soda ($2.22). He is always picking out different ones at the Japanese market. Luckily I have a translator app on my phone so I can read the label and know what I am buying. I should learn how to read and speak Japanese. I love scary movies and I watch a lot of Japanese horror. If I learn to speak the language I can watch them without the subtitles on all the time.
I was surprised that Tammy knew the word Lotte Koala Cookie. I'm glad that Troy says he likes Japanese sweets. I'm also interested in English, so I often watch American movies to learn how to listen and use conversational phrases. Tammy likes Japanese horror movies, right? I don't like Japanese horror movies. Seeing it makes me afraid to go to bed at night. lol However, I like Warner Bros.'s "The Conjuring" series and watch them often, but I can watch American horror movies even if they're scary, but I can't watch Japanese horror movies at all. Living in Japan, I feel like American horror movies don't really happen in real life, but since Japanese horror movies are filmed in Japan, it's easy to imagine realistic images of ghosts appearing in them. I can't help but feel scared when I think about it. lol
Hi Haruki!!!! Troy and I really enjoyed this video. A nice trip to have some amazing food. Troy said the udon looked really good. He said to tell you hello.
Troy & Tammy, how are you? I'm always helped by the support of two people.Spring is coming soon in Japan.Cherry blossoms bloom everywhere, so it's very beautiful. I wish I could introduce the beautiful scenery of cherry blossoms.
@@harukisolotravel we are doing good. I have seen pictures and videos of the cherry blossoms. I would love to be able to go to Japan and see them sometime. The whole country is beautiful. I know tattoos are not very common in Japan but here in America they are. On my leg I have a tattoo with cherry blossoms, lotus flowers and a phoenix.
Do you have a tattoo on your leg? Really? it's so cool! The cherry blossom, lotus flower, and phoenix tattoos are so cool! I think it's great that they all have a Japanese or Buddhist feel to them. As Tammy said, tattoos are not very common in Japan. The reason for this is the old customs and ways of thinking of the Japanese people. This is because in Japan, children grow up being taught by their parents not to hurt the precious body that was given to them by their parents. Recently, an increasing number of young people are getting tattoos as part of their fashion, but it will still take some time before they become commonplace.
@@harukisolotravel I selected this tattoo because of the Japanese or Buddhist significance to it. I know that many hot spring baths and other public baths do not allow people with tattoos to use them. I've seen other videos and they pointed out the signs saying "no tattoos allowed". I thought that is good information for tourists to know when visiting. They can plan their trip better. We are learning so many things from watching these videos. My dream is to one day visit Japan.
@@tammydodson7589 I see! In Japan, people with tattoos are prohibited from using hot springs and pools, but while this may be normal for us Japanese people, it may not be so for people from other countries. Thank you for the very good advice! The reason why tattoos are not popular in Japan is due to Japanese history and culture. Japan has also had a tattoo culture since ancient times. However, the meaning is slightly different from overseas tattoos. Tattoos that have existed in Japan since ancient times are called "irezumi.'' It is also called "wabori". Since ancient times, yakuza (japanese gangster) and bad guy have carved tattoos on their bodies to make themselves look strong. It also has the meaning of intimidating and scaring the other person. Because of this history and culture, tattoos are generally not accepted in Japan. Therefore, it is prohibited for people with tattoos to enter hot springs or pools, as the tattoos on their bodies will stand out and cause fear to those around them. Even if you have a small tattoo, you cannot go to the hot springs. This doesn't ban some people, some good people have tattoos, but it's hard to tell who's bad and who's good, so ban everyone who has tattoos. and maintains fairness. Nowadays, there are more and more cool, beautiful, cute, artistic and fashionable tattoos like in other countries, and this old Japanese custom may disappear with the times. I thought Tammy's advice that publishing more information about Japan would help foreign visitors to Japan prepare in advance was accurate! Thank you, Tammy!
Lol! I just found your channel and I love it! Happy travels 😊

Hi Haruki!!! Troy and I loved this video. He loves seeing the deer in Nara and I absolutely love the temple. Troy said to tell you hi and said thank you for feeding the deer.
