Clean, really clean
honestly, before 2018 when President Xi became president, the rivers in the cities and in the villages were not clean as now. The air condition is also terrible, especially in winter and in northern cities. But after 2018, the environment gets better every year and every day.
when I moved to Beijing in 2017 the air quality was usually pretty bad, but now it usually pretty good!

this is a small park right next to the tower, but do have footage of Yuyuantan Park shot on an overcast windy day, will edit that next. The dancers are from Xinjiang Province!

China hasn’t been communist since the 1980s. You’re talking about things that are common to East Asia. Crime is low. Homelessness is low. cost of living is low. This is not because of the communist government. And as for crime, I’m sure if you wore a shirt that was critical of the government you would be committing a crime. Just like those people held up blank pieces of paper because they couldn’t speak their mind.
The government in China owns and regulates sectors such as banking, utilities and health care, which are run for purpose not profit, keeping life affordable for working class people. The vast majority of the population aren’t critical of the government because they can see their life improving in real time. For example, since I’ve lived in Beijing the air quility has gone from horrible to pretty good thanks to ever evolving government policies. Actually, I used to live by where the blank pieces of paper protest happened, unfortunately my reporting on that and of the lockdowns got my channel at the time terminated.
Nope, China even 20 years ago has some crazy crimes, heist, robery, murder are all rampant. China is not a capitalist country, but also not a communist country. It is complicated...
