Thanks for this very helpful & thought-provoking podcast! I loved your musings at the beginning as well as Shana’s essay about matriarch(y). Brilliant! I am at that point in my journey & have intentionally chosen ways in which to support my children & grandchildren. It is a part of what I want MY legacy to be. Sending wishes for a joyful & healthy year ahead & “BIG LOVE”!😊❤

So glad you enjoyed it, Wendy ❤
As always, loved the conversation. Thank you :D
So glad you enjoyed it! ❤
I do think as we get older, we re-evaluate our relationships. What are we giving, receiving and how do they make us feel? Sometimes, we need to decide to let it go for our own emotional health.
Loved it ladies! I can always relate to your message : )
The left is definitely not balanced!!!😂
Unstable demos
What a bunch of nonsense 😂😂😂😂😂

Still such a moving and powerful essay. Home is such an infinite subject. A place that is supposed to be a safe harbor, its often the place where we suffer our worst pain. But they are always loaded with potent memory whether happy or sad or mixed. Michelle's story of her father's home was equally moving. Thanks as always.
What a meaningful compliment to offer me, Marjorie. Thank you.
I just loved the way you described the importance of your female friends in your life. You always make me think about things. Thanks.
I'm still reeling but it helps to hear you feel the same. I love the conversation. I'm there with you as I watch. :D
So glad to hear that you, too, feel the comfort of solidarity. Thank you for listening!
Definitely a great conversation. I think our expectations and needs change as we move through the seasons of our lives. Of course, those changes happen for the friend, too. And thus, we don't always remain on the same page, even when conflict doesn't arise. Then there are some people who just work harder at relationships than others. Thanks for the brain candy and inspiration.
Thanks so much for watching! Couldn't agree more-- we change so much and we can fall out or grow apart with people we once enjoyed.
Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment, Marjorie! ❤
Beautiful essay, Michelle. Have you read Barbara Brown Taylor's book, "An Altar in the World: A Geography of Faith?" Its a book that discusses the divine in the everyday. The novel that that roused my own faith walk, was Les Miserables. If you haven't read the novel, its a worthy endeavor. Wonderful discussion, ladies.
Thank you for this feedback Marjorie! I have not yet read that BBT book, but now it's on my list! And I am a HUGE Les Mis fan, as we named our fourth daughter Cosette after that character :)
That was fun! I really enjoyed going down the music memory road with you. Also, I never knew that until just now about that James Taylor song.....WHAT??? :D
So glad you enjoyed!! Big Love to you. <3
So many people I love are going through this right now. What a beautiful conversation about a transformative time of life. It really is easier when you don't feel alone in your weeping.
Thank you ❤️ You're right - it's so much easier together.
Big love back to you, Marjorie 😊
big, big love.
the biggest!
so true.
Thank you, Annie 🙏🏻
100% Ladies
Glad it captured your imagination!
Terrific prompt. TY.
Thanks, Marjorie 😊
Another good one, Shana.
"...cleaved [her life] in two: before loss and after..." Whoa! Such a powerful essay. And I'm SOOO excited for this memoir!
I agree!
Brilliant, very moving and a wonderful tribute. Thank-you for sharing!
We agree! Such beautiful writing.
We are so glad you enjoyed it!
I LOVE it! So authentic, so honest, so genuine. I know Annie and she is a force of nature as well as brilliant and so inspirational.
Truly!
One of my favorite writers-Annie Adams!
She is wonderful! We're so lucky to have had the chance to speak with her.
That was a beautiful, personal story. I can very much relate. I am also adopted and to this day I deal with issues. I love the interaction between all of you and the way you share. :D
Zuzu, thank you for your being such an enthusiastic supporter of our show. We are so glad the topics of our conversations resonate with you, especially this one. ❤
So glad this resonates with you, Zuzu. Thanks for tuning in!
🫶🏻 this.
It really is a beautiful essay 🩷
Beautiful essay. Thank you, Joy. "It is a beautiful thing you are doing."
Another great episode. It hit home for me on a couple different notes. One is the "not having time for that" which leads into the boundaries. I have recently started redefining my boundaries and I'm finding some surprising outcomes. Not all good but not all bad. Thank you for sharing. I think leaving this world with regret would be a tough one so bravo to you both for just going for it! 💖
So glad to know you can relate too! There’s something freeing about this age that I’m really grateful for 🙏🏻
Love the wedding ring that you looked at while swimming.
😊 thank you
thank you! It was such a sweet reminder :)
So glad it resonated with you, Zuzu! And you summed it up so perfectly ❤
Another great video :D We grieve change if it's not the happy change. We just have to walk through it and hopefully on the other side we've grown and in that growth we get stronger 🌺
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. I can totally relate :D
So glad you enjoyed this!
I’m sorry you know the grief of losing a parent too, Shannon. Thank you for listening ❤️
Was so touched by your episode on Grief having just lost my dad-my 24/7-looking forward to tm’s episode!
What
Another powerful episode. I appreciate your willingness to share these intensely personal experiences. I feel as I get older that I am less willing to continue relationships that aren't healthy for me whereas even a year ago I tried to keep them. I will not be silent anymore but I do try to kindly share my truth and if it's not heard then I may get a little more bold as needed. It feels good to give myself permission to do that now.
Thank you for listening, Zuzu. I agree with your thinking. I’m finding one of the most beautiful things about aging is to feel more free to speak our truth and let go of what no longer serves us. ❤
I'll have what you're having Zuzu! YES, this.
💓💓💓
Thank you, Tonya ❤
Thanks to both of you for your willingness and courage to tell your stories. A very powerful episode.
thank you 💜 It was time