I'm glad Troy and Tammy enjoyed this video. This video was shot for Troy and Tammy. Deer are very calm and used to humans, so they don't get angry even if you touch them. Feeding deer is a valuable experience. Many foreigners were happily playing with the deer. As a Japanese person, I feel happy when I see this.
@@harukisolotravel if we ever get to come to Japan, Nara is the first place we would like to visit. I think it is great that the school children get to do the trips on their own. When you were petting the deer Troy kept saying "I want to do that".
@@tammydodson7589 The deer in Nara Park are used to people, so they almost never run away or get angry. The deer food sold at Nara Park is called "Shika Senbei". Some deer will approach you from the moment you purchase this bait. lol If Troy comes to Nara Park, I'm sure he'll have fun surrounded by lots of deer.
@@harukisolotravel he would definitely love spending time with the deer. There is a you tube channel that Troy watches every weekend called Nara Deer Channel. The guy lives in Nara and goes every week to feed and film the deer. There is one deer there that Troy always watches for in the videos. He is a stag with scars on his face and the channel owner told us his name is Jack. Troy kept asking me if you were going to find Jack in your video.
I didn't know Nara deer channel until I was told it existed, but when I looked at the channel, all the videos of Nara deer were really there! Troy really likes deer, doesn't he? I think Troy, who loves animals, is kind-hearted and wonderful. I don't know if there was a deer named Jack in my video, but I would like to see him next time I have a chance.
they are cute. one of them stole half my roasted sweet potato from my pocket and gave me a headbutt in the family jewels. do not be fooled XD
Thank you for your comment. The deer in Nara Park are thieves with cute faces. lol Was it okay for your family to get headbutted by a deer? The deer in Nara Park have their antlers cut off for safety, so I don't think it hurts. I guess he wanted more food.
Hi Haruki!!!!! Thank you for another wonderful video. It is so beautiful there. Troy and I both learned a lot from you in this one. He did his best to answer the questions. He said to tell you hi and he looks forward to more videos from you.
Tammy and Troy, thank you for always watching my videos. Actually, I recently got COVID and was recuperating for a while. I was planning to edit and post the video sooner, but due to illness I was late. Tammy and Troy should also be careful of getting sick. Well, this time I made a video to introduce Japanese history and culture that people overseas don't know about. I was relieved that they seemed to enjoy it. Sometimes I'll try to make videos of quizzes like this.
@@harukisolotravelwe are glad you are feeling better and hopefully you won't end up sick again. I'm glad people are liking the video. It's always good to learn the history and culture of another country. Especially if someone plans to go there. We have learned a lot from videos on you tube. Troy always tells me that if we ever get to come to Japan, the main place he wants to go is Nara so he can see and feed the deer. He loves animals so his main places to go there have animals. Okunoshima, Aoshima, and various pet cafes are his other main selections.
@@tammydodson7589 Troy really loves animals! I'm also impressed by how well Tammy and Tory know about Japan. When you visit Nara for the first time, you will be surprised by the abundance of deer. Also, young children may be afraid of deer as they aggressively seek food. lol. A bait called ``Shika Senbei'' is sold. If you have deer crackers in your hand, deer will approach you, so we recommend hiding them when walking.😊
@@harukisolotravel Troy has always loved animals. He had me subscribe to the Nara deer channel on here so he can see them every week. I also want to see the deer there and feed them. They are beautiful creatures. He is excited about the deer and seeing then bow, but I also really like the Todai-ji Temple.
@@tammydodson7589 The schedule has been changed due to the coronavirus infection, but I also plan to shoot a video of Nara. I take lots of videos of deer. It may take some time to reschedule, but please look forward to it.🦌

Hi Haruki!!!! Troy and I really enjoyed this video. It looks so peaceful there. Although a definite workout walking up to the shrine. Troy says hi and said he is looking forward to your next video. Have a great day!

I plan to post a video of a temple in Kyoto again next time.Quiz on Japanese culture and history will also be introduced in the video. May Troy and Tammy be happy.
