How to Play Around Cards in Weiss Schwarz?

How to Play Around Cards in Weiss Schwarz?
I haven't played Shadowverse in a long time, since probably Fortune's Hand. Having a hard reset would definitely bring a lot of old players back, along with introducing new players to the game. There probably won't be rotation in the beginning of the game, which I think is a good thing since IMO unlimited is far more fun. The Eachtar, Heavenly Aegis, and Bahamut spam during Tempest of the Gods are some of my fondest memories of the game, despite it being hilariously unbalanced.
Won my locals this past Saturday with your deck build. Thanks for the video, keep up the great work.
Glad it worked for you too! Thank you ❤
So now that I finally understood how to play shadowverse from a Yugioh brain, I get noted that there is gonna be a reset!!
is there gonna be account migration? idk if i should start playing SV
I think your numbers on lvl 0 probabilities (starting at around minute 8) are wrong. The cards in your starting hand (without mulligan) are distributed ~ Hypergeometric(50,x,5), where x is the amount of lvl 0 characters. Idk how you calculated your numbers, but imo it should be: At least 1 lvl 0 without mulligan: 12 lvl 0 - 76.32% 16 lvl 0 - 86.87% 20 lvl 0 - 93.27% At least 1 lvl 0 with mulligan: 12 lvl 0 - 95.4% 16 lvl 0 - 98.72% 20 lvl 0 - 99.71% At least 3 lvl 0 without mulligan: 12 lvl 0 - 8.23% 16 lvl 0 - 17.96% 20 lvl 0 - 31% At least 3 lvl 0 with mulligan: 12 lvl 0 - 35.48% 16 lvl 0 - 58.43% 20 lvl 0 - 77.23%
I hope you’ll keep making Shadowverse videos when World Beyond is released
Still a newbie at this game, thanks for this
mehlay my hungrybox plz :)
Can’t believe cassim is not here
Uncomplete Archetypes... my personal nightmare as an archetype lover and a tribal-only player... It were a good video though 👍
So I was about to try playing the original shadowverse, should I wait for the new game or start the original?
Grate arguments I won't be playing worlds beyond however. I can remake my 12 years collection
I’ve played OG Shadowverse before, but never staying the heck out of the SWitch game. This could be good if the UI is accessible(I am legally blind) & the game is more welcoming with card gains.
@@idongesitusen5764 agree to your point. I have tried playing blind for a stream, and concluded it was impossible. No way to read cards mid-game, no easy selection of cards in hand or field. Even if you know all cards' entering voicelines, it's too hard. Most Japanese companies usually dont take into account people with disabilities at all, I wish more effort was done cause it isnt that much effort to make it playable to more players
They could have avoided player resistance to change by instead making this project a Granblue Fantasy card game that's Shadowverse 2 in all but name. They could still crossover with the Shadoverse, RoB, etc. characters like Granblue always has. They already have people softened to the "metaverse" UI with the VS/Rising lobbies, Granblue just got a massive popularity spike in the west with Re:Link and yet they keep fumbling every opportunity to build up the IP like they claim they want to. EoSing Dragalia, Rebooting VS in less than three years, not having post-launch support for Re:Link and now EoSing Shadowverse all so close together make CyGames look like a very incompetent company not worth investing your time into.
I want to build a fate grand order deck so this is a great start, but I still have to ask. What would you recommend for a deck with the green ozymandias of fate grand order? Or in general of that set I would like to build any color but yellow really
Just took a look at the set; the 3/2 ozymandias combo is not very strong since expensive + needs to reverse, but maybe you could try to make the 1/0 nitocris stock combo work with the support that gives Encore Clock to all Pharaohs to keep it on the field The only FGO player I know either runs a Mash waifu deck (very defensive but folds to board breaking) or a YR deck using both Bedivere combos and early summoning the Lion King without her climax combo
Very bold indeed, they also put there newly release physical TCG on weak legs into this future, not something I can invest into, knowing the IP is being ditched.. But then again there are other TCG`s upcoming, Grand Archive for example, with unique playability, great collectability, very high quality, great cost to get involved, best mechanics on the market, and very clean aesthetics, solved the power creep issues with allowing prints in tournaments, they are fan funded and developed, they have fair card distribution, some nice lore going, how about the most insane deck building options, the name does fit the purpose, so nothing to complain really.. Go figure, cheers!
Been playing this game for 10 years, but building a good deck is never easy 😄
I think that another, not so apparent, reason for this change is that now that Shadowverse Flame is almost over, they will need a new one. And what better way to make it more interesting than having new rules like what Cardfight Vanguard has done over the years. Just a thought.
Love the unique weiss content, very badly needed by the community esp for growth
surprise on the 3 attacks going second. I suppose it depends on deck type but I never go for 3 attacks unless I have a JC or smth. You absolutely destroy your hand size and if you trigger on your first attack really hard to clean that first stock out on turn 2 trying to burn through 3 stocks
@@npw9648 a few years ago it would have been an ultra risky play yeah. But now, with the quantity of level 0s that give you back handsize (JC, clean cut, HOL Aqua, lvl 0 combos in some decks), it has become a common play pattern It also gives you 3 occasions to trigger and get back handsize; some decks are ok with paying 3 stocks on turn 2
Or you can just check in encore deck what already exist and copy it 'cause you are so unoriginal ! great video btw! thanks for the tips ! thanks for being here !
It would be nice to see the application of all these principles in a video where you deckbuild from scratch a deck from a very new JP set, exactly motivating your decisions. Also considering the techs you insert to take into account other decks in the meta
I tried to showcase that with the SpyXFamily being built as the advices were shown, but I'm up to do that exercice for future sets! Thanks for the idea!
Congratulation and thanks you for this masterpiece. This, is a public utility video for all players.

