Cuda's IntelliDOT vs Manual & Auto Brightness
Переглядів 7742 роки тому
Cuda's IntelliDOT updates your reticle’s intensity 10x a second by continually measuring light at your target. So if you’re in a dimly lit room then transition outside into full sun, it will seem as if your reticle never changes intensity, yet remains perfectly bright. That’s the magic of IntelliDOT! If I could make my own Red Dot optic It would be super easy to use. My dream Red Dot optic would project an infrared dot onto the target it would have a special optic window in order to see the infrared dot. Unlike a laser sight if used at night one could follow the laser beam back to the shooter, with the infrared optic system the dot can't be seen unless you're looking through the optic window. Sighting in would be a breeze just fire three shots and adjust the infrared dot to the POI of the group. That's my dream Red Dot. If I ever win the Powerball I'll put it into production.

      I'll be damned that's actually a pretty good idea, although it might be hard to aim. I'm thinking it would be like using a laser but also using irons to match up with the laser dot...or I could be way wrong... You could always put a laser and red dot on the same gun and turn the Red Dot off and see how hard it would be to look through the Red Dot and use the laser to properly aim

    Funny cause vendors like Holosun advertise "parallax free".

  • @kamraam1464
    @kamraam1464 10 місяців тому

    Doesn't it all just come down to the focal length of the optic? If a red dot is parallax free at 25m, then the parallax will come back at any distance beyond that and it'll be very noticeable. I believe most red dots have infinite focal lengths so there will always be parallax regardless of what you're aiming at. Am I missing something?

  • @jamesbryant8129
    @jamesbryant8129 10 місяців тому

    Dude made up a problem and then proposed a solution. Get a quality optic like Trijicon Leopoldo or Aimpoint leave your optic on at a brightness that will work in most situations and just change the battery every 6 months to a year.

      Further the target is, lesser parallax you have. Unfortunately "parallax free" actually means "small parallax" in most of reflex type red dot sights. Only Holographic sight can achieve true "parallax free" with its physical theory.

    This is adorable.....they are acting like they invented shake awake. Also, you set your red dor once and leave it thats why you get 50,000 hours on top tier red dots. 😂😂

    • @cudaoptics
      @cudaoptics Рік тому

      Sights with shake awake must remain motionless to turn off and stay off. For example, if a sight with shake awake and CUDA's IntelliDOT are both sitting on a table and that table gets bumped, the shake awake sight will turn on and stay on for about 10 minutes, but the CUDA sight won't turn on until you pick it up. Now, let's say both sights are mounted to pistols you carry all day. At the end of the day, the sight with shake awake would have never shut off because it was in motion the entire time. But the CUDA sight would have shut off in seconds when holstered vertically, and it would have remained off until you picked it up to use it again. CUDA's IntelliDOT uses an accelerometer to detect motion. It's much smarter about managing battery life because it's knows when you're using your sight and when you're not. Sights with shake awake, on the other hand, rely on a simple motion sensor to detect vibration, so they can't tell when they're actually being used. So no, we didn't invent shake awake. We just created a system that's far superior to it.

      Good question. It actually does more. It just doesn’t make the user have to manage. It handles intensity control all automatically and IS always ready. The goal was to make it smarter so you can focus on the target and no worry about your sight.

    • @cudaoptics
      @cudaoptics Рік тому

      Actually, it does A LOT more! Out of the box, it's simple and pretty much ready to go. Just install the battery, mount it, zero it and shoot. CUDA's IntelliDOT handles everything for you (see our other video on IntelliDOT ua-cam.com/video/vH3pFlNibTs/v-deo.html): intelligent intensity adjustment, automatic battery check and diagnostics, and auto on/off... it even turns off when holstered! But if you want to take things a bit further, you can do a manual battery check anytime you want and the battery level will be reported back to you via beeps and reticle flashes. There's also a settings menu you can access with our buttonless SecureTaps so you can adjust your preferences such as your personal Intensity Offset.

    How good does this optics perform when racked against a post for one handed manipulations? Have you done some sort of torture testing? I am concerned about the sensor when doing one hand manipulations. Any comment on that? This optic might be very promising, unfortunately there are hardly any reviews up to now.