@@harukisolotravel definitely don't quit you tube. You make amazing videos!!! More people will discover them. This one was beautiful. Troy made me laugh though. He was remembering your ferry video and asked "how many Haruki's make the stairs?" We will always be here to support you 😊
@@tammydodson7589 Tammy, Your words give me strength and courage.Thank you very much. However, Troy's idea surprised me. How many Haruki climb the stairs? I couldn't think of such a great idea!Troy's idea is genius! but If I climb the stairs with many Haruki, I will run out of energy and fall down on the way. lol 😂 Troy, thank you for your good advice
@@harukisolotravel there were definitely too many steps. I often wonder with places like that, is there another way up for people who can't climb that many steps (example a person in a wheelchair or someone with arthritis in their knees)
@@tammydodson7589 That's right. This Fushimi Inari Shrine was built around 710.And most of the world-famous shrines in Kyoto and Nara are built in very old times. In today's Japan, consideration for the disabled is excellent. I think wheelchairs are probably easier to live in than other countries.Unfortunately, however, shrines built in 700 do not receive such attention. Japanese shrines were also places where people practiced in ancient times, so they were built on steep places such as mountains. There are places like Fushimi Inari where you can't climb with a wheelchair, but it's difficult because you can't remodel it. It is a difficult problem because it is important to pass on historical buildings to future generations as before. In that sense, I think it's meaningful to film videos for those who can't climb or visit.
🛳🛳🛳🛳

Yes u can have the beef tongue in USA. My son enjoyed a beef tongue burrito, filled with thin slice of beef tongue, beans, cheese, lettuce and tomato all wrapped into a flour tortilla
Maybe only available in mexican restaurant, thats only time ive seen it offered on menu
Thank you for your comment. In Japanese yakiniku culture, it is customary to order beef tongue first. Slice thinly, sprinkle with salt and pepper and lemon juice, and grill over charcoal. If you have a chance to eat Japanese yakiniku, please try it. The beef tongue eaten in Japan is a bit chewy, but I think it's delicious.@@renashort7155

@@tammydodson7589 Hi Troy and Tammy! It's an honor to have them both happy. I also want to meet Troy and Tammy someday and talk about various things. If my UA-cam channel becomes more famous, I think I will be able to travel to America, so I will do my best to make videos that people can enjoy. Troy and Tammy Thank you for always supporting me ! 😊
A huge ferry it looks many amenities to enjoy as well.
Thank you for your comment. Sunflower Krenai is a spacious and leisurely ferry. And since it's the latest engine, you can move around without worrying about shaking compared to other ferries.
Hopefully to visit one day, i know the foods are tempting but i have my favorite dish in Japan cusine. Have an awesome day ahead.
Thank you for your comment. And I am very happy that you are interested in Japan.Japanese cuisine is made with all its efforts to make the most of ingredients and with a view to becoming more delicious. Please enjoy your favorite Japanese food when you come to Japan.May you and your family be happy.
thank you @@harukisolotravel
Many high building" in japan.... And no montains in there... 😔
Thank you for your comment. The view in this video shows the window side of a train running on the sea side, so there are not many mountains.Mt. Fuji is the most famous mountain in Japan.
Thank you for the wonderful video. How long in advance would you recommend reserving the Gran Class.
Thank you for your comment. You can make a reservation for the Gran Class from ten o'clock in the morning, one month before the day you want to ride. On Saturdays and Sundays and holidays in Japan, I think reservations will be flooded when riding. And I think there will be a lot of reservations in July, August, December and January, when schools or long-term closures are closed.
@@harukisolotravel thank you so much for the response and information. This is very helpful!
@@admenocal I'm worried if it was conveyed through poor English explanations, but if you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
@@harukisolotravel thank you so much. Your explanation, was both in great English and useful. I will be traveling in December and using a JR pass, so I will reach out to JR a month before to make the reservation.
@@admenocal I hope you will have a good trip to Japan in December. I hope you can make a reservation for Gran Class well.😊
relaxing
The Gran Class seat was very spacious and spacious, so I didn't get tired no matter how long I rode it.