Very informative, and I appreciate the data behind your decisions. Nicely done!
As promised, here is the video on deckbuilding! What's the next Weiss topic you wanna see covered on this channel?
Hopefully u will get a lot more subscribers with this kind of video quality and effort.
I tried shadowverse out for a while but I was pretty bored with all the different leader options. There doesn't appear to be as much of a clear divide between deck archetypes as there is in mtg. Every deck felt basically the same.
The chibi meta verse is questionable to say the least

I wanna cry after watch this video 😢
Très intéressant. Good job
Was the aggro-sword his specialized deck to counter factory? Or was it a meta deck with his added tech?
It was a tier 2-tier 3 deck at its time that was considered only good for ladder At this time Artifact Portal and Last Words Shadow became a league above the other decks with the mini expansion support, completly snowballing past turn 6 Most players tried to contest a particular aspect of those decks, Shimon just identified you could aggro your way before their big payoffs
Hâte de voir ton propre histoire lol
Grave envie de la faire plus tard, mais en débat de si je la fais à la 1ere ou à la 3ème personne haha
I didn't know there's an SV player like him. I have been living under the rock 😂
a new masterpiece
More like we figured two things. 1) permanent unstoppable powercreep is bad. 2) nerfing low rarity card for no real reason is bad. Dropped this shit, when they nerfed bronze stealth frog.
Honestly, quick games are the thing that made me quit Shadowverse, having a quick game end it 7 turns is ok, but there were plenty of games that where over in turn 2 or 3, and going into higher turns and having both players work for the win is really fun
Im really glad I quit on the alice expansion because of bullshit powercreep and censorship
One thing I really liked back when I played the game was the way its "arena" mode (I don't remember what it was actually called) was structured, with you having to choose between pairs of cards rather than selecting individual cards for your deck. It made for interesting decision making during the draft phase and forced you to try to make less optimal cards work because you had to pick them alongside something you really wanted. Also, the "make cards always useful" bit was a huge plus, a lesson that took Hearthstone way too long to figure out and they still under-utilize it.
4:00 I thought it was draw 1 for draw, then clock to draw 2 more cards. Total of 3 cards. Everyone I've played with plays like that.
Is this another P2W card game? I'm looking for one that isn't.....
I subcribed !! Love the video !!
See, despite the Katara being overall worse I still run two copies of her in my azula deck. My playgroup runs a lot of decks that exploit markers, and even some of my decks use em so its an effect that comes up far more often for me personally. Do I reccomend it for locals? Definitly not. But I see success with it because of how my playgroup plays the game
Yeah I could have mentionned that, if a card is very situational but is a perfect answer to things in your environment (I assume 5HY Miku or post ban Overlord), then it gets a good use case and becomes playable I'll make sure to mention that in the "how to build decks" video
I played it reasonably early on. I remember some kind of elf combo deck and some kind of time warp combo deck being pretty fun. I haven't played it in a long time, but I can't really remember why I stopped aside from the usual fatigue of keeping up with spending on new cards.
unfortunately, the thing that turned me down was the lengh of the games, i hated the fact that games were dictated by turn 7-8 tops because i usualy tend to play with control decks, meaning if i had poor draws or were heavly rushed i would prob lose a game with little room to recover. moreover, shadowverse has little to no interaction whatsoever during your opponent's turn, meaning if they have a strong storm-like or burn deck, there is little to nothing you cant do sometimes.
All I can see is the same game with the same graphics which were already outdated at the original release. The new player interaction "metaverse" system is something no one wants and no one asked for. Just as Zuckerbers Metaverse, which was nothing more then a retarded Idea from a billionaire no one dared to question and now absolutely no one cares about. The only good thing is the full reset for new players but again...just copying the very same outdated look is beyond stupid. Shadowverse 2 will be the biggest waste of potential ever witnessed
Shadowverse Champions Battle was really special in how it took a retro format, but added cards and also made balance changes to the original card pool, leading to a revamped retro format of sorts. All the changes were also really good, so they seem to really know what they're doing.
Back in the day, I remember Evolution points were the key selling point compared to Hearthstone. This was back when Hearthstone was just curvestone, and tempo was everything, but also before Shadowverse had a REALLY strong identity of "ramp into OTK" style decks like you describe in the first half of the video
