I love your videos and I adore your cats. Quick advice about the plants and algae growth.... try to limit the hours of light or put the tank towards a part of the room that does not get too much sunlight. Too much light makes the algae grow faster. I ended up putting mainly large rocks becuase the plants were too much upkeep.

Owning a ton of pets certainly isn't for everyone. I have easily over 100 pets. Most of my pets are tarantulas but I also have 3 poison dart frogs, a Pacman frog, 8 African dwarf frogs, a leopard gecko, a uromastyx, mourning geckos, 2 corn snakes, a Vietnamese giant centipede, 4 scorpions (3 Asian forest scorpions and a deathstalker), a tailless whip scorpion, giant land snails, 2 fancy mice and 4 ferrets. My pets are my entire life (and my partners too!) I breed and sell tarantulas, dart frogs and mourning geckos on a very small scale, but with plans to expand one day into a proper business. I only post on Instagram currently, but I plan on making a pet-centered UA-cam channel in the near future to share my over 25 years of experience keeping a wide variety of exotic pets. I have a lot of knowledge to share. I can certainly see some of the issues you bring up with it though. I wouldn't want to have a part in normalizing having so many pets or encouraging people to aspire to live like I do. It REALLY is not the life for 99.999% of people. I cannot leave home for more than a few hours at a time. No vacations, no overnight family or friend visits, pretty much all my extra money goes into caring for my animals (ferrets are not cheap!) So, I don't get to do things like eat out, go to the movies or dying my hair because it needs to go into my animals. I chose not to have children because I couldn't keep venomous animals or free-roam ferrets and that's a hard no for me. I'm perpetually cleaning up poop. I don't really have free time; I have to be on top of soooo many things. For me it's totally worth it but I make a lot of sacrifices to make sure my animals are well cared for, happy and healthy. There's a lot more that goes into keeping many animals than what people see in a 10-minute UA-cam video. It gives a wrong impression of what it's like. There are already so many animals out there that were bought after some kid saw it in a cute UA-cam video and got it without doing any proper research about the animal and inevitably, they end up suffering horribly. So many of the animals I keep or have kept were rescued from (unintentional) terrible situations just because their previous owners were not properly educated on the care of the animal and we don't need to add to that problem of impulse buying pets. People do need good information from experienced keepers though and pet owners/pettubers do have a right to make videos talking about their pets, so I don't know what the best answer to the problem is. I just wish people had better discernment and knew when enough is enough and would set their own limits when it's time to, as well respect the animal enough to learn how to properly meet its needs and be prepared BEFORE getting it.

We just adopted a four-year-old female, guinea pig and know she needs a companion. But my other daughter is really interested in getting a rabbit.. I know it’s not a smart idea to have them in the same cage for safety reasons. But for both of them companion wise, if they had cages near each other to see and/or interact, but in a safe separate space do you think that would work for them to not be lonely or do they really need one of their own kind?

She kept calling people irresponsible despite showing people who own literal zoos and sanctuaries and people who keep nothing but insects and arachnids. She made a video about wanting desperately to breed her elderly gecko before she passes away and insists on doing everything the laziest and cheapest way possible. She flat out admitted she didn’t feel like getting any incubation supplies, so she slid over a heat pad that was on one enclosure so that it was part way under the egg bin. When they hatched, she decided she didn’t even want them and decided to do a free giveaway of live animals, sending them god knows where to god knows whom. Then she makes this garbage and has the nerve to use actual thumbnails to call out creators who clearly care more for their animals than she does.

Have you tried a magic eraser on the stains? I have Guinea pigs and that is what happened to my wall and I’ve found it works very well for me.

I have a question so I heard that Rabbits can carry diseases that can make Guinea pigs sick I’m not sure if that is true or not but I read where someone said their vet said as long as bunnies and Guinea pigs are sneezing distance then it’s ok is that true?