Thank you for another wonderful video. Troy and I enjoyed it. When you mentioned the beef tongue, although not widely eaten here (most people see it and say no way am I eating that), it is available here. I remember my father bringing home a whole beef tongue to cook when I was little. My brother, sisters and I didn't want to eat it, but the promise of ice cream after had us trying it. That was the only time I ever ate it and I can't remember what it tasted like.
Thank you for your comment. How are you,Troy? Your childhood episode about beef tongue was interesting. It doesn't seem very popular in America, does it?Beef tongue originated in Sendai, Japan, and is now eaten as a matter of course in Japanese yakiniku culture.Beef tongue is sliced and grilled, then dipped in salt and pepper or grilled meat sauce.I couldn't imagine a cow's tongue as a child, but now I love it.I recommend you to eat beef tongue in Japan, where the cooking method is devised, or in restaurants run by Japanese people. If you have a chance, please try again.😊
@@harukisolotravel Troy said hi and he is doing good. When you were showing the leg room in the seats he said "he's so funny". The way beef tongue is prepared there in Japan sounds good. When my father bought it, he opened the package and the whole tongue was in there. No slices, just a whole tongue. I know there are foods in every country that are considered a common food there that people in other countries think is unappetizing. Like I told my husband, we live in one of the southern states in the US. A common comfort food here is biscuits and gravy (a bread biscuit covered in a white gravy. Sometimes ground breakfast sausage is added into the gravy). People in other countries consider that to be a very unappetizing food. Unlike my husband and also Troy, I am more willing to try new and different foods. We have a few Japanese markets close to where we live and I love to shop there.
@@tammydodson7589 I'm glad Troy is doing well!Even so, did only the cow's tongue come out of the box? That will surprise me too!It could be traumatic! LOL.I can't eat shrimp or crab because I don't like it, so I was surprised to see them eating boiled crayfish in the American eating habits that are sometimes introduced on Japanese TV programs! When I was little, I caught crayfish in the river and put them in my aquarium, so I was even more surprised. What? Can you eat crayfish? LOL.There are many cultures and foods in the world.I'd like to try biscuits and gravy sauce someday.Lastly, thank you for watching the video with your family.I will do my best to make Troy enjoy my video, so please support me.
I do the bed test too.
Make sure you're safe before you jump in!😑
*Hehe I can fly. I go yeet*
It's good to jump in, but I was surprised by the shock more than I expected😅
i need 30 days/ 30 nights with this shrine😊
Thank you for your comment. 30 days is a long time. lol The god of this Izumo Taisha is one of the most famous gods in Japan. God will surely bless you.😄
love the quietness of Asian culture ❤😊
Thank you for your comment. You seem to like our Japanese culture quiz, right? I will try to make a quiz in future videos.😉
Hi from Mississippi USA. I love your videos. Love to see you get beef curry and lots of rice! Your sense of humor is so much fun.
Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you like my video! Everyone in Japan has heard of Mississippi at least once.I often hear a river called the Mississippi River. Someday I want to go to America and film a video.I am currently editing the next travel video. Please look forward to it.😆
camera: come back, you forgot me !!!!
Thank you for your comment. It's a secret that I went back to get my camera after closing the door. lol 😆
I love how it’s just a given that in Japan, people will keep things clean for the next person. The consideration is amazing and something western culture lacks. Very sad in my opinion. I can’t wait to visit Japan someday! Your videos are very good! Thank you for sharing with us!! 😊
Thank you for your comment😊 From an early age, Japanese are taught by their parents, school teachers and adults not to cause trouble to others. That's why it has become so commonplace. It is one of the cultures that I am proud of as a Japanese. Please come to Japan sometime.I'm a little shy, but I think you'll like it
You can feel the shock wave when you hit the bed through the camera 😮 ouch! Understandable why the bed would need to be hard though!
Thank you for your comment on this video too😊 I jumped in without knowing that the bed was hard, so I had a severe pain in my neck and it hurt for a while. Next time, check the hardness of the bed first and then jump in😆
Wonderful. Greetings from Canada.

Buon giorno 🍀. Come mai non ci sono i sottotitoli in italiano? Fino a poco tempo fa c'erano...😢.
