Excellent explanation.. how about going down in controlled manner ? I guess one just separates the leg and this makes the rope slide and one comes down gently without causing rope burns on palms ?

I can get up the rope no problem. It’s the descent for me. Any tips on this? I had Rebok nanos that grab so well, yet get stuck up there and it’s an issue!
