Ancient Church St Michael, Llanfihangel Rhos-y-corn, Carmarthenshire Very old church supposed site of hermitage, early works seem to be 1300's and last phases built in 1500's. Welsh Lych gate 1900's. Very old site in remote countryside fascinating to walk around atmospheric. Nice original careworn feel to site. Fortunately not restored up to the eyeballs. Great place to stop on a cycle run.

That did it! Fixed. Thank you. Paint thinner to degrease then scuffed up the outside of the bearing and the inside of the housing/cassette with some fine sandpaper and used some simple 2 part epoxy. It's brilliant. Glad I found your video.
Sorry is this drill brushless?
The brush drill is legendary
Does this drill brush less?
What bout the reel
Nice video, well presented, I've just purchased an antique telescope and it comes apart but there's just something inside the lenses still and this might have solved it. Thank you very much
Just the video I was looking for. Im currently making a swiss army knife cross bow toothpick shooter and needed a way to fold the cross bow back in the SAK. Thanks for the tutorial!
Without a doubt, this is the best channel where the correct disassembly of fishing reels is explained. 😊 Best regards from DK and Argentina ! 🙋♂️ JH 🇩🇰 JOSS 🇦🇷
They let anyone just walk in like this?
Yes of course its a church.
Thank you for sharing, great talk through and demo👍🤓🏴
missed that lesson in our metalwork class ;) thanks
"I think that's called the escape wheel" LOL
Hi, I made the mistake of trying to unscrew the two foot screws, and I was successful with one of them, albeit now the crosshead on one doesn't look quite as nice as it did before I started (doh!!), but they are in VERY tight, but mine (1941 Pflueger Skilkast) were indeed screws (threaded anyway), but you are right to leave well alone, and for me what is done is done (learned the hard way unfortunately). Yours may be rivets, not sure? Just waiting for an early1930's Summit to arrive myself (lighter red jewel on the earlier ones), and I'll give it a proper service and polish, but I'll be leaving those bl**dy crosshead things alone! Love these old American reels Cool video btw, thanks for posting it. Edit: Got the reel and stripped it down; no washers in mine either (or in my SkilKast version). Cheers. Paul
Create video! But for the record, the first major piece you removed is a cock, not a bridge (a bridge would be spanning something from one side to the other, attached on both sides). It's actually a cock with a foot, the foot being where the hole for the pin and screw is. This comment is not for you, it's for people who are learning the parts of the watch. I'm sure you know the terminology but misspoke.
I can't find the video to resemble? How can I find it?
I believe you should not put any lateral strain on the chain, as it can result in a loosening of the links. It is best to support it while pulling it straight out. Think of the link that is closest to the support as the chain is dangling in mid-air, that link is being strained by the entire weight of the chain.
Hello do know what the 14 02 numbers mean
Likely serials
What did you use to lift the scooter to enable you to remove the wheel safely?
probably just a wood block, a scissor jack would probably work.
great ho to replc a tyr wit al th importan bits missin
What are the dimensions of the windshield wipers, please tell me?
Hi! Do you know of any way to remove and clean the drag stack? Thanks!
I brought new batteries and got everything as it should be but it seems they aren't charging I'm only getting the on light for my charger not the charging light :(
Not charging means two things, not drawing current or Brocken charger. So test the batteries separate from your system. Use a car batt charger if it works and draws current then check for a path between the charger and the battery. If path is good then the charger is bad.
The bails are not go on there reels 👎
I super glued my brass piece to casing worked great.
A lot of people have said 'It wont last' but I am still using it, it still works.
So did mine
Thanks!
Can you pls share dimensions
Yes I have it some where in my note book.
This was amazing to watch you make , it was perfect 😊
Thank you very much, i managed to make a new bumper with a piece of alluminium, very satisfying. the wonders of youtube, best regards
love your vids keep them coming
The piece of ground steel is a metal lathe high speed tool bit blank The other tools are made to measure inside diameter bores accurately. Inserted in the hole, you then lock the telescopic end in place and then pull out of the hole and use a precision micrometer to measure the distance between the faces
Ok thanks
This is so helpful! Thank you for taking the time to make such a great video!!
I was about to go crazy until I realized the problem. Bless your hands. Thank you very much. 🙏🧿
You English talk like you got me ga ga in your mouth.
Have a switch
I have a issue with one i just purchsed the bail arm will not remain open to cast thoughts
There is a mech inside the spool winder which controls this. The hold is usually on the outside of he winding drum. It may be worn. Its old.
I was gifted one June2023, how do I use this reel?
Its for sea boat trolling.
Where can I get block tyres for Kymco agility like those in your helpful guide?? Mine are the original slick ones and I cant find better grippiing ones.
Do you know anything about the Klondike wooden reel. It's the same as the Charles chaz Lehman from the 1900s?
I haven't seen one here.
Thanks
good job, what type of epoxy?
Where is how to remove panel??? 🤦♂️
Thank you :)
I bought one new in 1979 which makes it 44 years old and it is still going strong, despite rattling away in various tackle boxes. French made Mitchell's are built to last
Good video, very helpful. Thanks!
I’d like to see how you got the old drip and handle off.
You ever find any videos on this? That's where I'm at. I need to maybe weaken the old resin/glue with a torch?
@@HoopesJohnC no, never did
@@keith4230 I remove old grips with pliers, just squeeze and rip out the chunks of cork. Once that's done I use a heat gun to heat up the old seat. Use gloves and an old towel to pull on the seat. You'll probably have to do this several times but eventually the seat will come off. For a video tutorial, check out Proof Fly Fishing's UA-cam channel, he has step by step instructions.
needs a new battery?
Miracle ! 🙂
Hi can you remove the tyre from the scooter 🙂
yes, nuts out
Best vid I’ve watched on the process - thank you 👌 what type of wax do you use to finish the handle ?
Bees wax dissolved in natural turpentine. This soaks into the top surface, the turps evapourates and leaves a wax coat.
When you dismantle the bail arm you should remove the trip cover, take out the trip pin and small spring, then by removing the bail pick ups leave them attached to the bail arm, once springs are removed then un-screw the bail pick up one end then by using the spanner supplied remove the bail locking nut to release the line guide and roller. You should also remove the axle before undoing the nut holding the rotor cup on
Very nice work. Realizing it's of course hard to get some processes in focus on camera, but even if they were out of focus or not perfectly framed, it might be worth leaving some in, in future videos. Trust your viewers to be able to fill in the gaps, and figure out what's going on, even if it's not perfectly shot. Beautiful, small controlled work there. Congratulations.
Ok can be tricky at that size.
What weight line would it take?
Well its a limited drum for thicker modern lines. People still use these though. They come in with all kinds of line weights on them.
